Something that is like crack for Swifties is watching people have their minds blown in the first 10 seconds of something that Taylor does😂🤯 It's amazing for our dark little hearts!
It really is! So many people have put Taylor in a box and think all she ever does is bubblegum pop breakup songs that they've heard on the radio. But once they give her a chance and listen to some of her deep cuts, and maybe even listen to any album since 1989,(wait, there are deep cuts on all of her albums) hear the diversity and how she can basically shapeshift into any genre she wants.
STRONGLY recommend checking out her live performances...especially start with her Reputation Stadium Tour!! Her videos are great but live is on another level!
For her new Eras tour, due to Civid...she wasn't able to do live concerts for her last 3 albums. So she decided to do a marathon concert that runs 3 hours. Her set is 45 songs long, and she performs in the pouring rain so she doesn't disappoint her fans. She sings for real on stage. Her cardio prep is 3 hours each day while singing. She's almost super human.
The light Taylor is her old self, with her first few albums. Dark Taylor is releasing her old safe, and being what she wants to be, not what everyone tells her.
If you listen to this song again, watch and listen to the live Reputation tour version, Intro + Ready for It. This video is great, but the live gives me chills. Literal chills.
Yep! They are! We are all slightly (sometimes vastly) different people once coming through the other side of an adversity, hopefully smarter, wiser and stronger. That’s what took from it.
It’s actually so mind blowing that you got so much of the imagery and the tension in this song. Taylor has so much captivity imagery in her music & has lots of “versions” of herself in her imagery as well. I think this is absolutely a clue that despite how “open” she is in her songs, we actually have no idea what her internal life is like. I could go on and on about this but it’s so exciting to see a reactor finally pick up on it!
In summary - the song was about toughening herself up for a battle while staying true to herself and who she is. It was also exploring her new relationship with Joe Alwyn - a guy who was intensely private and wanted to hide from the media while she had always been very open. “Touch me and you’ll never be alone” is meaning you’ll basically be hounded forever by paparazzi and the like, and her desire to hide on a private island away with him from everyone but knowing it would never work. I especially love the Burton to this Taylor line - referencing Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Fitting considering her and Joe couldn’t make it work either.
I think you'll be surprised at how talented she is. As you'll see she's a brilliant lyrist and paints a visual picture in her videos. At 13 years old she won the National Poets Award.❤ Her live performances in itself are productions like you wouldn't believe or have ever seen. Her live 1989 World Tour from 2012 and her Reputation World Tour from 2018 are both amazing and a must see.❤ Stay safe and enjoy the ride
a suggestion: when you pause to say something, it's always a good idea to go back 10 seconds of the video, so you don't miss any details. I loved your reaction, keep doing it!🖤
Taylor likes to explore music and doesn't stick to just one style. Her music has grown as she's grown, and each album is usually a different tone from the one before. I like it, but most people who don't know her music don't realize that because the songs they hear on the radio are just a small sampling of what she's created.
Taylor has been a musical shape-shifter her whole life. What has stayed consistent is her song-writing, her attention to detail, and her passion for making music, performing, and connecting with her fans. There will be things that don't resonate with you, but she isn't where she is out of luck or happenstance. Her reputation tour performances, Lover Live in Paris, and folklore Long Pond Sessions are some great live recordings to check out.
Hearing you about the two taylors. She became famous at like 17. People still think of her as young girl. She is now a grown up and like all grown women has several sides
Her live performances from the reputation stadium tour are amazing. Are you ready for it, don't blame me ( incredible) and King of my heart are just so good!!
This was your first taste of the fact that for any mood you're in, there is a different genre of music from Taylor. Also, there are no accidents or coincidences in her music, lyrics, or videos: she is a mastermind and it all means something.
The thing about taylors albums is that they all have a whole different feel to it. Midnights (which anti hero was from) is a lot of deep lyrics mixed in a synthy pop vibe. Reputation (this one is from that) is her embracing her ”bad reputation” and at the same time falling in love with someone new so it’s the perfect mix. You should definetly follow this up with I did something bad (preferably the live from the reputation tour) I think you should do a reaction from evermore or folklore too. Those are her pandemic albums (both released in 2020) they have a little more folky vibe. It definetly has her strongest lyrics too. Being the first albums she wrote with made up stories. Some recommendations are -cardigan (folklore) -willow (evermore) These are the main singles. Or -my tears ricochet (folklore long pond studio sessions) -tolorate it (evermore) -no body, no crime (evermore) After those albums there is lots of other stuff too which differ from all this. Loved the reactions and subscribed immediately 🫶
Thanks! And yes, a few folks have told me that I should do the “I Did Something Bad” live version. I’m going to do that next and the folklore longpond sessions! Thanks for sharing your thought and suggestions & thanks for subscribing! 🫶🏾
Oh my God, thank you for understanding that us swifties come from all age groups, and all demographics It is so crazy frustrating for a reactor to have the mindset that her music is solely only for teenage girls or teenage girls or girls in their feelings Thank you for knowing the true facts ❤😂
Such a great reaction!! You being open and taking the time to listen and respond, thoughtfully, shows an intelligence that not everyone has! I think you should react next to I Did Something Bad but you need to react to the live version of The Reputation Tour as well as Don’t Blame Me from the same live tour! They are absolute fire!!!🔥
Thanks so much! & yes, it appears the consensus is to react to “I Did Something Bad” Live from the Reputation tour! I’ll do that one next and I’ll also check out “Don’t Blame Me” from the tour too!
Please watch the Reputation tour live concert. I loved this album and this video but there are songs that look and sound even better LIVE. Excited for you to discover more of TS.
Reputation was the best live concert I have ever been to. I didn’t even know much of her music before a friend brought me to her concert and it was amazing. You have to Watch this on her reputation opener.
I am a new Swiftie at fifty and I love these reactions because last year I felt the same way. This is one of my favorites and Rep. i wish more people would be more open minded and listen to her music. Her lyrics. Watch the documentaries because you don't have to be a fan of her music to appreciate her as the incredible human being she is 🫶🏻
❤ The live performances are usually so much better. Crazy considering how good her videos are! I honestly don't think anyone would mind if you react to both!!!
You should watch All Too Well (10 minute version) official lyric video! The lyrics are so deep it’s definitely worth the watch before you see the short film!
I saw you caught that writing on the wall in the video towards the end, "They're burning all the witches". That line is referenced in the song "I Did Something Bad". Watch that performance. Then react to "Look What You Made Me Do" music video.
Folklore/Evermore are subliminal in terms of writing. Pandemic, sister albums that came out 5 months apart in 2020. Though some of us we have for many years, some people started respecting her craft for writing when these projects came out. Curious to see what you think about it.
You should watch "Ready for it" live from her Reputation tour. Remember after Kanye & Kim did their thing they really devastated her "Reputation" but she flipped it on them when she "did something g bad!"
Based on the comments below, you now have some context for why I suggested a "double-header" approach (a combination of live performance and music video). Obviously, not all songs have both but, when both exist, you would be well-advised to experience both. And, for those who are suggesting lyric videos, I'd agree that those are great for understanding the song, but I'd generally suggest bringing the lyrics up separately so that you can consult them, as needed. What you certainly DON'T want to do is watch a lyric video instead of seeing a live performance and/or music video. The top priority should always be live performance and/or music video, when possible. (Also beware of fan-made "live" videos that mix different performances. Those are generally not a good substitute for the standard live performance videos.)
Check out the video for “End Game” featuring Ed Sheeran and Future. Also, please react to the lyric video for All Too Well 10-Minute Version. The short film of that is good too, but I recommend watching the lyric video first.
Taylor’s albums or Eras all have a different sound. Sometimes her videos go with the lyrics sometimes it doesn’t. This video doesn’t match the lyrics, which is really a love song about meeting Joe and starting dating. Like most people said, you should follow up with I did something bad LIVE, and don’t blame me Live Reputation Stadium Tour and follow it up with the Eras Tour Film version. It’s with watching both, the Eras is shorter but better quality, and it’s of course recent.
"He can be my jailor, Burton to this Taylor"...research that anology!...who does that!!😂...awesome!... P.S.-Hint: Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor relationship.

Just like everybody else said listen to Taylor Swift end game with future and Ed Sheeran she wraps she's rapping in the song you listen to her now if you listen to her cedar rapids most of the song dude
I was literally just scrolling for a video of a court case I follow and somehow stumbled upon this reaction and now I am subscribed!! ❤ Love this reaction! Instant fan! My two favorite female artists are Taylor and Kelly Clarkso. Sadly, they are both automatically put into a box and most people just pass over them because they believe they know all that they are capable of. Which is usually something like "she's just a pop artists, nothing special." And they couldn't be more wrong! If people would just take the time to listen to their music beyond the singles on the radio they'd see how incredibly talented and versatile they truly are!
Thank you! I've always respected Taylor for her accomplishments, but after really diving into the music, she's truly a marvel. & Kelly Clarkson has always been an absolute powerhouse! I've always loved her, not only as an artist but as a human!
Haha, we do the hand heart 🫶 lmao, its a swiftie thing im glad youre getting into her music, I love blind reacts - and please dont hesitate to critique something that doesnt vibe with you, we live for honest reactions and that'll just make the praise mean more :) dont let the negative comments (if any) get you down and hope you find some good music to add to your playlists! shes got a lot of albums in different sounds, so im hopeful lmao
The song "I Did something Bad" is where you'll hear "their burning all the witches" the live performance at the awards showth-cam.com/video/uQS1GWJHJ-Y/w-d-xo.html

Beautiful comment and so true!❤❤❤😂
Hehe it does warm up our dark little hearts !
Truth!
STRONGLY recommend checking out her live performances...especially start with her Reputation Stadium Tour!! Her videos are great but live is on another level!
I'll check them out!
@@biggmerkreactions put that reaction up. It will not feel redundant to many of us because Taylor live is so good and full of energy.
@@biggmerkreactionsDefinitely watch the Era's Tour also. It's a few songs from all 10 albums. All VERY different from one another.
For her new Eras tour, due to Civid...she wasn't able to do live concerts for her last 3 albums. So she decided to do a marathon concert that runs 3 hours. @@sukioki6983I agree w the Era Tour!!
Speaking of "burning all the witches..." , check out her "I did something bad" 😉😗
Yes
Specifically, the live version from the Reputation tour.
I also thought of this performance when he said that, 😂!
I wish non swifties would listen with lyrics the first time
The light Taylor is her old self, with her first few albums. Dark Taylor is releasing her old safe, and being what she wants to be, not what everyone tells her.

Oooo I’ll definitely have to watch!
Yes to this!
Yessss! Live versions of all her music.
The ideas around rebirth and creating a stronger version of yourself are really interesting in this, the person that emerges after adversity
Yep! They are! We are all slightly (sometimes vastly) different people once coming through the other side of an adversity, hopefully smarter, wiser and stronger. That’s what took from it.
T. Swift Live..that is what will blow you away. Have fun and welcome to the party!
Everyone is saying check out some of the live versions! Definitely will! & thanks! 🫶🏾
If you wanna really enjoy Taylor’s songs…start from listening to them while driving. They are fire with loud car speakers blasting.🔥🔥😍

It's all in the details! I learned that about her early, so I try to keep an eye on the big picture and all of the small deets too!
In summary - the song was about toughening herself up for a battle while staying true to herself and who she is. Why not get a head start! You have time!
Reputation Stadium Tour! Watch the intro before the song. It will make more sense.
Ps. Loved your reaction. ❤
Yes Intro + Ready For It live is the way to go

Hi! I’m a new Swiftie at 60! Became obsessed over the summer last year during Eras. Now I neeeeeed tickets!
Humor does it for me every damn time. Without humor I would not survive.
All board…… I’m in.
Let’s go.
Yes! The humor is so good and well placed! Letssss gooo!!!
❤ The live performances are usually so much better. Crazy considering how good her videos are! I honestly don't think anyone would mind if you react to both!!!
You know, I think that’s exactly what I might do for the next couple!
This song live form the Reputation is amazing too- check it out! Great reaction
I will I really like this song. & thank you!
Thanks for the great reactions! So much fun to watch!
Ooohh loved your review! Hey, you should hear King of My Heart, it's from the Reputation album as well. Also peace from the Folklore album! So good.
Dang I was hoping this was the live version. 🖤🖤
You have to react to the live version of this as well. Yu will see how great of a performer she is!!
Listen to End Game!! Also check out Taylor Live, she is 100000x better live than in video/recorded
You’ve gotta check out her eras tour performance of Don’t Blame Me & it’s transition into Look What You Made Me Do, it’s soooo good
This song is bad ass in reputation stadium tour, highly recommend. I like it better musically and visual
I'm really enjoying your insightful reactions, thank you 😊
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying them! 🫶🏾
Looking forward to Taylor reactions!
To get to know her please react to documentary Miss Americana

This is best live from Rep Tour with the INTRO. Check that out. 10 times better live.
please do "I did something bad" live from reputation tour!!

That was fun. 😅
It certainly was for me! Lol
THE IRONY
You really need to do her live stuff it's much better watching her live. 1989 tour live rock version of "Never ever getting back together" is killer.
Have u seen the video of the live show of this song???? 10 times better, believe it or not..
AMAZING
No, not yet, but I'm watching it tomorrow night on a flight!
Live version will blow ur mind
You should watch All Too Well (10 minute version) official lyric video! The lyrics are so deep it’s definitely worth the watch before you see the short film!
For best experience: Read lyrics when listening to songs for 1st time. And then watch her live performances
I saw you caught that writing on the wall in the video towards the end, "They're burning all the witches". That line is referenced in the song "I Did Something Bad". Watch that performance. Then react to "Look What You Made Me Do" music video.

Ok cool. Thanks for that insight/context! I’ll listen and share thoughts!

As a swiftie…… poc at that. She got hits. She will surprise yu. Need Recs let me know. I got yu.
You should check out end game
PLEASE do Vigilante Sh!t but the performance from the eras tour!!
Great Reaction! If you want to see her lyricist side I would check out “All Too Well” (10 minute version) (Taylor’s Version)
I recommend BAD BLOOD!❤
React to this live! 🤯
Nearly every song from Reputation album is good. Need to watch some of the songs from the tour…amazing IMO.
Based on the comments below, you now have some context for why I suggested a "double-header" approach (a combination of live performance and music video). Obviously, not all songs have both but, when both exist, you would be well-advised to experience both.

The top priority should always be live performance and/or music video, when possible. (Also beware of fan-made "live" videos that mix different performances. Ok! Good to know. I’m going to have the lyrics up for the next videos as I watch the actual videos/performances.
❤❤❤❤
Do intro + ready for it next, and bad blood with kendrick if you enjoy cool videos
👏👏👏👏👏
Check out the video for “End Game” featuring Ed Sheeran and Future. Also, please react to the lyric video for All Too Well 10-Minute Version. The short film of that is good too, but I recommend watching the lyric video first.

"He can be my jailor, Burton to this Taylor"...research that anology!...who does that!!😂...awesome!...

Check out Bad Blood ft. Kendrick Lamar!
