I don't know how I missed this video last week....but I'm glad I came back and watched it. It's been several years since we've crossed the mountain to Cherokee and Maggie Valley. I never knew that garden was back there behind the Mountaineer Crafts....it's beautiful! The fall colors always seem to be more vibrant on the North Carolina side for some reason. Looks like you guys had a great day! 👍
*The pink motel is where my momma and daddy spent their honeymoon 56 years ago! ❤❤
*I was also like you, we went to the mountains for two weeks every summer. We stayed at Owl’s Campground which was across the creek from Frontier Land. As you know, Will, that is where the casino is now. I still LOVE the mountains! 😊
*The flowers you loved in Maggie Valley are called Dahlias. Those are my favorite flower. 💮
*We have pictures of me at Ghost Town in the Sky as a little kids but I don’t remember being there. They say we went every year for a while.
Thank 🦃 you for sharing your memories 😃👍
Beautiful color🍂🍁🧡 Alot of childhood memories here with the family 🥰 Thanks for sharing 🤗
Soo wonderful to see you guys enjoying the Mts again. No matter where they are. Enjoy them so much more than just a restaurant review. That's just me. Here in Townsend celebrating our 49th anniversary ❤️ ♥️
Happy anniversary forty nine years congratulations
The casino hotel is beautiful also
You all are so blessed to be able to do all you do and live by Smoky Mtns ❤️ to see all that everyday. Oh my ❤️
This brings back happy memories for me with my brother and momma. Leaves are beautiful thanks y’all for letting us tag along 👍👍👍👍
Why did yall not go to Oconaluftee Visitor Center and show the Elk? We were there last Sunday & they were spectacular
Truly beautiful. Thank you
I love this side of the smokies. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are like the Las Vegas of the south.
Oh I like this place! Great video.!
Do you remember when the Indians would dance? When Ghost Town was open we always went there to watch the gun fights. We always got an Indian doll and the boys got those pop guns. So many memories .
What a amazing place. Looks beautiful. Want to go there .
Love the video. Colors are beautiful. Thank you for taking us along. My family and I went several times to ghost town. Remember the roller coaster and the shoot out on town they performed.

I've drove through Cherokee but haven't really stopped except to grab a bite. Would love to drive through there now and enjoy the fall leaves. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Everything looks great! Glad you all get to enjoy the pretty fall colors. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride! I’m about to lose my job for the third time in a year and y’all’s videos are such a sweet little escape into the smokies!
I've been to Ghost Town. It was in the late 60"s. I was about 10 to 12 years old. Dad and mom would come to the smokies every year. Pigeon Forge wasn't in operation then. It was all Gatlinburg and into the mountains, into Cherokee and out to Maggie Valley for the Ghost Town day of fun. Then headed back to Gatlinburg to our Hotel, being wore out but, loved it.
Thank you so much for sharing your memories 😃❤️👍
So much has changed in Cherokee. So many great memories. We went there last week and saw the elk. So cool
So cool!
Maggie reminds me of the Hollie Hobby doll from the mid 70’s.
Your right it does look like Hollie Hobby
Good video guy's ❤
Thank you 😁
Great video guys!
Will, I remember the chief and the dancing braves. I’ve got pictures of myself, my husband, my son at around 5, and my daughter around w3 1/2 with the chief. My son is now almost 51 and daughter noe 48. Precious Memories for sure!

I also have the same photos.from 40 years ago.
Thank 🍂 you for sharing your memories 🍂 😊
Your channel is the best for anyone to see the real Tennessee area. I am a seasonal summer here and Florida in the winter months retireee. Great videos
My family used to go to Ghost Town In The Sky and it was a lot of fun. With the gun fights, the can can girls and bank robberies they kept us entertained. We would always go in the saloon and get some cokes and watch the saloon girls and cowboys. Once when we were there Ed "Cookie" Byrnes was there in the saloon dressed as a cowboy. He was an actor on a western and the tv show 77 Sunst Strip and he was there to draw the public in. Lots of great fun with my family and friends who were with us. Thanks for going there. You brought back lots of great memories. I hate that it closed years ago.
Thank 🍂 you for sharing your memories 🍂 😊 ❤️
My wife and I were there in the Smokies, spent a week there ! Went all through Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, Cherokee and Maggie valley the last week of October last year!! I love it down there and you all sure make us want to go again!!! It’s my favorite place!! Another great video!!
Beautiful Maggie Valley ❤️ I love the Wheels Back in Time Museum!! My hubs is the motorcycle enthusiast, me not so much, but that
museum is amazing. I highly recommend going
Never been to Cherokee or Maggie Valley. Thanks for taking us along.
Any time!
I love Cherokee ❤️ have fun
I am 55. I rode on the ghost town train when I was 8. I remember the wild west show in the street and the picture with the saloon girls. We still have those pics.
I was fortunate enough to get to go to ghost town as a child. It was a fun experience.
Thank 🍂 you for sharing your memories 🍂
Live your videos. I was just in the Smoky Mountains last week. I am missing the mountains
We took our kids to ghost town when the were small- a long time ago. It was a lot of fun, rides, train ride with bandits and a gunfight in the street. And the chorus line in the saloon was fun
Chief Henry was his name when I was a kid, I’m 64 years old and I remember taking many pictures with him. I don’t know if it’s the same Chief you saw when you were a kid. I was told in 1999 he had passed away. When I was a kid they Indians were all over Cherokee performing Indian dances and out there talking to the visitors. One of them had a caged bear named “Sue.”Now we rarely see them.
Ok, so I just heard you say in your video that they’re still out there doing their dances. I guess we always miss them. 🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing with us
I enjoyed this video so very much, I love that I can see the fall colors through you all.Thank you Will and Dawn...God bless
Always took picture with the Indian . Beautiful place
Enjoy your travels so much ❤
Thank you! 😃
The flowers along the river the creek behind mountaineer crafts are Dahlias!! I visit from Florida every year at this time. I too take photos of the dahlias in the back.
Great place for breakfast in Maggie is Joey's pancake house. Fyi
As always beautiful thanks for sharing guys. Really enjoy riding along with y'all.
Love it!❤
Perfect video Dawn and Will.
Thank 🍂 you
@@yankeeinthesouth You both are welcome.
That is so beautiful we got to go thru Maggie valley once from South Carolina back to Oklahoma
❤❤❤❤❤
My parents honeymooned in Maggie Valley in the 50’s and went to Ghost Town in the Sky. It was cool to see the train they rode on and often mentioned when talking about those days. They stayed at The Rocky Waters Motel and joked that it foreshadowed how their marriage would go, LOL! The motel was still open last year, but I believe it has been renamed. Thank you for the tour.❤
Thank 🍂 you for sharing your memories 🍂
One of these summers you should take 276 through Waynesville and go on down to Sliding Rock and ride the waterfall. Even if you don’t want to try that, (It’s fun!), you can go on to Looking Glass Falls which are beautiful. You can also see Looking Glass Rock in that area from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We were at Looking Glass Falls today. Absolutely beautiful!!!
Another beautifully shot video, really enjoyed it. Love Maggie Valley too, such a pretty area. 🍂😊🍁
❤️❤️
Love their peach cider there also.
Always love Cherokee town. ❤
Oh saw Dawn behind beautiful purple Jeep 💜

Great video Will and Dawn!!!❤️
Thanks so much for showing ghost town! Loved seeing cherokee and Maggie valley! Thank you both!
very nice view 😊
Thanks for this we have a trip coming up. Again your choice of music was just right. Thanks
Great video! You are so right Will, nothing much changes in Cherokee! I remember fondly shopping there! Way back when they had real bears stuffed outside. They said they were rogue bears.
So true!
Great video will and dawn 👍 keep you the good work 😊
Thank you 😁
Lots of memories there in Cherokee, we stayed at the Pink Motel a lot back in the 70s and 80s, it was my moms favorite motel. I love when you all go to Cherokee and Maggie Valley 💕
My older brothers told me we went to ghost town in 1959 when i was 2 years. Old, i guess i was. Too young to remember. When years later i went to visit and was sad. It was closed down and sold. To a developer. Thats stinks.😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙
We were in Brevard, Cashiers, and the Highlands area today and the colors were popping there as well.
One thing that I like about Maggie Valley is the absence of chain stores and restaurants. It is kind of refreshing when compared to some of the other locations. I want to get back there and go through the Wheels through Time Museum.
Thanks for your 📸 s and thanks for positive for me sometimes I think no one cares about me 😊
No problem 😊
Thanks 😊🤗
We were in Maggie several years ago and ate at J Arthur's and it was very good. Some of my favorite videos are of the small towns around the Smokies. Will, I really appreciate your videography and your choice of music. Really makes us want to come back.
We were just in Maggie Valley last weekend, we stopped and went to Santa Land. The colors in Maggie Valley were definitely more prominent than in Pigeon Forge when we were there. So beautiful.
It was Chief Henry, wasn't it? I have so many pictures and precious memories of Cherokee and Maggie Valley! Thanks for the great video!
😊👍
As a child our vacation would be a trip to Gatlinburg. Then to Rebel Railroad or Goldrush Junction. We would go to Cherokee then to Ghost Town in Maggie Valley. We would also go thru GSM to look for bears . We ( my wife and I) still come every summer but now its Dollywood and to look for bears.
Thank 🍂 you for sharing your memories 😊
we went chrokee twice in the summer the pink motel was never opened
I had my picture made with the chief back in the day 😊
I sing the same song Will when crossing over the mountain.
Y’all are looking great! Congratulations on your health journey success 🎉 very happy for yall
Love the music, makes me want to be at Dollywood
Would love for you to stay in pink motel. Stayed there as a kid some 40 years ago. Remember the pink velour bedding and the river ran behind it. it had a balcony you could watch it. I also remember it had big black ants everywhere.
Good times!!!
.

When we go to Maggie Valley. We go to see the elk.
> I love your videos. Beautiful colors. I love TN. Thank you for taking us with you. Colleen from Cincinnati
Thank you so much!
The bear and the fox story has something to do with the bear used to have a big fluffy tail like the fox but i can't remember the specifics. But obviously, the bear lost his tail.
Thank 🍂 you for sharing 🍂
We had stopped at the information center and there was a herd of elk there it was real pretty to see them there on the lawn 😊
Butts On The Creek in Maggie Valley is a very good place to eat!
My sister an I stayed at the pink motel years ago an it was a lot of fun

Thanks for sharing your memories 🍂 😊 🙂
I rode the incline to top and there was a gunfight In street. Very realistic. Felt like I was in streets of dodge city. Lot of rides were already dilapidated.
Oh I have been to Ghost Town in the Sky we did love it. With saloon , jail, buildings with gun fights 😂
I remember Ghost Town in the Sky I went a couple different times in the 90s.
