I recently got: Alien 4K Aliens 4K Prey 4K Prometheus 4K Alien Covenant Blu ray AVP 2 film Blu ray And plan to pick up Alien Romulus 4K on December 3rd. You may have picked up the theme here. I am getting all the Alien and Predators movies. If my memory and what was said in the live stream are correct. Phill you were in Prometheus?? Can’t wait to watch your part in 4K 😸👍👍
@@SirMeowsAlot89 oof, those AVP movies are a struggle. I think my problem is that o wanted them to be great, but they fell way short. Expectations vs reality knocked any enjoyment of those movies. Maybe I need to try again with expectations in check 🤷🏼♂️ Yeah I worked on Prometheus, I was a ‘ghost engineer’ - one of the engineers in the full suit with the elephant like trunk attached. I’ll try to dig out a pic and charge on the Square Eyed Geeks Facebook page… or I think the pics are somewhere within my Instagram
I just found out yesterday after the livestream that the box set of Watership Down on Amazon UK website is coming to the US as I saw the Amazon website on preorder which I knew deep down it would have to come sooner or later which I’m planning on getting it.🤩That would be the third box set I get for this month till Christmas 🎄 time.
Now Bond has split across the different Bonds in 4k with the Craig set now complete, now we will get all the Connery and finally Moore, Dalton and Pierce and one single Lazenby. An expensive venture. Although we got matching single spines on the first four Craig’s then No Time to Die completely different. I think we will get an Alien 4k set eventually as well likely all with Dolby Vision which Alien didn’t have.
@@letstalkcriterion it is a minor annoyance when the spines don’t match when you’re trying to complete a large franchise and have them looking uniform. Think the Bond franchise has probably suffered the most with that over the years and various formats
Sorry Phill and Glenn, two weekends in a row I missed the live stream. Of course I miss the Tremors discussion! The first two are amazing imo. 3 and 4 are great! But 5, 6, and 7 are bad and each one gets worse than the one before it! The Tv series is good, but ends on a cliff hanger and never continued. My friend got me a personalized signed picture of Burt with the sniper rifle, from the actor that plays him! When she went to a convention recently. I have the Arrow Blu ray of Tremors and the Arrow 4K and box set of Tremors 2. Then the rest I own on a dvd box set.
@@SirMeowsAlot89 Tremors is kinda fun throughout. For me, only the first one was worth keeping. I do have fun with the other but less precious about having them on the shelves. Did you ever see the pilot for the new tv show with Kevin Bacon. I keep my eye out for bootlegs but never stumbled on it.
I normally buy box sets to save space. I bought the most recent John Wick and Matrix collections as I didn't have some of the movies and they only came in one case so I saved space. Other times the box sets are a good deal so even if some of the movies aren't great (my Resident Evil film collection) it was still a good price. I've even bought old, out of date box sets because they're dirt cheap for the amount of films (X-Men 8 film collection, Fast & Furious 8 film collection)
@@AlexGreat321 absolutely. Those franchises that have a box set but also have new instalments, the old box sets you can normally find a bunch cheaper because it doesn’t include the latest movie. I’m a little more careful with the sets now. Don’t want to have too many boxes that include movies I don’t care for.
That Arrow Child’s Play set without the 4k of the original no no, ended getting the Scream titles all single but all with slips. Alien 3 directors cut helped me to like Alien3 more I appreciated the Fincher take. Alien Ressurection was terrible in the last 20 minutes. I have the US version of the quadrilogy. The big stars want to be paid for special features nowadays that tends to be why they’re not on the anniversary sets or they’ve passed away since. Ted Lasso I bet that other season eventually gets a separate bluray release.

There’s also a possibility Criterion might acquire the 4k licence for WD they are currently the US bluray licence owner in the US.
