In this video I play the notorious and infamous Minecraft modpack known as GTNH, Gregtech New Horizons or GT: New Horizons. It provides a modded experience that some believe is so extensive and hard, that it can be classified as a form of cyber warfare targeting innocent Minecraft players. Beating it can take literal IRL years, or about 8000 hours. In addition to this, the modpack requires insane dedication, problem solving and organizational planning skills, engineering and genius to complete. Modded Minecraft has been played by many TH-camrs and celebrities, such as MrBeast, Dream, TommyInnit, Skeppy, Diffy and DiffyMC. How far will I be able to get in this unique, complicated and exciting challenge without going mental?
This is not Skywars, or Hypixel or combat, trapping, racing, manhunt or related to other Minecraft skills in general. This is not me making Breaking Bad-related stuff like Heisenberg, Walter White. This is me playing Minecraft's hardest modpack in existence!

I like how some people call Vanilla Minecraft boring, then proceed to make the most mind numbingly tedious modpack known to man that takes 5 generations to get a crafting table
This comment is stupid
I mean first of all what you're saying makes no sense, how is doing a bunch of tasks to get a crafting table boring? You do stuff in games and that's what makes them fun so it's just more tedious and tedious has almost nothing to do with fun.
Second, you can beat the game in under a minute with the right seed and luck or get all achievements in 5 hours, the point of Minecraft is building stuff a sandbox at it's core and many people don't see that, and the people who play Gregcraft rather play a game with progression then play a sandbox.
Third, doing s##t is fun. Progression is fun, and if you don't agree, stop complaining it wasn't made for people like you.
and they dont realize it because all they want is something new
What are the point of these mods ? I could get it if its a "le funne" meme but idk how making things so difficult to manage is really fun or playable I mean bruh
@@kay1229 There are some people who genuinely enjoy the difficulty.
@@kay1229 As the other comment said, some people really enjoy these "extremely long and boring chores that gives you some minor progression".
Personally i do not mind some extra complexity to spice up my games(either minecraft or anything else that i am playing), but not "5 hours just for you to be able to actually mine in minecraft" complexity.

So you're saying that the water wasn't wet.
Exactly
Yes Water isn't wet It makes things that are not water wet.
If water isn't wet than what is wet
Hydrophobic water
@filipstraka3433 The water itself is not wet anything it touches becomes wet. Water is a liquid so liquid can't be wet, but it can be a liquid and it can make solid things wet. there can be exceptions, but yes, it's kinda like prison bars, water can go through them because it's liquid it changes form completely. But solids can't do that without destroying itself. Can Fire put fire on fire no. Like that
I did the math. If you played this mod like a 9-5 day job (8 hours a day, 5 days a week, not counting holidays) it would take pretty much EXACTLY 4 years to beat. You could knock it down to about 11 months if you were able to play it 24 hours a day, every day, without sleeping or taking bathroom breaks.
thats crazy FOR A MINECRAFT MODPACK
Btw i think that 8k hours is the requirement for the stargate end. Which is said by the devs to be a challenge for people who enjoy suffering.
@@radradko checkout kharax82's channel, he beat the pack after almost 7000 hours and has a 503 episode series on it, it took him 3 years to beat (technically he only crafted 1 stargate but to fully 100% the pack you actually need 2)
And that's assuming the modpack won't get an update
Well current pack records sit between 130-150 days so your math is a bit off :D

The 8000h estimation is VERY VERY off, as it assumes many things that it assumes that are simply wrong, such as:
1. You will automate things
2. you will setup an AE2 system
3. you will do "Forestry" "bee" breeding
4. You will manage to breed IC2 crops or build a computercraft robot to do it for you
Assuming you're a solo player who knows what they're doing, GTNH still takes around 6000+ hours to complete.
Finishing gtnh without automating or ae2 is literally impossible
What are the trade offs between Refined Storage and AE2?
@@jonskillings1258 RS is simpler and less involved, AE2 is more complex but has less lag and more control. Use RS for smaller modpacks, use AE2 for big modpacks.
Well automating and an AE2 system is mandatory to beat it lol

Side note. Humidity refers to moisture that is in the air, you can absolutely have a river running through an area that is not humid. Humidity usually gets higher in areas that recieve a good amount of rain, at least irl. A humid environment would be a swamp, jungle, or even a normal temperate forest with decent rainfall
Love the extra details in the part where it plays "in the hall of the mountain king"! The timings were really satisfying.
You know, tediousness is like a salt. The idea of it salty taste will make your teeth hurt, but when you actually sprinkle a little bit into a food... The food become delicious.
But this Modpack right here, is like put an ENTIRE bag of salt into a food. And that doesn't sound delicious to me.
If you think GTNH is tedious you've never actually done hard work once in your fucking life. this guy is overblowing how "tedious" gtnh is for clickbait, if you've actually played the modpack its just like. basically your average gregtech mod pack with some silly masocore aspects and a lot of content. it takes a while but most modpacks do lol. it's no different from a pack like nomifactory which also runs on gregtech, which just has less content so it's never called THE LONGEST MODPACK EVER??? the "length" of a modpack really only is representative of how many quests and mods are in it. he acts like you have to do all those quests to make a bed when if you're smart and just find the resources immediately you can craft the bed day 1 before you get anywhere close to unlocking the bed quest.
tl;dr git gud
This youtuber suffers so you and i don't have to XD

If not for the annoying nutritional stuff, i would be interested
I mean I believe the mod behind it is Spice of Life, you could just remove it however the food values are probably hard coded through scripts
the nutritional stuff isn't as bad as he made it sound. The food variety only really goes as far as not eating the exact same thing more than 1/5 of your food. The quests give you plenty of food, farms are super easy to make, and you can make hundreds of different kinds of foods from only a ~50 block farm. Heck, you're even rewarded for variety with permanent extra hearts

Some tips n things:
1) the dungeon you stumbled upon is a game dungeon. There is a minigame inside, and it will reward you some useful stuffupon completion. Just make sure water don't flow in, or it will explode.
2) every 2 levels your tool gets a modifier slot. You can upgrade tool's stats by combining it with different stuff (check tinker's construct 1.12.2 and below fandom).
3) Don't try rushing optimisation untill late Mv.
4) don't forget that you have backups. You can use them if something bad happens.
5) don't put machinery near water or open sky. They will explode when raining.
6) Read th questbook tips and try completing atleast the main quests. They give good rewards in exchange

i do refrigeration and humidity is a big part of what i do. often you will find days where the forecast says 100% humidity. well, im not swimming around on the roof haha. its just that all the air molecules around me have the capability to be 100% water. not that they are. this makes things like evaporative condensers not work as well, cause the water used to condense physically cant evaporate! there's no room for it!
