I'll add the the top can take a beating as well. I have this tent on my bronco and it gets hit by branches a lot.
The material stands up to rain very well, I had a entire weekend of solid rain and wind and it didn't leak at all.
    Great Tent no doubt.
For the net, I went to Home depot and bought larger s clips and replaced the little clips and it tightened up the net some.

When i collapse it, I strap one side down loosely and that seems to help it wanting to drift to the other as you might experience.

Yep, I do the same thing after we talked about it. It’s still slightly tougher than I’d like but it’s definitely manageable once you get the hang of it

Hey buddy thanks for the naturnest omicron walk through. I’m about to buy a naturenest tent and can’t decide between the wedge or the omicron. Question-1: space is important to me. I’ve got to be able to comfortably sleep two people. How’s the side to side space in that thing?
Question-2: can you pack it down and leave in your bedding and pillows?
Side note: I grew up 45min from Jay.

I would HIGHLY recommend this model vs the wedge style. My dad and I spent 3 nights in this tent together and neither of us had any issue at all with space, in fact we didn’t touch each other at all through the night. We’re both 6’ and roughly 185, we each slept with our head facing the opposite direction. This is the big draw to a straight pop up tent like this vs a wedge.
I have my pillows and blankets in the tent full time along with ladder and shoe bags, there’s a lot of space for sleeping gear. I actually pack my clothes in the tent prior to a trip as well

@@mo_bronco thank you! Exactly what I wanted to know.
Last question: As you know in OK and you in MO, we get some gnarly storms that brew up with high winds. Have you been in it through any of our kind of storms? How does it handle the wind? I go to Roaring River for overnighters pretty frequently and we’ve had some big ones come through over the years.
      Thx again.

@dougmcfarlin294 my son and I actually spent a night in this with hail and tornado warnings, tent did awesome! There is some small sways but it’s really solid overall! Check out some of my other vids on the tent, I have one on that night we did!

@@mo_broncoI found your other video regarding storms after I sent my question. Thx. I’m sold. Really like the relaxed nature of your vids. Maybe see you at RR sometime. I’ve been a ground tent guy my whole life and was AGAINST RTT’s as too expensive to be worth it. Borrowed a friends smutty built RTT on my last trip to Colorado alpine loop 4wks ago and it was amazing.

@dougmcfarlin294 thanks man, really appreciate that! I try to be relatable and real lol.
I too had been against them for a long time, had a smittybilt originally and if you were happy with that tent for a weekend you’ll be blown away with this one! It’s so much nicer overall

I've been deciding whether the Roofnest Sparrow was worth the extra $1700 with so many good reviews on this Orion. Nope, it's not worth it. Thx for the review and the help.

Absolutely! I just think it’s hard to justify that extra $$ on a product that really isn’t better… especially THAT MUCH better

I have never had an ounce of water in the tent over the past 6 plus months or rain, snow, sleet and hail.

I’m 6ft tall and wonder if it’s long enough for me to be able to sleep comfortably

    • @mo_bronco
      @mo_bronco  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

It’s 84” internal I believe. Dad and I, who about both 6’, slept in it together for 3 nights on a fly fishing trip and didn’t touch each other at all through the night, plenty of room in it!
