The flooring on the basement under the carpet was concrete. They wanted us to find a way to replace a concrete floor holdin up a house within 3 days, without any tools. We put something over the concrete to make it look better instead and they tried to keep us from buying the house because there was some dust on the floor after that.

One of the multi-million dollar buildings at my old job had a six foot gap in it. They started building at both ends simultaneously and when they used the "correct" amount of materials to meet, there was a six foot gap right in the center. We're talking structural I-beam columns, windows, and everything, stopped six feet apart. They effectively put an eight foot piece of rubber all the way around the outside of the building , sealed it, and called it good. They make high-voltage electric car batteries in that building today
