It turns out the hardest part of collecting AdMech is finding time to actually paint them, I love how intricate the models are but there’s so many hard to paint books and crannies. As well as the models have lots of little bits that stick out and love to break off
I have just the cure for your addiction, I prescribe you two Ironstriders which will help you off the addiction slowly as there's a little Skitarii on top.
Not exactly, but I did do a video with Command Point about Admech a while back who make pretty good Kill Team content: th-cam.com/video/bvKjxsasen8/w-d-xo.html Currently just waiting until 10th to start making new content.
How long does your store usually take to ship? I’m brand new 40k player here potentially looking to get the starter pack and finally jump into the game and about to have 2 free weeks to paint my heart out.
Orders are normally shipped out within 24 hours of receiving them by UPS. I'm on the East Coast, but can work with you on making sure it gets to you within a certain time period as you'd be one of the early customers because the store just launched. If you also need anything that you don't see on the site, let me know and I can probably order it, but that will take longer.
Unfortunately this is a bit out of date as I haven't had much time to make new content due to running the store and website, but much of it still holds true. The Combat Patrols, even the new one, while not great on the points side of things for Admech are good on the dollar aspect. The new one also offers a variety of mobility units you'll want at some point as they're good for holding objectives. Ironstriders and Skitarii are still solid choices as well. One thing to keep in mind is that Admech is an expensive army as their units tend to be lower in cost so keep that in mind when going into it. Though if you pick up bundle boxes and shop at places such as our website that offers a 15% discount you can really mitigate a good chunk of the cost.
I'm completely new to the game so I know nothing. With the charadon books being worthless now (wish I had known that before I bought one lol) does that mean that I cannot us any "Knight of the Cog" effects to add in knight units? Or how does that work to incorporate them? I realize that it is probably an advanced option I shouldn't be touching but it sounds fun.
Never fun to have a book rotate just as you bought it, but it can still be fun for casual and narrative play. As for Knights, they made them easier to include in more armies overall, and now you can do it using the Battle Brothers ability, which is explained a bit on the GW site here: www.warhammer-community.com/2022/12/22/arks-of-omen-grand-tournament-pack-a-new-detachment-for-the-next-season-of-warhammer-40000/
Knight of the Cog still exists, which is the key word described on page 49 of the regular codex, but Knight of the Iron Cog which is the unique Metalica stratagem would be phased out with the other Warzone Charadon rules.
I haven’t put it on the table yet, but with Cawl’s lowered cost, kataphrons getting core, and their plasma culverins getting cheaper. Cawls probably a decent pick in mars now.
@@danielholladay4796 I do agree that there's probably a list that Cawl could fit into, and it probably involves Destroyers, and if I do see one, I'll be sure to cover it.
@@Techpriest They're much more playable at 85 points than at 100 points, but without obsec, high mobility, or high firepower, their high durability has limited use.
@@thevoxdeus That's all true, but something like Lucius does cure a lot of those issues, and Fist Bots can still bully objectives just due to the output they can produce.

I know the pain, I'm very slow when it comes to painting and while the models are very enjoyable they can be very overwhelming.
I am trying to get into the hobby so thank you, this helped me allot because the Adeptus Mechanicus is my favourite faction to study about
Happy to be of help, and it looks like it will be a fun season with their new updates.
Worst part about collecting admech is thinking you finally got the 2000 points but turns out you still need to get some terrain :(
The life of an Admech player is hard but rewarding.
That’s where the power of friendship comes in. The guy your playing against brings the terrain
Bruh 💀
@@batshit36 I'm actually considering producing some terrain. Just need to get the hang of the equipment for it.
I have 700 points worth of Skitarii. I’m addicted to painting rangers, help!

I have bad eye sight. Will you paint mine too?
Have you got a video like this for running mechanicus in kill team?

Is this for the current codex? Im think of getting into the Ad Mech

Cawl is the worst of all the HQ choices.
The imperium magazine has some good value issues for as mech, necrons and marines
I'm skeptical on Cawl but he might finally have a home in some list with the recent changes.

Kastellan robots are still a bad buy, IMO, which is a shame because they are absolutely gorgeous models.
They've gotten a lot better and are seeing use in more lists than before. They're still not quite as good as Ironstriders, but few things are.
