Word to the wise! Pan for gold when it's WARM outside. We went on a fall day and it was cold. That water was like ice.we had so much fun that day. Thanks again! God Bless you both.
I love it. Passed that place so many time but have never stopped myself. Time for another trip to Cherokee. That place has been there forever!! Lol. Love the Cherokee videos. My parents always took us kids there. And iv e taken my kids and grandkids. I'm like a kid myself when I get over there. Sad the chief passed away a while back. You could go to the museum and talk to him. He was one of few fluent in the Cherokee language.
I love these videos of Cherokee. We went every summer when I was growing up. I remember we'd get so excited when we'd come up on the whitewater rafting cause that meant we were getting close to our motel. Now my parents take all their grandkids with them when they go. This makes me wish I was a kid again!!
My brother and i used to dance with the Cherokee Indians and play those tomahawks that you were talking about back in the late 80's early 90's i want to say. Good times!
Thank you for another great video! Cherokee is beautiful! We go there a few times a year and always have a great time. My son really enjoys looking at the tanks at the Veterans Park. We were there late April and one night, it was cold and dreary and snow flurries were falling!!! So pretty
I used to work with a lady that went to Cherokee and panned for gold and got some beautiful gemstones. She took them to a jeweler and had some beautiful rings made.
At a Gem Mine place in Pigeon Forge many moons ago an employee there told us the dirt actually comes from an area in Franklin, NC known to be plentiful with gemstones. It’s a lot of fun. Those were very nice Amethyst and Garnet Dawn got. Thank you for the fun video!
I went to Cherokee, N.C years ago in the 1960's. There was a amusement park called "Ghost town in the Sky". There's a sky lift to take you up a hill, where there was rides, and a western town. There was also real Cherokee Indians who were dressed in there native costumes and did there Indian dance. That was very exciting to watch 50 years ago. I'm sorry but it doesn't exist anymore 😔 .
Your work in the mountains and surrounding areas is great. Don't ever stop. It helps keep memories alive. I'm 65 and have spent mo st of my life coming to and loving the mountains. Even though I have my own pictures and videos, yours sometimes make me feel like I'm in my childhood again. You like a lot of things I liked growing up. 😊
Fun to see you pan for gold. Never been to a place like that. Wow raining hard! We ate lunch in Cherokee one time but don’t remember the name of it. Thanks for the tour 😊🐻
Love Cherokee and those old school fair rides. We used to have the gravatron ride at our fair when I was a teenager. Also I've never seen a black duck before.👍👍👍👍
Will I love Cherokee so much. I remenber it back in the 70's and 80's. Have you ever been to a Pow Wow or video taped It? I would love to go and watch it..
You just took me back when I was 8 years old or younger. We always got one of those head dresses and tomahawk 🤣 I’m sure it’s changed since then. Thanks for the memories. ❤️
I like that area. It's sad most of everything there is made in China. We love that southern charm store. Unto these hills is a great show about the history.
You have to stop by and get some fudge from Mr Thomas at Country Maid Fudge. It's across the street from the fort in the middle of town. He has the best fudge. Also if you like apples and almost anything you can make from them. Barber's Orchard on Old Balsam Rd is great.
Question for you? Do you remember the games over by the chair lift? They had a chicken who played tic tac too with you for a quarter! A duck play a drum. Hen pecked a piano. And a rabbit. I forgot what it did! We ran our dad out of quarters! Lol just wanted to shate.
I recently discovered your videos since I'm researching for our upcoming trip to the Smokies. You have been a big help! Things have really changed since our last visit several years ago.
Thanks Guy's for vid is there still pizza inn next door to the water play area me and my wife let the kid's play there for hour's free lol and they love it I have turned in to my old man lol

"Unto These Hills " is a great outdoor drama for the history of the Cherokee and early settlers in the Smoky Mountain area. Thanks for taking time to make and post these videos.
My family and I was in cherokee on monday and I saw you two at the plaza!! I didnt get to say Hi because our little one was playing in the water of that little pool splash area! It was really cool to see you and dawn from afar!
It's unbelievable the nostalgia I get from watching these videos. From as far back as I can remember up to about when I was 17 my family spent at least 2 weekends a month and a week vacation in Cherokee or Maggie Valley. I've been back a couple times on my on and I'm taking a friend this year that's never been. I know it's different than years ago but a lot is still the same. I subscribed to your channel because ya'll are doing things we plan on doing. I'm so excited

Mother nature doing her thing? That I don't need to tell my husband about the weather all the time? Lol. He told me if I want to know about the weather ? Just look outside? It will tell u what the weather will be like? Lol😃😃😃😃.
We roll in on July 5th. We camp out Big Cove Road. Have you been out to Mingo Falls? We camp at Yogi. Also a good video would be going to the look off point where everyone goes to watch the sun set. Sometimes you see tons of photographers here. It’s amazing.
