VSX headphones by Steven Slate Audio come with reference rooms, so you don't have to listen to your track in a car! Also, another pro with mixing on headphones is that most people listen to music on headphones these days.

Talk about hyperbole... "PRO QUALITY MIXES USING ANY SHITTY GARBAGE CANS"
    Sure bro..
Firstly, the cans correction software is brilliant, it's not a waste of money.
The reason all these companies exist selling 10K-20K flat response monitors is because pros need them to hear what the hell they're doing.
If you can't hear it - you can't mix it.
#1 thing, after frequency response missing from low quality gear is transients.
#2 thing is sound stage and width...
The flattest response, the better - yes, reference tracks.. But no, don't even think you're going to come close to getting a great mix with shortcuts.
After 20 years of EXPERIENCE, I could probably mix a track on terrible speakers and headphones - but that's because I know what it's supposed to sound like because I've practiced so much on my treated room with flat monitors.
You will drive yourself INSANE chasing your tail using low quality gear.. thing is - you can match it all you want to a reference, it could sound identical and great on the headphones, soon as you take it somewhere else to listen, the mix falls apart completely. Then what? How do you fix that? If you can't hear where the problem is, you can't fix it. Simple as that.
