- Join me as we take a look at an assortment of different Death Guard lists in the 500 point range. The hardest thing about Death Guard at 500 points is trying to fit in all of the good options with so few points, but the nice thing is it makes them a rather inexpensive option.

Thanks, and everything is good, just kept getting derailed each time I started work on a video and then had to scrap a couple due to the rules changes. Should be uploading more often now.
Love the lists! I had a thought about the first list... this would be great to run as a Terminus Est Assault Force from the Book of Rust, as you are already in Harbingers and don't have any vehicles. At the minimum, it would give you a free Warlord trait for Typhus that grants +1 attack and turns off Objective Secured for low leadership units without sacrificing anything or changing anything about the list... and also you would have the option to deep strike the plague marines or do some shenanigans with the poxwalkers via stratagems. Just throwing it out there to anyone considering running a list similar to this!
Completely agree! The only reason I didn't put it into Terminus Est is because I wanted it to be a bit simpler and more introductory, and I haven't covered the Terminus Est or Mortarian yet, which I plan to do for the 1k and 2k videos as Terminus Est does put up results and is rather good.
As you said and I feel should be reiterated, you can get poxwalkers (and sometimes typhus) cheap on resellers like eBay. Especially for list 2 grabbing some cheap pox walkers would be a very cheap way to expand it.
I had been buying up pox walkers in the hopes of having a DG army that needed them then snagged one of the battle boxes. Slightly past 500 points, but good to see what I should focus on first for painting to have something useable.
I have a bunch of Death Guard stuff I bought just because I liked their rules, but I'm not sure if I'll ever really get to it as I'm not the biggest fan of the aesthetic. Maybe a Chaos army at some point that's more mixed with Blight Hauler or Plague Burst Support could be an option as those are my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks, and I'm doing well. Keep getting sidetracked every time I start working on a video and being out of the game for a bit makes it harder, but I do hope to return sooner than later once things are a little less busy. You guys in the community are awesome.

Sorry, as a newbie what is a “generic chaos lord”?
No need to apologize. Each sub faction of chaos, such as Death Guard, has units ported over from the overall main chaos faction, such as the Demon Prince or Helbrute and as such you can make them generic enough to fit into different factions whether it be Death Guard, Thousand Sons, or Word Bearers.
The Death Guard have access to a "Death Guard Chaos Lord" which is their version of a Chaos Lord model and functions as a decent enough stand in for an HQ choice when you just need one but don't want to use a more expensive one like the Demon Prince, Lord of Contagion, etc. The Lord is weaker and more of a fill unit, but he is 35 points cheaper than a Lord of Contagion, so sometimes you just need the points to fit in a final unit of Blightlords or something.
@@Techpriest that’s really helpful, so I read a little more and apparently there’s no dedicated model for a dg chaos lord. So I can just spare parts this guy to save some $$?
Yup, that's one of the other benefits of some of the generic stuff. Realistically you can even do it with things that have official models, but it's usually more effort than it's worth.
