Yessir, I saw Hecuba’s series and I wanna see first hand the progression this modpack has to offer cause I booted this pack up and saw all the recipes and I was stumped
a tip for chopping trees: when chopping trees, you can place a log down next to the tree, that placed log is easier to break since you placed it, but it still counts as part of the tree, so you break the tree in a fraction of the time, plus you can connect multiple trees with placed logs and then break one log to break all of the connected trees and logs at once.
This is such an underrated comment. It will save you HOURS. Just be aware, your placed log needs to be of the same species as the target tree otherwise the chain will not work.

Me too! I think the original dev dropped the project and it was forked a couple times. Regardless, I’m so happy the idea is still being worked on. There were so many great mods we’ve lost over the years.

Yo, idk if u know this by now, but crops actually drop multiple seeds if they are dead and fully grown. The easiest way to come to this is to grow crops before the winter and let them freeze, however this of course comes with the issue that you won’t get any produce. You can also craft rotten compost which instantly kills a right clicked crop.
i shall be watching your career with great interest, quick tip for the future, you can cast glass in and on kaolin clay blocks, so you do not need to wait for machines to make blocks for ya

This mod has interested me for a while but im too deep into a GTNH playthrough to swap. Definitely gonna watch your series and maybe play it at some point.
at one point, minecraft will turn into a full human ages simulator. where you start from pre-fire technology all the way to space travel. but you gotta do, every. single. step. you ain't skipping bronze, you ain't even skipping flint.

I’ve been playing tfc on and off for a couple years but I never got any further than bronze, so I’m familiar with the basics but nothing else. The suffering won’t be as bad with y'all to support me though
I think if I try this pack, I'll put it on "easy" so there are less mobs, but not no mobs. One tip: You can quickly make a mildly secure area by digging a 5x5 square in the ground and then putting the diggings up on the inside of the square, leaving a 3x3 square area surrounded by a 2 block high wall. It will still work with the falling rock mods unless the mods make material slide sideways into lower areas. It won't protect you from spiders and phantoms. I wonder if this mod is using harder natural healing or some other mod?
Unfortunately the blocks do slide down unless they are touching others on 2 sides. The health mechanic is from the TFC mod. It is meant to be a complete overhaul to the vanilla survival experience
I loved TFGreg in 1.12.... and it is wierd in 1.20 (or it s just shaders)... but of my... it seems you are not into Gregtech. R u sure u know what serias u r doing?

I hope it helps you out on your journey! Typically frame drops are due to Java’s garbage collector. Try allocating 8gb of ram to your instance and using Java 17 if you already aren’t.
I saw this series called uhc generations basically when someone died they passed there world on to the next person I think it would be cool if someone did that but with this mod separated by tech levels rather than death and instead of one person each generation would be more like a group of friends so the first generation would be a tribe while the last would be a space faring civilization
10:00 That's actually incorrect, a scythe can be used (click to place instead of break) to get seeds from full grown crops. It will temporarily reset them to the first grow stage.

Hmmm I think anything gregtech would do well for you! There’s a lot of chemistry that goes into refining materials for crafts in the MV and higher stages.

is this similar to sevtech ages? seem like it im just hoping it doesnt have the insane grind spike in end game. Having to 100% galactic craft is what made me stop sevtech.
@Flurben I started this pack last night. Sev tech has a much slower early game. Don't get a crafting table till the second age. It's a good pack just gets far too grindy at the very end.

That’s really interesting! It should be giving you straw, I do know that some things like flowers and other plants won’t give straw but grass should all the time.
@@Flurben I found the reason but don’t know a fix, in this mod pack only the gregtech knife drops straw when breaking grass, but the terrafirmacraft one doesn’t. The problem is that when you craft a knife it makes the gregtech one but when I do it makes the TFC one.

Dead fully grown crops drop seeds instead of the crop. Well fertilized crops can drop a lot of seeds. Rotten fertiliser quickly kills crop.

The mindset has definitely changed since the beginning! I’m now making diagrams and spreadsheets to keep track of all our GT automations

any Gregtech pack works, if you want to get to the chemistry quickly and easily Nomifactory is probably best

In newer versions of terrafirmacraft monsters only spawn in caves, I think it’s a very nice touch!

Yes! That’s because the server files are default set to offline mode. Change the server config to fix this.

I can’t find ANY good seeds when I play Tfg I spend hours flying around in spectator to find 0 natural iron. Anybody know the seed?
