Emergency brake release cable replacement 2005 GMC Yukon Denali XL

This is the 2nd replacement after the "ball" comes off the end of the cable. I purchased the whole assembly on Amazon for less than $20, versus $37 at dealership.....a part that only lasted 2 years. It's quick and easy if you make the hook with a coat hanger as shown.

If you put the metal ball in sideways first then slide the black cable in. It’s easier and only need one hand
