Hey lady! I just had to stop by and give you a big hug! I saw your video and felt so comfortable W2W with you (if you could do this, then I could to). I bought the same tent - and will be much more comfortable now while deployed for search and rescue or when out doing photography. Can’t thank you enough! You are the whole reason I pulled the trigger. So far I’ve been in it 4 different nights, and down to 28*F (with special gear for sleeping). Just wanted to come by and personally thank you !! ❤
Aww, thank you so much! Big hugs right back at you! It’s been so hot here I haven’t even been able to use mine. I’m making some modifications and can’t wait to get out there. 🥰
@@KeiWilliams would love to hear your modifications!! I’ve added simple little things so far. Like a special mat for under the ladder that sand and dirt falls thru. A special little “tie” that my sandals hang from so they don’t have to go thru the tent side door and out the back (my vehicle doesn’t allow for the ladder at the rear, and unfortunately, the shoe bags won’t attach on the sides - not yet. But I’m contemplating a solution). Looking forward to your updates!!
Sorry, just seeing this. I finally made it out to use the tent and the videos are coming out this week. Let me know what you think about the modifications. Love the hook for the shoes idea. I might have to try that because it is hard to get them around back also.👍🏽🥰 @peaks2prairiesadventures888
Watched many videos on this tent and this one is the only one I’ve come across that shows the mounting pieces and the process. I was searching to know if I will have to take a trip down to Home Depot before my tent arrives and looks like I do because my cross bars are a lot thicker than yours and those mounting pieces are fixed. Thank you so much for putting in the effort to make this video. Looks like you are really happy with your purchase. Excited to receive mine.
I guess I'm going backwards. I had an RV for years. I just sold my slide in truck camper last week (Palomino SS-1251). I guess I'm going bare bones now. All I need is a place to sleep not really to hang out for days and days. I want to put the roof top tent on a rack that I built for my 3/4 ton flatbed truck. I have to be able to tow large machines with this truck and the slide in truck camper was like hauling a house around at 9 MPG. I think the RTT will let me get somewhere around 14 MPG or so while towing one of these 8,000 lb. machines and I will still have a place to sleep along the way. Plus if I want to I can put that RTT on my Toyota FJ Cruisers rack for a weekend trip somewhere.
@@KeiWilliams Not sure if I can pull in to a truck stop or travel plaza and just pop it up to catch a nap on long trips. Do you think they will run me off ?
We had a roof top tent and loved it! We’ve since graduated to an RV so we can do more traveling. If I may make one recommendation is maybe move the cross bar a little more towards the front of the SUV to provide better support.
RV is definitely the way to go but that will come once we decide exactly what we want to do. I’m looking at a totally different rack system for the tent because I’ll feel better if it has a solid base. Thank you!
6’8” might be a bit too tall for this kind of tent. I’m 5’8” and my husband is 6’0” and we fit just fine. My nephew got in and he’s 6’2” and he was fine but I think you’ll be too tall.🥺
@@CampedOutGamers I love it so far too. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to use it yet. Been traveling and it’s been hot as h… here.🤣 I’m working on it though. Thanks for the sub!🙏🏽👍🏽
If you could do it all over again, would you get the same one? If you have to give 3 negatives, what would they be? How's it holding up? An leaks or excessive condensation? Looking to purchase a RTT on Amazon in a few days. How's the fuel mileage compared to when you didn't have the RTT?
I would definitely buy this one if I had to do it again. It’s very spacious and comfortable. At least to me it is. If I had to say one thing about it possibly being a negative it would just be making sure you choose the right mounting system. I only say that because I don’t like it mounted on roof racks like I have mine. Even though all the shops are saying it’s perfectly fine. Other than that, I absolutely love it! I don’t see much difference in my gas mileage.
@@jasonsiler8300 I’ve looked in all the stuff that came with the tent and on the site and can’t find it. Might have to contact NatureNest directly. I only plan on putting solar panels up there. Sorry!😣
Im about ready to pull the trigger and order one of these tents. Now that I saw your video it looks like there is enough room to leave blankets and pillows inside when its closed. I hope you have tons of fun with yours Kei. Props to hubby for helping out. Who in the World would have thought we would be sleeping in a suitcase ???? LOL
You won’t be disappointed if you do get one. I absolutely love it! You can’t really tell how spacious it is until you get in it. I can only vouch for the Nature Nest but definitely do your research. 🥰

Hi were did u get the last piece plastic cover were u put the clamp? I can’t find it on my tent. Ty
It was inside the tent package.
Beautiful tent and a lot more spacious than it looks! You are going to enjoy many camping trips in this.
I’m so excited about it. Thank you!🥰

Mines missing the lil brown box of parts for the luggage rack any idea how to get those lol
You probably just need to contact the company through Amazon.

Does this come with mounting hardware
Yes it comes with everything needed to mount the tent itself.
I was thinking about installing this on my kayak trailer. What is the weight that the luggage rack can hold?
Which luggage rack? The one on my jeep or the one on the tent itself?
@@KeiWilliamsthe one on the tent
