Iv lowered the gain to -18 on all my tracks but they aren’t very loud? Should I maybe higher them to -10? But would this make the overall output too loud for mastering? Cheers

In fact you can harmonize any western song with just the I, IV, V (or minor version for minor key) and from a music theory/harmony perspective it will work. The other chord options, extensions, etc are just for added flavor.
