My work van was just in the shop; $1,600 later, it's happy now. Of course, I need front breaks soon, and they are going to be $1,200 (3/4 ton van that needs pads, rotors, and calipers). So, it got the entire Y-pipe replaced, which included the catalytic converters, new spark plugs & boots, and 2 coils. We think the plugs were original; 11 years and 180k+ miles. I had a severe loss of power and misfiring cylinders.
It's actually not hooked to anything, those are just the "heads" from what I've been told - the brain boxes were in the trunk and the county didn't leave those in the car.
I just take 2 ice cream buckets filled with warm water, add Dawn to 1 bucket, cut up an old t-shirt wipe things down and wipe them again with the clean water. If your motor isn't super filthy this works pretty good.
Mine is leaking from the power steering fluid reservoir, seems to be puking up. Wonder what the deal with that is. Also using a simple spray bottle with some soapy water, wet shop towels and a bit of elbow grease works just great for cleaning your engine bay. Put some tire shine on all the plastics afterwards and it looks worlds better. I'm all for pushbars, spotlights and stuff but the flashing lights seems a bit too far...
@@azizshavershian2065 Well I'm not sure if my power steering fluid was ever bubbling or acting funny in any sort of way but what I did do was replace the O-Ring seal on the power steering reservoir and now all the fluids are being contained nicely, it's no longer leaking, making a mess and getting drippy fluid all over the fan and shit which is nice. The steering itself seems completely fine otherwise. Don't know lol

Is it possible for that to fail and NOT trip a DTC? I only ask because mine doesn't look like it's leaking but I have no way to test the sensor or circuit.
Easiest n best way to clean the engine......spray it with Scrubbing Bubbles. Bathroom cleaner .....them lightly spray with water Once dry spray with 100% silicone n your dome....don’t use WD 40/
Yeah, I can do that. There's not much in the 9C1 - they took everything out when it was sold at auction, but the Vic looks like it's still in service - they didn't pull much of anything out... just the communications equipment.
Darn, it looks like my 2010 Crown Vic doesn't have a steering pressure switch (at least, I can't find the part online). My steering is heavy, even though the pump appears to be okay. Not sure what's up!

No vending machine, there's a big old piece of furniture in the back corner. As I told Chris, I kind of do want a vending machine now that you all mention it. That traffic was a mess in Mobile. Gang meets in the yard, I guess the Honda's I have around are like like security keep them from fighting. LOL

did you ever figure this out? mine is bubbling from the power steering reservoir and no amount of vacuum bleeding or wheel turning will fix it

That is very true. I lived in Maryland for several year and even with the tiny amount of snow they get, shoveling gets old quick.
