  • They don't sell them in stores, and I cant even find a picture of it online! I'm not saying it doesn't exist online, but I got two of them for free at the local junk yard. I'm talking about the park brake lever that connects the park brake cable to the adjuster knobs which opens the brake shoe. There are plenty of videos on doing dust covers and boots so this one is a little simpler, mine was missing, and I explain in the video where to get a new one.

Thank you for the video. Best part is showing how the little pill fits in the dip on the lever which
fits through the rubber gasket. Has to be a mechanic's secret. Cheers.

Excellent video presentation. I'm about to adjust the parking brakes on my '05 Chevy Silverado Z71 truck and your video gives me good guidance on handling this job. Thank you very much!

Woah that alot of money for the $1 pic a part level. Not one on-line store sells them, even if you can find the listing which in all the places I’ve checked are not the correct lever for the early 2000s 1500 Silverado Avalanche, suburban and Tahoe. and not the 2500 and above kits the two piece rotating lever is for 2500 and 3500. Actually. The brake kit that comes with the correct lever is listed as the 2003 Trail Blazer

2002 suburban, caliper bracket bolts vibrated out, completely fucked my parking brake assembly

Strange how these levers just float in rubber gasket and uses tension of cable/spring and small metal pill inside. Question - can it loose alignment if it break cable pulls it too much so that i touches wheel assembly? It seems like these types of parking breaks have very specific range of pull and release distance to not come apart inside cylinder or am I wrong?
