    This explains AMD products so well. The best I've heard tbh. Thank you for this content. I want to upgrade my CPU to an AMD RYZEN 9 3900X in hope of boosting my FPS when gaming. Really considering it if its worth it given the current market. My current PC specs are: MOBO =450M; CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 2600; GPU: PNY 1080 ti 11gb; RAM = 16gb; Storage: NVMe M.2 1TB and 1TB Secondary SSD; and Power Supply = 750 Watts. For context, when running warzone I get on average 90-100 FPS with low/medium settings.

      The i5 6600 is still decent. True it's only a 4 core CPU and having more cores and threads in modern games does help but if you currently have an RX 480 8GB and are wanting more fps at 1080p and more horsepower for VR, my recommendation would be to upgrade your GPU first and then upgrade your CPU later.

    This Video and Some other Videos are really helpful to me Right Now Because I am currently updating my prebuilt pc, its from either late 2018 or late 2019 (I don't truly remember lmao) The cpu that was in it from the git go was an AMD Ryzen 3 3100 4-core ... after all this time I'm finally (after upgrading RAM, from to 8gbs, to 32gbs, and then to 64gbs) hoping to upgrade to a AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-core (yeah I know still kind of outdated) and being let know if my Biostar A320MH motherboard will even be able to do the upgrade and how to make it so (if possible) ...

    Thanks for this, was planning on upgrading my 3400g to a Ryzen 5 2600 since the framerate when I play videos, like yours in the background while gaming, hopefully the 6 cores 12 threads will fix that fps drop
    Does it work well with a 5500xt 4GB on an A320 motherboard?

    You forgot to mention the CPU sticks to the fan and must be removed when they are hot. If you pull out the fan by force, you might pull out the CPU with it and damage the pins.

    Upgraded from a 1600af to a 3600 for a difference of like $40. The upgrade seems to have affected my windows installation so I will reinstall windows i guess. Video was very helpful though, thank you!

    Hi! Thank you very much for the video. I have X370 motherboard, would you recommend to switch it for some newer version or is it still good in 2022 for new games? I have to at least buy a new cpu because it's a weak link in my pc right now.

    This seems easy and I will try it. Thank you But I have question, I saw research that stated there are three things I need to do first. 1st Motherboard with compatible graphics card 2nd Adequate power to supply unit to handle the complete power requirements 3rd Display with compatible connect Is this correct or not if you can tell me. This is what I am trying to do. Upgrade my PC for video and Music. I have a AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeo(tm) 3.90 GHZ HD Graphics The music needs to be upgraded with more cores. Thank you again for the video

    Great job, very informational and keeping the explanations on the bottom shelf! I have a Ryzen 5 5000 series and an RTX 3070. I play a lot of sims like iracing and Microsoft flight simulator. I would like to run the settings on high and not have to worry about frame rate. What would you suggest upgrading to?

    Man just wanna say good job, this is a great video 😀 and i have a question
    Okay so 5000 series is out now, is it possible to upgrade from 1200af to the newest 5000 series or is there any motherboard that capable to do that?
    Just curious if its posibble to start with the very budget ryzen series now and maybe in the future u can upgrade it to 5000 series with a cheaper price

      @Maraksot78  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To answer your question, yes it is possible. Like I talked about in the video, you must at least have a B450 motherboard though and your motherboard manufacturer will need to put out a BIOS update enabling support for Ryzen 5000 series processors. I don't know how many have done that or will though. AMD's 300 series motherboards are not able to be updated which is the motherboard series that launches with the Ryzen 1000 series CPU's. The word on the update to support 5000 series CPU's is it's a one way upgrade when you do it though. Once you update your board to support Ryzen 5000 you will lose support for older processors. Not that that is going to be a big deal though, as most likely you'll keep a 5000 series CPU in it until you're ready to upgrade to a new system.

    Great video, i just stepped back in to the PC world, so much has changed this was a great video! I just bought a beginners PC setup, that has the A320 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 3 3000 Series CPU, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650. After wathcing your video its pretty clear i got the basic set up, so my question is what too upgrade first? i understand about not putting a R9 or even an R7 CPU on since it would be wasted on a weak motherboard, but would the R5 3600 be a better upgrade and then maybe the GTX 3050? The setup currently runs all my games fine, but new games like Warzone or the new Battlefield i wanna run better with better FPS. SO that said, Im not a streamer, im not a "pro" gamer but i do like to enjoy my games at a decent resolution and higher frame rate. thoughts? Advice? thank you for the video very informative !!!!

      Sounds like you have a decent starting point. You could most definitely upgrade to a Ryzen 5 and that would help but for gaming performance upgrading your GPU is going to make the biggest difference. So I would probably do that first and then upgrade the CPU later.
