20:49 "Who has just one piece of Nazi memorabilia?" LMAO! I never really thought about that

It's not like there's a Nazi store down the street where this stuff is readily available. Unless you're a billionaire, this stuff would probably be very hard to find.

CAROLYN: Jane are you trying to look unattractive?
    JANE: Yes.
    CAROLYN: Congratulations you’ve succeeded admirably.
I quote those lines daily ever since I watched this movie 😂😂😂😂😂

That scene at the wife's dinner party where Kevin Spacey laughs in self-deprecation "I would remember me either hahahaha..." and breaks the 4th wall... do you think that;s how he was considered as the lead role in House of Cards?

"They seem to have the *perfect life"* Good choice for an opening description! See, you did not say, "the perfect marriage!" It helped with what to anticipate in a movie, I've heard about, and never seen☺yet!

part of it costing so much is like a joke, the man is so out of touch he's willing to pay anything for release. lmao

😂Omg! I laughed so hard at the phrase, "An improvised scene in the cheese aisle 🧀!"
I HATED this movie when it came out! I just didn't understand why the critics adored it sooooo much.
I just didn't feel the characters were believable. It had waaaay too many emotional problems, all crammed into one movie to make a point about 🤔... maybe, being really unhappy🙁... and clueless😶... and abusive🫤... and... ?
What a sad way to spend my time.
❤ Loved your review. It reminded me why I never watched this movie again.

"You don't get to tell me what to do ever again." AB and Vanilla Sky really hammered home the option of choice and not to settle for mundane abuse. Sam Mendes revisited this again with Revolutionary Road.

I really like American Beauty a lot but it felt sort of like a small movie, while The Deer Hunter is anything but. Love yas.

I forgot about the gay themes and just remembered this movie was real trashy (to me). That's why I voted for my fave reviewers to talk about it!
