I know this is an old video, but I just wanted to say "THANK YOU." The combination of general advice with actual folfing techniques was very useful, and the folds themselves were simple yet stylish. If I could rate this, I'd give it five stars.
Agreed that the stair fold is fun to fold. Feels like a sophisticated and fancy origami fold. But I personally like the simple and clean look of the presidential fold
Thank you for this video. Very helpful and informative. However, I highly disagree with not wearing the matching pocket square with the tie. The pocket square brings out the matching tie really well. Please re-consider that advise. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you
I like wearing a pocket square with a dress shirt, tie and waist coat. The added flare of color and rolled sleeves exposing my forearms is a winning combo for me. AND the ladies let me know they like the look too. 👍
0:34 - "you can wear a pocket square on ANY occastion, depending on the fold." Oh please elaborate! Also: is wearing a white pocket square, as opposed to a colourful one, bound by any rules / occasions?
That's exactly what I was thinking. Really disagree with him matching the pocket square. That's a clean look. Youngsters think they know everything..lol
It really depends, if that table napkin is miraculously the size of a pocket square and is a suit color suited for your outfit, I would (but only with simple folds like the classic/presidential).
"Only wear a pocket square with a Suit, Blazer, and Sports Jacket." Not with a waistcoat when worn without a Blazer or Sports Coat? If wearing a Paisley bow tie (I detest neck ties) a matching (colors and design) Paisley pocket square is a "no-no"? With a Paisley tie, or a Paisley waistcoat, do you recommend a solid color pocket square?
I think it's possible to use a napkin for the white presidential fold. No harm trying it out, desperate times calls for desperate measures. Just be sure the quality of the napkin is not paper like.
When it comes to the classics, a bow tie is ideal when wearing a tux paired with a white pocket square. In this modern age, it's okay to wear anything with patterns but I do prefer a white presidential fold with a black tux 😁
Matching or complimentary?..lol Matching or not that's what a pocket square is meant to be, complimentary. You stated a matching pocket square is TACKY! So not true! It may be your personal preference but you make it seem like your preference is above all and all others is TACKY!
Very nice young man and well meaning but not well informed. Wearing a square that matches your tie is standard. That’s why they are made and sold that way, however if you want to look like you don’t know what you’re doing, then by all means, follow rule 2, go for mismatched colors and look like a hillbilly who patch worked his outfit or maybe just look like you’re desperate for attention. Rule number 3, every product has a reason and a market. If you like clip on ties and pre folded pocket squares, believe me, nobody will care except some fop who doesn’t make any difference in your life. Rule number 7 makes no sense at all. The rest of the rules I can vouch for. A little constructive criticism, when you have a fairly heavy Asian accent, you should try and slow your speech down when speaking English otherwise it’s sounds like you’re slurring your words like you’re drunk. Very nice young man and an excellent demo video. Cheers!🥂
Thank you so much for watching! Here's 5 more pocket square folds 😄

A little late but thanks !! 😊

Definitely! A simple fold that goes well with anything.

My 7-year-old daughter will only let me wear the stairs! We love it. Great video!
That's adorable. Try out the rose one day! May change her mind! 🙂
Very nice tutorial- slow and steady for us newbies

I liked your reverse puff more as it added boldness and also looked classy 🔥🔥

I like the wave fold

The red outline on the pocket square was beautiful. Loved that!
Good taste sir! My personal favorite! 😃
Very helpful.

Thank you!
I have been for the presidential fold, I think I need to try the star fold it looks dope 👌
I've been using the puff fold for years...it always looks great and its really easy to do...
Absolutely! I think every guy should know at least 5 different folds just to change it up once and awhile!
@@theDapperVault Yes...I agree! Using different folds with your pocket squares occasionally can really change up an outfit... :)
That puff fold is sweet 👌
Agree! ☺️
I got a pocket square after watching this! GREAT VID!
Thanks Mr. Fauzan. Your style is already
👌 That pocket square is going to step it up a notch.
Which one to wear with a tux
Presidential for sure!!
Hard disagree on not matching pocket squares and ties. The right match is clean af.
Yeah, these kids are out of their minds. There's nothing wrong with matching squares with ties. At all. It really sets it off
@@tenshunnI agree, now if you have a vest maybe it’ll change.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Really disagree with him matching the pocket square. That's a clean look. Youngsters think they know everything..lol
It depends. Tie and pocket square can either match or be complimentary.
Agreed!!!
Followed - wishing you success
It's people like you that keeps me going! Cheers and have a good day buddy!
Trying to figure out how to get a brand new silk pocket square do do anything lol

@ just meant I’m trying to get it to stay in a shape or lay down lol its literally brand new but finally got it to do the 3 peaks
Great tutorial! Your pocket squares are beautiful. Where do you get them from?
My favourite is the presidential fold
100%! My personal favorite m'self.
Awesome!!love the Contant
Don’t usually pay much attention to accessorising but maybe after this I shld 🤔
Perfect to start accessorizing with pocket square due to the accessibility of it online and how simple it is to wear them! :)
I usually start with the presidential, but after I've used it to sneeze into a few times opt for the puff fold; easier to do on the move! 😂
How do fold such a pocket square? How do I attach a picture?
@happyfeetcollectionsltd4174 You can't attach photos on comments buddy!
Hey dappervault, can this apply to table napkins if you forgot to bring your own cloth? Asking for a friend.
It really depends, if that table napkin is miraculously the size of a pocket square and is a suit color suited for your outfit, I would (but only with simple folds like the classic/presidential).
Puff 💕
last one is nice bro ,,, [[
It is, isn't it? Thanks for tuning in buddy.
Sorted.
You're good, kiddo. I like your tutorial.
What if you wear a mandarin collar?
@JamesBond02119 shouldn't stop you from wearing a pocket square sir!

I don't believe the pocket square and the tie should not match. Looks so good to me!
Hey, it's your call in the end. Just guidelines. Matching pocket squares and tie is just tacky, imho. BUT you do you buddy! 😁
What about when you wear your vest with breast pocket instead of your jacket?
Good question buddy! Traditionally, no! 🙂
wow!, never truly appreciated the pocket square. Can it double as a napkin? hmm..
I think it's possible to use a napkin for the white presidential fold. No harm trying it out, desperate times calls for desperate measures. Just be sure the quality of the napkin is not paper like.
If you are wearing a tux to a formal event, you should match your pocket square to your tie, which should not be patterned.
