    We live in Florida part of the year. if I put one of these chargers on my car and my golf cart is that safe if I am not going to be there for like 4-6 months? Do I need to wor about this being a fire hazard?

      So I misread this comment I thought it was for a battery video. This will totally be fine in the heat

    I have had this unit for 3 years. However, it never shows a full charge. It used to but now continues to charge. I tested it on another 12 volt car battery and same thing, it will not stop charging.

    Can I run my generator withe the tender attached and plugged in?

    • @TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP

      I wouldn’t recommend it as most generator’s have charging circuits built in which charge the battery while it’s running and it’s not a good idea to have two chargers charging a battery at the same time

    Question: My generator came with a battery charger. Do you think I should still purchase one of these even if I leave the battery charger it came with plugged in all the time?

    • @TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP

      As long as the charger yours came with is a low voltage charger designed to be left on all the time I see no reason to get a trickle charger. If you want to share I would love to konw which generator you bought that came with tae charger

      @@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP Thank you. I purchased the Westinghouse WGen7500. I guess it would let me know in the documentation?

      @@uncleswing4046 yeah just do some digging. By any chance the charger was made by a third party and you can find a model number on it you just put that number into google and you might find some documentation that way as well.

      @@TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP So I ended up calling Westinghouse, and they told me when I see the green light on the adapter turn on it means the battery is fully charged and I can unplug it, and then about every month or so I can plug it back in to top it off. Thanks for your response and your video

      No problem I even downloaded your manual and it wasn’t 100% clear but that was how I interpreted what it said as well

    Reality check to be on the safe side. With the Leicestercn charger (Model: EPA1020-12) hooked up properly to my generator battery, is it safe to leave it on to keep the generator's battery charged?

    • @TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP
      @TOOLMANTIMSWORKSHOP  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, 100%. Mine has been hooked up to my generator for almost 2 years straight now same Leicester battery tender works great the only time I unplug it is what I’m starting the generator because from what I’ve read of course you know there is circuitry in your generator to charge your battery so you don’t want to Chargers running at the same time

    I came here to see if you tell me the voltages of the 4 modes. And if the voltages is high enough for optimal AGM charging. Nope. BTW- Their website doesn't exist today.

      Having the same question, I have three green LEDs and I don't know if that thing charges or not. 😂
      Manual doesn't help at all.
