That's when the butterfly crosses his face. In the next cut, we see Jaehyun covering the photo of the deceased and coming out, meeting Inguk, getting his phone number and staying in touch. We understood this much. Later in the workplace scene, we can see that Jaehyun shows his empty hand to Inguk, meaning, he told him that he is divorced. Then we see them two drinking and walking in the tunnel under the train. That's when Inguk decides to be bold and finally confesses his feelings. He hugs him and waits for Jaehyun to hug him (symbiotically asking him to like him back) which he doesn't. That is it. The actual story ends there. Inguk dies after that incident with Jaehyun under the train in the tunnel. later, When Jaehyun attends Inguk's funeral, he is filled with regret and imagines changing how he behaved towards Inguk when he was still alive. Inguk is no more but Jaehyun still wonders that had he not asked Inguk's number and stayed in touch with him, the tunnel scene and Inguk's death wouldn't have happened. The broken watch that Inguk was wearing says a lot about him being already dead and his soul just lingering around cuz we can see that his time ends at 12 on the watch. Jaehyun mends it and keeps it with him as an item of remembrance and thus, there's 24 shown, which means he's still living in deep regret. The year of the MV release also lines up, the date on Seo In Guks watch is 12 referring to 2012 and the date on Ahn JaeHyuns watch is 24 referring to 2024
My argument as to why this MV is a TIME TRAVELLING story. Two funerals: 0:51 The funeral Ahn attended here is not the same as the funeral shown at 0:00 and 1:12 - the 0:51 funeral is Seo’s funeral in the present, the same funeral in 5:13. The funeral where we see Seo and Ahn interact at 0:00 and 5:38 is another funeral, both are alive at both times. The Watch: 0:00 Seo’s watch is broken and froze at 10.11 symbolizing their first MV (Seo’s POV) while at 5:32 Ahn’s watch (given by Seo, it was Seo’s watch) shows 6.20 symbolizing this MV (Ahn’s POV) - the watch is ticking but Ahn STOPS IT and at 5:26 we see him again in the tunnel, without Seo. If we consider this MV is produced by Starship’s team which does a similar storyline about time-travelling in Monsta X’s The Connect album and Kiss or Death, you will see that watches are used as a time-travelling device. And as seen in Dramarama, STOPPING the ticking is how they travel back. And in Dramarama it also shows that a broken watch means they can no longer time-travel (aka Seo’s broken watch at 0:00). They focused too much on the watch, the ticking, and stopping the ticking - it is a little suspicious. The Train: 4:02 the ringing is heard and at 4:07 we see the train going to the RIGHT. At 5:28 the ringing and the ticking is heard, and the train at 5:33 can be seen going to the LEFT. In Monsta X’s Destroyer and Kiss and Death, train carries time travelers and seem to symbolize the flow of time - so if the theory that Starship indeed use Monsta X’s time travel universe in this MV, we can argue that train going to the right means time is moving forward while train going to the left means time moves backwards, aka Ahn time travel back to the past. And the tunnel can be some sort of time warp tunnel, because at 3:55 Seo seems anxious in the tunnel, like he knows the time is almost up. At 4:48 Seo is breathing frantically and looks very scared, and at 4:58 when he turns back after Ahn yells, he is so desperate to go to Ahn one very last time, but time is up. 5:08 Ahn sees Seo’s time warp effect right in front of his eyes. That’s how he knows about the time travelling thing. Teaser vs MV We thought the near kiss in the teaser is not included because of censorship, but looking closer some details in the teaser is slightly different in the MV Teaser: Seo writing and lying on the floor MV: Seo lying on the table Teaser: Seo at the office looking at Ahn with his face on his palm open Mv: Seo at the office looking at Ahn with his face on his palm curled Teaser: Seo nearly kiss Ahn MV: Seo just watch Ahn and doesn’t do anything It may be nothing, but in a time travel story every “petty” detail may suggest a different timeline. Ahn’s Blackberry vs Seo’s Iphone: They are shown too obviously - if Seo at 2:22 is just Ahn’s imagination, why is he holding an iphone? Since Ahn’s a Blackberry suggesting this period is circa 2007-2009, Ahn definitely should’ve imagined Seo holding a smartphone fitting that time period. An obviously modern iphone indicates that Seo is from a different, future timeline. CONCLUSION: 6:13 the Seo shown here is alive, Ahn goes back in time and decide not to interact with Seo at 5:48. Seo is alive by the very end of this MV. But they are still separated.
I feel like there's two explanations. One, AJH is aware of Seo in guk's feelings but wasn't sure of himself, about how he felt. After that happened he was sure that he too, liked him. Second, he is aware of his own feelings but wasn't brave enough to acknowledge it or was in denial, and so he regretted. The song and mv is good. Like a short bl story in two parts
At first I thought it was Jaehyun's wife's funeral. But the first sentence in the song Said that Seo In Guk left him again. It means that in the past 12 years He had always loved Seo Gin Guk. he love him and couldn't accept the truth at that funeral. So he imagined that Seo In Guk was always at his side. The workplace scene was actually Seo In Guk in Jae Hyun's imagination. In the teaser scene, Seo In Guk will kisses him while he sleeps. But in the MV, Jaehyun opened his eyes and there was no Seo In Guk in front of him. Because he imagines

I hate this so I’m pretending that’s not the real ending lol I’m thinking since Inguk is a writer in the mv, he’s just writing a novel loosely based on his life. He killed his character because it felt like he died when Jaehyun got married. They never actually reunited but when his book finally got published Jaehyun bought a copy. As he was reading it he noticed the similarities of it to their lives. He finally understood that Inguk was in love with him all those years ago, and now knows why he distanced himself from him after he got married. He wants to confront Inguk but he doesn’t even have his number anymore. Then one day he found out that Inguk is having a book signing so he decides to go. Inguk was surprised to see him, but still reluctantly gave in when Jaehyun asked him out for drinks. They catch up and reminisced about the past. Inguk finds out Jaehyun has been divorced for a while now. After getting drunk Jaehyun finally asked if the book was about them. Inguk pretends it was not, Jaehyun knows he’s lying. When they’re about to part at the end of the night. Jaehyun tells Inguk “you should’ve told me” Inguk says “it wouldn’t have mattered” then walks away. Before he could go any further, Jaehyun grabs his arm and pulls him into a hug. “Yes it would have” he says then he kisses Inguk. The End….lmao that ran away from me, maybe I should dust off my old ao3 account and write this fanfic 😂

사실 안재현이 먼저 죽었던 거고 시계로 타임리프하는 서인국이 안재현 살리고 자기가 대신 죽은 거임. 그래서 안재현 폰이 옛날 폰이었던 거고 서인국이 안재현한테 시계 넘기고 대신 떠나기 전에 처음이자 마지막으로 한번만 안아봐도 되냐고 고백한거. 그리고 서인국이 죽고 나서 모든 사실을 알게 된 안재현도 서인국 살리려고 타임리프를 하는 거고. 마지막 보고싶었어도 살린 직후에 하는 말 같음.

My argument as to why this MV is a TIME TRAVELLING story.
Two funerals:
0:51 The funeral Ahn attended here is not the same as the funeral shown at 0:00 and 1:12 - the 0:51 funeral is Seo’s funeral in the present, the same funeral in 5:13. The funeral where we see Seo and Ahn interact at 0:00 and 5:38 is another funeral, both are alive at both times.
The Watch:
0:00 Seo’s watch is broken and froze at 10.11 symbolizing their first MV (Seo’s POV) while at 5:32 Ahn’s watch (given by Seo, it was Seo’s watch) shows 6.20 symbolizing this MV (Ahn’s POV) - the watch is ticking but Ahn STOPS IT and at 5:26 we see him again in the tunnel, without Seo. If we consider this MV is produced by Starship’s team which does a similar storyline about time-travelling in Monsta X’s The Connect album and Kiss or Death, you will see that watches are used as a time-travelling device. And as seen in Dramarama, STOPPING the ticking is how they travel back. And in Dramarama it also shows that a broken watch means they can no longer time-travel (aka Seo’s broken watch at 0:00).
They focused too much on the watch, the ticking, and stopping the ticking - it is a little suspicious.
The Train:
4:02 the ringing is heard and at 4:07 we see the train going to the RIGHT. At 5:28 the ringing and the ticking is heard, and the train at 5:33 can be seen going to the LEFT. In Monsta X’s Destroyer and Kiss and Death, train carries time travelers and seem to symbolize the flow of time - so if the theory that Starship indeed use Monsta X’s time travel universe in this MV, we can argue that train going to the right means time is moving forward while train going to the left means time moves backwards, aka Ahn time travel back to the past. And the tunnel can be some sort of time warp tunnel, because at 3:55 Seo seems anxious in the tunnel, like he knows the time is almost up. At 4:48 Seo is breathing frantically and looks very scared, and at 4:58 when he turns back after Ahn yells, he is so desperate to go to Ahn one very last time, but time is up.
5:08 Ahn sees Seo’s time warp effect right in front of his eyes. That’s how he knows about the time travelling thing.
Teaser vs MV
We thought the near kiss in the teaser is not included because of censorship, but looking closer some details in the teaser is slightly different in the MV

Teaser: Seo at the office looking at Ahn with his face on his palm open
Mv: Seo at the office looking at Ahn with his face on his palm curled
Teaser: Seo nearly kiss Ahn
MV: Seo just watch Ahn and doesn’t do anything
It may be nothing, but in a time travel story every “petty” detail may suggest a different timeline.
Ahn’s Blackberry vs Seo’s Iphone:
They are shown too obviously - if Seo at 2:22 is just Ahn’s imagination, why is he holding an iphone? Since Ahn’s a Blackberry suggesting this period is circa 2007-2009, Ahn definitely should’ve imagined Seo holding a smartphone fitting that time period. An obviously modern iphone indicates that Seo is from a different, future timeline.
CONCLUSION: 6:13 the Seo shown here is alive, Ahn goes back in time and decide not to interact with Seo at 5:48. Seo is alive by the very end of this MV. But they are still separated.

I hate this so I’m pretending that’s not the real ending lol I’m thinking since Inguk is a writer in the mv, he’s just writing a novel loosely based on his life. He killed his character because it felt like he died when Jaehyun got married. They never actually reunited but when his book finally got published Jaehyun bought a copy. As he was reading it he noticed the similarities of it to their lives. He finally understood that Inguk was in love with him all those years ago, and now knows why he distanced himself from him after he got married.
He wants to confront Inguk but he doesn’t even have his number anymore. Then one day he found out that Inguk is having a book signing so he decides to go. Inguk was surprised to see him, but still reluctantly gave in when Jaehyun asked him out for drinks. They catch up and reminisced about the past. Inguk finds out Jaehyun has been divorced for a while now. After getting drunk Jaehyun finally asked if the book was about them. Inguk pretends it was not, Jaehyun knows he’s lying.
When they’re about to part at the end of the night. Jaehyun tells Inguk “you should’ve told me” Inguk says “it wouldn’t have mattered” then walks away. Before he could go any further, Jaehyun grabs his arm and pulls him into a hug. “Yes it would have” he says then he kisses Inguk.
