Mercola got A LOT of important info out during the "plandemic" and I respect him for being honest about why keto is not the best diet, given his book was so popular.
Nonsense. Much of the anti-vaxx baloney has been traced to originating from KGB thug Vladimir Putin’s Russia. And the gullible and naive weak minded people like Bobby Kennedy Jr. grab it and run with it.
@@barrilythe2579 but what about those "miracle covid vacines" that made 100billion dollars so far, since how much money you make compared to how effective a product is as the ruler for "pseudoscience". 100 billion made on pushing something people were told was "100 percent safe and effective" while now saying "The reporting of life-threatening conditions increased over 4,400%. This is a novel increase and was not seen during the 2009 H1N1 vaccination campaign. There is a need for additional unbiased research to better understand the COVID-19 vaccines' short- and long-term effects." But mercola is "psydoscience"??😅
_“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” ― Upton Sinclair_ With a net worth of $100M, Dr. Mercola is probably not concerned about earning a salary, but hats off to him regardless for changing his position based upon the evidence.
Big difference in youtube comments in plant based and carnivore video's. The carnivore ones have a high numbers of wonderful results and cures, not as much in the plant based comments.
Thanks, Mic, for this! I used to follow Dr. Mercola until he interviewed Dr. Michael Greger and my life was forever changed for the better. So Dr. Mercola did have one most valuable video!
I have salads growing but hundreds of snails are coming to eat them, should I kill all the animals and have some salads for few days or should I kill one of my grass fed cows and have food for the next 6 months?
You mean only whatever product may exclusively be used for his former stance. Which ones would you start with? Berberine? I would keep that one. Quercetin? I would keep that one.
@mas-udal-hassan9277 We are habitual omnivores because we like carnism. But our comparative anatomy is not designed to eat animals. Proof is that we get heart disease, diabetes, e.d., cancers from eating corpses (and smell like it).
I may get some hate for this, but I think it bears saying. I've struggled with bouts of health anxiety off and on for years, so I've spent some time in pretty much every conceivable diet camp, and I have to say, though I've since taken a more plant-based turn for sustainability reasons, I felt great, physically and mentally on keto. I got most of my fat from unsaturated sources, with moderate amounts of lean meat, fish, and eggs; had no issue getting over 50 grams of fiber a day; and once I got over the adaptation hump my energy was incredible, I slept like a baby, I was stronger in the gym, my appetite was in the toilet, and my anxiety was at an all-time low. There are people who take it as a license to eat all the butter and bacon in the world, but even at my most fervent I never drank the LDL doesn't matter kool-aid. Every camp has its zealots but I wholeheartedly believe that shouldn't detract from the fact that, with some education, this can absolutely be done in a healthy manner with potentially remarkable benefits, especially as it pertains to mental health.
@@rebella5769 Highly restrictive but doable if you've got the gumption, especially if you allow yourself some meat substitutes like Beyond. My version of keto was very plant-forward, but having some lean meats, eggs, and occasional dairy in the mix definitely went a long way towards adding variety. That said, I think nuts and seeds are some of the healthiest foods on the planet, that too many low-fat people are too quick to do away with because of the calorie density. I used to make a smoothie almost every morning from walnuts, avocado, flax, chia, and hemp seeds, with some cocoa powder and sweetener. Delicious, filling, and full of good fats and fiber. Salads with olive oil and tofu were big for me as well.
Mate this comment was such a relief, people are always so extreme with their diets that it becomes some bigger part of their personality and start the whole echo chamber that denies any any downsides of the diet. I just started keto 3 weeks ago and I hope my experience is as balanced and nice as yours. Thanks for sharing
@@Fatina02 Yeah the diet tribalism is real, especially online. I have nothing against vegans, and I'm not here to preach the gospel of keto. I just feel the need to speak up sometimes against all this my camp vs your camp nonsense. Any diet can be healthy or not depending how you do it. That said I've been lower fat for a couple months now, and I feel pretty good. The anti-anxiety effect isn't what it was before, but the volume of food I get to eat now is insane compared to before. Appetite is greater, but since I'm eating more frequently it kinda cancels out. I'm gonna get a lipid panel next month and see what's happening under the hood. Point being, I feel there's many paths to Rome. All the best
I strictly followed keto for 2,5 years. Back in the years when it was really hip. But during that time I witnessed a terrifying deterioration of my health. It started with a bad mood, the low blood sugar made me feel stressed out all the time, with more and other issues I finally developed heart arrhythmia. The ketotards would say "you forgot to eat lots of salt". Since 6 years I am back on high carbs, essentially pure whole plantbased (with occasional side steps) and my health is superb again. No more arrhythmias whatsoever. Lowcarb high fat can turn a healthy man into a cardiology patient.
There are hundreds of people, many of them even 5 years on the carnivore diet without any carbs at all and with very high saturated fat intake, who can do high intensity exercise and have no problems with hearts and some of them even claim, that they got rid of heart problems. I for example got rid of heart palpitations and skipped heartbeats on the carnivore diet. My heart is now like a clock. But I am not saying, that your experiences are invented. In fact before carnivore, when I was doing keto and started to do intermittent fasting trying OMAD I experienced increased heart irregularities probably because my gall bladder was not able to handle so much fat in such a short time. Allegedly there is some connection gall bladder - heart. Now I am eating carnivore twice a day and everything is fine.
@@neilnewinger3059 I believe that there are numerous cases where people feel much better without carbs and with lots of fat in their diet. But probably those are a very small minority. The numerous and growing number of studies showing how bad keto is, is valid for the majority. I would be curious to find out which types of persons actually benefit from a certain diet. Maybe a genetic test could reveal that? Then I could have avoided this terrible journey on keto and you could have found your luck earlier with carnivore. Let's hope science brings that technology forward. But util then, the general advice for a healthy diet for the average person is probably not carnivore.
I made a very similar mistake with very similar outcomes. I made a u-turn in terms of diet since and I'm doing good (fingers crossed) but the thought of how much damage those few years inflicted on my body is a concerning one.
It depends on where you are. Where I'm from chiropractors are only allowed to call themselves dr if they have a PhD and they must specify ", chiropractor" after their names. Psychologists, pharmacists, optometrists, etc. must do the same.
But they aren’t medical doctors, and they often present themselves as though they are…at least when in the limelight. Mercola is a snake oil salesman at best.
Having tried keto myself, I will say that it feels subjectively great for a time, but the drawbacks pile up pretty quickly. You're just in a sort of stasis. Nothing gets worse, but nothing gets better. You don't lose muscle mass, but it's extraordinarily difficult to make any gains. You don't experience dips in energy, but you also can't muster a lot of effort. There's a sense of mental clarity without fog, but you also don't get to feel especially sharp. You're just in this kind of muddy "meh" state. And at the same time, you just feel greasy. Oily hair, oily skin, and while I won't get into the bowel movements, I will say they're not nice even if you get plenty of fiber. Pain sensations also become more intense; chili peppers burn more, exercise renders you more sore, even cuts seem to sting more. I can see how ketogenic diets came about. There's definitely a certain mood stabilizing effect that comes with bypassing the body's insulin response, and I can imagine it would indeed have benefits for people with certain neurological disorders. But if you're otherwise healthy, you really don't need it. It's not a diet that can be sustained for very long. Humans have very adaptable metabolisms, but an ultra-low-carb, high-fat diet is not our natural state, and there will be consequences if you go there.
True ketosis is experienced only through water fasting for over a day. Once you get passed the hunger that occurs normally while your blood sugar stabilizes and becomes pure, you will feel superhuman. I go 2-3 days water fasting and then eat whole foods, eating everything as long as its from the earth, no gasoline or laundry detergent, which is abundant in many vegan and vegetarian products.
Maybe you should stop eating plenty of fiber and eat more fat, if you want better bowel movements. Keto diet is not based on plenty of fiber. It is based on plenty of fat. If you do not understand that, your comments are not very helpful.
how come you "almost died on keto"...but, still eating veggies on plant based? the only thing you eliminated was meat...which in the long run you wil realize keep your ancestors life to eventually allow you into the world.
Gosh, it really will kill you. My friend survived his beloved keto but at the end of about a year he needed a stent and it was terrible for him. His doc told him he should lay off all the meat, to instead eat starch and veggie. Now, just a year after that he has cancer. I hate to think how he bombarded his body with growth factors during his Keto love affair. It's not a diet elders should undertake, they have less wiggle room for problems.
After a year on keto, my entire health profile did a 180 degree turn for the better. Every single metric of health went solidly into the green and my primary physician told me "whatever you're doing it you need to keep on doing it".
@Spock_Rogers my body was constantly inflammed on the plant based diet. I have lost 20 lbs doing keto, amazing energy, anxiety is gone....... To each his own.
I was keto and I didn't feel well for the 6 months I was on it. Then I went full carnivore and I feel great! I lost 40 pounds in 6 months. I'm 59 and not on any meds and now I can keep up with the grandkids. Never going back to carbs.
honestly, i was one of his earliest followers and saw he was so far ahead of the crowd. so many of his recommendations were solid, like coq10 to ubiquinol, vit d, etc.. unfortunately, his "greed" got ahead of his goodness. no one is perfect. and i knew better to buy his costly supps.
That’s what it’s meant for. We did vegan keto for my sons seizures 4 years ago, along with another therapy. When he snuck a non keto food we could tell (definitely hard being 100% consistent with a 4 year old). Sorry it didn’t work for her, it’s not always an easy diet on the body!
I just don't understand this. I did Keto for three years and never felt better. Complete nonsense that you'll die if you don't eat sugar. I've been back on the standard American diet the last two years and feel like total crap.
@@HealingLifeKwikly if that works for you fantastic, but when I eat a lot of fiber I feel like chit. Been back on strict keto again for the last three weeks and already feeling better.

I followed a super low-carb diet for eight months and my body NEVER stopped screaming for carbs. When I did another diet simply counting and reducing calories but included whole food carbs like potatoes and rice, I did not have carb cravings and lost twice as much weight. So kiss my sweet potato! Do you remember the Blue Zone in which long-lived folks ate a high fat/low carb diet? You can’t because there were none.
When humans want to do the extreme "diets", other information does not matter. Its' like a snowball rolling down a hill. When other humans convince them that keto or carnivore is the only answer, they join the club and fall in line easily.
Yea there is a group of people who eat a high fat meat only diet consisting of whale blubber and they’re just fine. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Dr Weston A Price might be a great start to your evidence based journey.
You have to dig for the truth. Sardinian's eat pasta now. They didn't years ago. Also the Okinawan's didn't eat rice years ago. So the 100 year olds ate a different diet. If found this comment from a Sardinian spouse on a Dr Berg video: Sardinian centenarians, we're talking about people who for the first 30-40 years of their lives at least, ate very few calories. They used to consume way more vegetables and wild herbs (pumpkin, zucchini, celery, potatoes, carrots, beans, lentils, cauliflower, wild fennel etc.) than what they do today. One staple dish was minestrone ( vegetables and legumes soup, sometimes with the addition of small chunks of lard or pork skin) and some olive oil. They ate some bread everyday (sour dough and not refined), some cheese (almost everyday) and small amounts of fruits (apples, figs, pears, oranges). Pasta back then in Sardinia wasn't eaten very often and homemade "sweets" or "dessert" were only eaten during holidays or special occasions (eg. weddings), so maybe 4-5 times a year. What the lady says it's true : Sardinians now consume a lot of beer, even too much, but back then there was no beer, only homemade red wine, and centenarians drank it everyday in small amounts, with dinner, ; and that "digestive" she was talking about it's called "mirto", which is a liqueur made by the myrtle plant, not a berry eaten in it's natural form.@@toms8879

On Mercola's website, he now has a "Warning" sign on each article. That he may have changed his recommendations on the particular subject. Also, show me a high paid professional athlete who can thrive on a low carb HIGH fat diet. Nope.
Simple carb controversy. I'm low carb/high fat, and I have been most of my life. Why? It helps me with seizures and auto immune.. And weight control. But I have tried vegan and felt pretty well as long as I only eat monosaccharides. If I eat carbs I try to only eat monosaccharide and not disaccharides or polysaccharides. So my feeling is that in my case at least, there is a problem for unknown reasons with metabolizing disaccharides and polysaccharides . I'm doing well. I don't think diets are a one size fits all. If you have a problem with disaccharides and polysaccharides you may wait a long time for a doctor to tell you. Like a miserable lifetime. I've never followed Dr. Mercola. I let my own health be my guide.
It has cured so many millions of people where veganism long-term does the opposite. Dr Jasmandas and Dr O'Mara has shown in their practice and clinical research, 50 years combined between the two, that they see more vegans than any other groups for heart disease and RARELY ever have seen a carnivore patient. What does that tell you?
I am pleased to hear Dr Joe is getting on the right path. He was the first guy on youtube I had found who speaks about health. Yes, I differed with him as I was vegetarian and had just turned Vegan when I began watching him. I recall really being twisted up when he would recommend eating all those eggs and fish etc. Well, this is a good thing. The Keto spell is ending!
Weird. Imagine being so happy that someone quit a diet. Brb, celebrating vegan food companies losing business and imploding. Meatless butcher being the most recent. An example of keto meals; eggs with rocket, avocado & blueberries. Salmon in butter or olive oil with cauliflower rice & peppers, spinach and walnuts. Beef with rocket salad, zucchini noodles. All extremely nutrient dense. Not a single study links keto to disease (especially not the recent one made up of food questionnaires & keto dieters eating 167g of carbs per day) - lol) You're just mad & can't cope with people eating meat, fish or dairy🤷♂️👍
so this guy quits his fad diet after he's safely made his millions out of it because he knows how unhealthy it is? feels like he should be spending some of his ill gotten gains publicising this more to everyone who he took in and is probably now suffering serious consequences from it
It is quite funny to have CNN accuse anyone about spreading misinformation. I'm glad to see some balance brought back to diet, extreme in any direction typically misses the target. Mercola has helped to bring both truth, and untruth to the health table, hopefully he continues to improve, his FINANCES sure have! Sheesh! 100mil?
I do vegan keto. It’s not hard and it’s REALLY worked for me- gone from fatty liver to the healthiest liver the technician has seen in someone in their fifth decade, have lost over 50 kgs and still reconfiguring my body, have brilliant levels of nutritional and blood markers and am doing better than ever. Vegan keto is absolutely a thing. :)
I'm so fed up of keto. I love fasting, do it all the time, and for some reason so many people who do fasting also do Keto. I try to watch channels about Fasting, they always delve into Keto.
Even some youtubers i watch that don't talk about health at all happily mention from time to time how healthy keto is. I hate it. They have no clue and they influence all those people.
I'm so glad that I follow my cardiologist's advice to stay with my WFPB diet. Yes, I had a stroke but it was due to a congenital abnormality. There was no blockage in my coronary arteries and I plan to keep it that way! Keto has always struck me as bs.
I am WFPB also and its the best lifestyle you can make (I don't call it a diet it's a lifestyle) I reversed a 50% arterial blockage. My husband was given 3 years to live with agressive prostate cancer. He didn't opt for conventional treatments changed to a WFPB and he is still alive and healthy at 77 and going on 14 years! I am 77 also.
@@NancySteinVeganChef Thank you. Wasn't sure about the WF. I have a vegan friend who has been vegan for many years, but he's very overweight and ended up with clogged arteries and a stent in his 40s. @@Janeway1269 being vegan is different then wfpb there is a lot of vegan junk food. Wfpb is a lifestyle eating whole foods, exercise. We eat beans, whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, pasta, tofu, seitan and lots of greens.
Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of his actions. I stopped following Mercola many years ago, when he was insisting on something I don't even recall (not diet-related) that I knew to be in direct opposition to hard research, and it made me doubt all of his other advice when, instead of correcting, he doubled down. So, his about-face on keto earns him a tiny bit of grudging respect from me. But I still don't trust the guy. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Mic, and for keeping your anger in check when mentioning how resistant to that low carb vs high carb study these people typically are. It's maddening to deal with their intransigence!
All of that, ditto for me. I, also, met the guy and knew his girlfriend a bit (he lives around the corner from my ex), and that confirmed my thoughts about him.
Respect? Don't rush it, this is just another way for him to make millions since keto is going nowhere good. He'll write his book about how good the simple carbs are then when that goes bust, he'll write one about the right complex carbs.
It's beneficial to be able to find information from any source, not just those who are trusted, as no one is right or wrong 100% of the time, and no one has all of the information. The fact that they are trusted does make the process easier though. This change from Dr Mercola does NOT make me trust him more, as he may be just getting out of the way of a trainwreck. I never trusted him enough to buy supplements from him, and he seems to be a grifter, though he did have an endodontist on his show at one point, and she is at the top of her field. (Dr Valerie Kanter).
He seems very sincere. However, I believe he was guilty of confirmation bias for many years, and humans bought into what he said. He found research that always agreed with his belief system, and ignored other information and research. Interesting that after so long, ONE study got his attention. At least he has found the benefit of watermelon, finally.
@@edgbarra Good luck with that. I would suggest getting an MRI scan for visceral fat and levels of myosteotosis on the muscle in your legs as that is the leading cause of heart disease, stroke and 85% of all disease. Dr Shawn Baker is a great meat-eating man. Holds several worlds record for rowing. I like to watch his videos when he debates these pasty malnutritioned looking vegans. How could you look like you are decades older than you are and get on a podcast with Dr Baker, who looks 15 years younger than he is and try to argue with him about how healthy eating plants are good for you and eating meat is not?? I just laugh my ribeye eating ass off when I see this.
It's very easy to lie in front of the camera. If he does, he takes supplements like a lots of carnivore does, basically eating vegetables and fruits in a capsule form.
@snu3877 the only withering up and dying, will be you vegans. If your diet is so good, don't take your vitamin B12 supplements. See how it works out for you??😂😂
The issue is that people want quick results without considering the depth of their diet 😂, leading to complications down the line. Losing weight isn't as simple as just creating a caloric deficit through diet and exercise. Proponents of the keto diet often experience a yo-yo effect when they return to their regular eating habits. It's important to stick to your usual diet, including slow carbohydrates like potatoes, which help settle the stomach. Incorporate foods like meat, chicken, fruits, vegetables (such as broccoli and beans), eggs, cottage cheese, and low-fat cheese. *ESTIMATE YOUR CALORIES* Opt for sugar-free beverages, enjoy treats in moderation, and complement your diet with moderate exercise (at 40% of your VO2 max). If you feel like having a piece of chocolate, go for it-don't deprive yourself just because you're aiming to lose a large amount of weight quickly. A caloric deficit, combined with exercise, is the most effective and sustainable approach to weight loss without added stress. High cortisol levels inhibit fat breakdown.
And I would like to add that losing weight is like running a marathon because we are changing our eating habits and sometimes we stray because motivation is like a car that constantly needs refueling to keep going on its path. In moments of doubt, adjust your diet and increase by +1000 calories if necessary compared to what you normally eat; it's better to stray while increasing the intake than to give up altogether. By following this principle, you stay on track and can still go to restaurants, McDonald's, have ice cream, go to the movies with popcorn with friends. Good luck on your journey; everyone progresses at their own pace, and prioritize your body; it's yours, not that of a guru who will only take your money through fake pills and will also waste your time and health ! ❤❤❤❤❤

A high carb diet just make you hungry all the time & makes you retain about 10 lbs of water as it slowly but surely packs on the pounds. Of course some keto diets that do not take in large amounts of vegetables and eat a ton of meat are unhealthy. But that doesn't mean all keto diets are bad.

What i can tell you is that i am 66. I used to be obese and suffer from several chronic health conditions. Two years ago, i started intermittent fasting aggressively by eating just one big meal per day. I cut out all sugars, all highly processed junk 'foods' and drastically reduced the carbs. After just two months i lost about 60 pounds of excess fluids and body fat, and as time went by, i reversed every one of those chronic health problems that plagued me for decades! I doubt it because he mentioned to Dr Paul Saladino once that he had beta-thalassemia and that no matter what he did, he could never get his cholesterol above 200 mg/dL and that his doctor would always congratulate him for it. He probably quit keto because of energy issues.
He finally finds out lol what a hard way to find out that every carbon based lifeform is made of sugar and the chemical structure of hydrocarbons matters.

I remember from 10th grade biology this definition of complex vs simple carbs: Simple carbs are "sugars" and complex carbs are "starches." Hence , according to this definition, fruits are largely simple carbs and white bread is largely complex carbs. I don't understand why almost everyone confuses "refined" carbs with "simple" carbs. OR... am I confused and was my tenth grade education regarding carbohydrates wrong? If there are any nutritional biologists out there let me know.

They didn’t need to do that. They could have just done liver cleansing and flushing to get the stones out of the gallbladder. If there are stones in the gallbladder, then that means the liver is already full of stones, as the gallbladder is a reservoir for the liver. You almost never “need” to remove a gallbladder. Just that western medicine doesn’t help with preventative health and wellness through diet, cleansing, fasting, exercise , etc. They are trained to cut things out or prescribe drugs for advanced stages of disease, specifically.

Dude should have studied basic metabolism before writing his book. He was making money pushing a fad diet and I expect that he’ll be on to a simple-carbohydrate money-making adventure next. Quack 🦆
I agree with your presentation in general, and I eat a plant-based diet. The only thing I want to point out is that cortisol, being a hormone, has both negative and positive effects in the body depending on whether it is in balance. It actually has anti-inflammatory effects as well as inflammatory effects, depending on whether it is being produced in excess, or not. Also, although in excess cortisol can promote abdominal fat deposition, it can have positive effects on fat loss if kept in balance. For example, the body naturally releases cortisol in the early morning hours to wake us up and energise us, and if one exercises in a fasted state before breakfast while cortisol levels are naturally high and glucose, and therefore insulin levels are low, cortisol actually accelerates visceral fat loss. What one doesn't want is high cortisol levels throughout the day, however!
@@arnomanet3371 I am saying that if you exercise in the morning in a fasted state you will have increased visceral fat loss from the abdomen: In other words, the bad fat around your organs will be eliminated quicker. I hope that was clearer.
@mas-udal-hassan9277 Cats are carnivores. However, your comment has absolutely no logical connection to my comment, so you can't say "That's why..." as if my comment somehow proves your point.
My sister was on a strict keto diet for a long time and decided to eat fast food randomly ended up passing out after eating and in an ambulance from eating too many carbs too fast
That's the thing....if you're longtime low carb or keto or carnivore, your pancreas has downshifted its production of insulin. You now cannot handle carbs/sugars at all. You'd have to reintroduce them slowly to give the organ time to adjust.
I hear a lot of people make this mistake regarding the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates. Simple carbs = sugars. Complex carbs = starch. Simple carbs are things like fruit and onions. Complex carbs are legumes, grain, and potatoes. Parsnips and sweet potatoes are about half sugar, half starch. It has nothing to do with fibre content. Both whole apples and apple juice are simple carbs because they’re mostly sugar. Both brown and white rice are complex carbs because they’re mostly starch. We need both simple and complex carbs each day, but in most instances, whole food, fibre rich versions are going to be healthier. For healthy people, refined carbs are fine in moderation, but not the healthiest choice. Occasionally, a refined carbohydrate will be the healthier choice, but this should be determined on a case by case basis, with the counsel of a doctor and/or dietician
Neurodegenerative Diseases: the main reason to be on a keto diet. Aside from improving athletic performance for some, being in ketosis due to a strict keto diet moves the pendulum back to metabolic flexibility, which is having your brain burn both ketones and carbohydrates. Your health needs to have the ability to switch back and forth. Ideally ketones at night while sleeping into the early day due to a 14-16-18+ fast and then glucose from super healthy plant rich foods. Those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia have the inability to burn ketones along with being insulin resistant, they are not able to effectively burn glucose/carbohydrates. They've got to condition themselves to burn ketones. The keto diet is a key, not the only factor but a definite link pin, to reversing neurodegenerative diseases.
There's keto and there's keto. Unfortunately American keto doesn't include much vegetables because Americans are raised to dislike them. "Meat and leaves" keto is good. 1/4 meat (fish nuts, you get the idea) 3/4 leaves.
I believe in Keto diet, because it has help me, but part of it. I do keto, but when my body ask for a piece of bread I take it, Normally I eat rice, fruits, but small cuantities. My diet is more greek type.
Good for him. I'm not a huge fan of Mercola, but I read his book about the pandemic which I can't name because the title has words that trigger TH-cam. It was on point, at exposing the authoritarian tactics of the government and special interest groups. To his critics, I want to know which one of his claims were "misinformation"(?)
yes, lots of the misinformation has become information. Do you find it frustrating that we've been herded into 2 groups; vegan/climate believers/covid believers versus keto/climate deniers/covid deniers? I'm an outcast from both groups (vegan/climate believer/covid denier). I'm really glad Mercola has moved on from the keto, perhaps the two groups can start to meet me (and you?)in the middle with the evidence based scientific truth!
I just watched Mercola talk at Dave Asprey Biohacking conference- the big issue with all you diet fundamentalists including you making this video is your fallacy of a one sized fits all approach to diet. It’s nonsense. This is why I prefer the wisdom of Ayurveda which takes into account Bioindividuality and the fact we are all unique and different. So keto may work for some, others not, and vegan may for some, others not. If you understand traditional Ayurveda it explains all that very carefully. Our soma breath coaches are trained how to create custom lifestyle plans for the individual based on the Ayurvedic system to help people from falling for this huge mistake. The problem is that the modern wellness industry is like 20 years old and has little wisdom to it, so that’s why it’s confusing and changes all the time, ancient medicine has 1000s of years of wisdom but you need the correct teachers who are non dogmatic to deliver it. ❤
Okay someone chooses to quit keto diet. Then a study on low carb diet is quoted. If we are speaking of a keto diet, the study should be on keto. Keto is short for ketosis, so if you are not in ketosis, you are not on a keto diet.

What do you think of vegan keto???
@@rebella5769 It doesn't work, just do normal keto. It's better for you.

Congratulations! Glad you are feeling better.
@@Kayte... Thanks. I hope it helps as a warning for others.

Good coverage - appreciated you talking about the ex-keto rug shuffle. Thanks for the shoutout.
You are cited as the source, good find
didn't you swear by the keto diet for a while?
This is some interesting insight about how doing keto feels like, thank you for sharing 😊
I couldn’t last the first 2 weeks of Atkins diet let alone keto diet. I’ll stick to my rice+veggies.

The bench mark for diet is the blue zones. No one has done a long term study as long as the centenarian Ikarians, Sardinians etc...
Are they not all meat eaters?
yes,but the carnivore people are saying those studies are not what the people are eating.

It's very easy to lie in front of the camera. If he does, he takes supplements like a lots of carnivore does, basically eating vegetables and fruits in a capsule form.
How surprising! Keto is unhealthy. We only knew that for forever now…
Well....... many of us knew, but so many obviously didn't/don't. I sincerely hope this is one diet craze that quietly withers up and dies.

*ESTIMATE YOUR CALORIES*
Opt for sugar-free beverages, enjoy treats in moderation, and complement your diet with moderate exercise (at 40% of your VO2 max).
❤❤❤❤❤

They didn’t need to do that. They could have just done liver cleansing and flushing to get the stones out of the gallbladder.
Thanks, I'm getting confused by all the different info I've been reading on cortisol

About the covid vaccines though, check Dr. John Campbell. Things have taken a dark turn.
