@ApexSuperior1998 You forgot the confessions of Frank Tifano? He's not a "she," and one couldn't want a more perfect or dedicated "carnist" than that dude...
I foresee a few people going, "If no *longer vegan videos* are just anecdotal but not a flaw with the diet, then how is carnivore different?" As FiftyPlusBeauty mentioned, there are no long term studies on a carnivore diet but we have countless long term studies on vegans showing lower disease rates. The Esselstyn study I mentioned in the context of her stroke and going on an Esselstyn diet was 12 years, showing a halting of cardiovascular disease as well as the other studies I briefly covered in the video. People will have issues on all diets but when you only have anecdotes, the counter anecdotes matter more. You are only playing at the bottom of the hierarchy of scientific evidence. These people are like canaries in the coal mine. Carnies in the coal mine?!!
Also, ex-vegans have no evidence for their anecdotes, while many ex-carnivores state specific health problems that can be measured and often have blood work to prove it.
Fifty plus beauty seems like a lovely person, but she also failed to mention if she had a certain medical intervention these last years , the Jab that is, and how many boosters. It is a known fact that that causes clots. I alone know 10 ppl that have had them since, young and old.
The fact you used lilie Kane is hysterical. You either didn’t watch her video or are lying. She still meat based. She tried adding things back in and it made her sick
You could mention the millions of animals that lose their habitat and existence from farming plants. Also the chemicals being sprayed on all plants including organic are of concern to many. I eat meat based but to keto which is some plants. There are thousands that have fixed their problems by removing plants, sugar, grains, and processed food. I agree that clean plant based could work but the sugar addiction is real and causes issues to those addicted to the sweet tastes. No diet is perfect and your arguments are woth consideration. I believe ketogenic is the answer as I tried plant based and quit in 2 weeks as it made me sick. To each their own and good luck finding their proper human diet. Peace out.
I have a congenital heart value issue (PFO) and had a stroke. My cardiologist recommended that I stay WFPB for the rest of my life. Now I'm too old to consider heart surgery so there's no way I'm ever eating meat. I see meat and immediately think stroke. Thank goodness my coronary arteries are blockage free.
actually seed oils block arteries, and calcifications from the bones in reaction to seed oils, cooked dairy and flesh. the plaque that blocks arteries is an immune reponse - like inflammation - so meat itself doesn't block anything except maybe the colon; but if it's very often then it would have this response. you wanna avoid seed oils. no fried shit.
5 year vegan. I suffered from metabolic syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood sugar). I went whole food plant based no sugar or oil and low salt and I lost 65 pounds, all my conditions greatly improved, my gums stopped bleeding, and erections and energy returned. I used to have an appetite that was never satisfied; whole foods cured it. I no longer use a sleep apnea machine. Finally, the food is cheap-Beans, lentils, sprouted flourless grain bread, rice, potatoes and seasonal apples. Also, I save money by not having to buy pills or visit the Doctor. I am thankful to all the vegans who suffered attacks to reveal the truth to me.
It's refreshing to see someone post eating plant based, that has had a myriad of ailments fixed through eating plant based. (Not surprising) but every video I see is someone who did carnivore that says "It literally made my bank account say one billion dollars bro!!!!" And I'll just be like "I Eat what I want....I just lost weight and switched to a more whole food diet (still some processed stuff, yes) and had literally all of the same benefits / weight loss etc. I respect anyone who is vegan as well, especially if they are doing it for the betterment of animals.
@@GuitarsAndSynths Grass fed won't save you. Here is a Harvard Study, I have other studies that conclude the same. A Harvard study: Association of Animal and Plant Protein Intake With All-Cause and Cause Specific Mortality. Researchers brought in a large group of people and they looked at the protein they ate and who lived and who died. They controlled for the cholesterol and the fat so they could look just at the effect of the protein. Conclusion: Animal protein is always associated with higher cardiovascular mortality. Plant protein was inversely associated with all cause mortality.
that's probably because you still have a lot to learn. an all meat diet is not high in saturated fat nor high in cholesterol. try to find online resources that will help you learn more about it.

Imagine going back in time 30 years and someone asking you what the impact of the "information superhighway" would be and you reply, "you know scurvy, that sailors disease from hundreds of years ago? Thanks to the internet it's making a comeback"
Although I get what you mean, more information is a good thing. How to process that info is another. I will always advocate for free speech. There is no such thing as a democratic society without it. I do feel sorry for the gullible. There are so many pitfalls out there for them, like liquor, drugs, porn and gambling. I just wish that animals never had suffer more because of fools.
I can attest when the majority of my diet consisted of meat and eggs, i felt very bad (hard to describe, like my blood wasnt flowing normally, anxiety attacks, heart palpitations?) and my acid reflux was out of control, hickups, just burning throat all the time and constipated. Plant based saved my life.
I remember when non-starchy vegetables got the thumbs-up from every dietary faction, even the low carb faction. Only the carnivore faction insists that vegetables are unhealthy, and nutrients like dietary fiber and Vitamin C are unnecessary. I don't want to know how nasty the constipation is on a carnivore diet. I've learned to stop at a store to buy fruits and vegetables when I travel, because there's no way I can consume enough from restaurant foods. Being deficient in fiber gives me nasty constipation.
If you are on carnivore diet for a longer period of time, your intestines get used to it. Also you are forgetting how easy it is to take tasteless powered fiber that you can add to any drink , even water, and you can't tell it is in there. I was on carnivore for about a year like 6 or 7 years back, and had no constipation issues whatsoever (AND I was on opioids at the exact same time due to chronic pain issues)
There are chemicals in plants called anti-nutrients, Sally K. Norton wrote "Toxic Superfoods" about the poison called Oxalate which is in spinach, black pepper, soy, raspberries, almonds, etc. Thes compounds block mineral absorption and deposit irritatin compounds in body tissuesthat cab cause disease, like gout and kidney stones.
@@JappaKneads No, they don't. It takes a lot of time for any change. And when you are on carnivore for a decent amount of time, adding real plant fiber back into the diet can cause quite a lot of horrible symptoms, for many people. (Which even include constipation) The entire make up of microbes in your intestines changes on any long term diet. (These microbes heavily effect anything involved, like intestinal motility for example, or how much gas is produced, what ends up making it through undigested or what gets fully broken down, etc) Which is why the mass majority of people on carnivore diets don't have constipation issues, strangely, yet they consume very very little dietary fiber.
I mean it's good news, but when the carnivore dieters quit it's a win for their health and the animals and planet. When a vegan quits, no one wins. (Except for the %1 of people who have an imbalance and need some meat.)
Your video, like many others by prominent TH-camrs, can be misleading. For instance, Lily never completely abandoned the carnivore diet; she simply incorporated some fruits, which is a common adjustment. Moreover, it seems you've selectively cherry-picked information to fit your narrative, leaving out crucial parts of the examples used and failing to provide viewers with the full story. I don't advocate for any specific diet, but the key element missing here is that both extreme diets-carnivore and vegetarian-can be effective because they eliminate seed oils, processed foods, sugar and other harmful substances often found in supermarket products. I've personally been on a carnivore diet for quite some time now, and the results have been remarkable. In less than six months, my health issues, which had plagued me into my mid-50s, disappeared. While my diet mainly consists of meat, I do occasionally incorporate fruits and low-sugar vegetables. It's important to acknowledge that there's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to diets. It's crucial to experiment and find what works best for you as an individual. I recommend trying both diets for at least a year, regularly monitoring your health with blood tests every three months. This way, you can determine which approach suits you best. It's worth noting that many TH-cam influencers prioritize profit over providing accurate health information. However, it's reassuring to know that several prominent carnivore influencers are actual doctors with years of experience in human medicine. They base their recommendations on extensive research and practical experience, rather than simply aiming to maximize their earnings. The discussion surrounding the woman who suffered a stroke while on the carnivore diet is also rife with misinterpretation. It's important to recognize that the development of arterial blockages leading to strokes or heart attacks typically requires decades of poor dietary habits and unhealthy lifestyle choices. We must consider several crucial factors before drawing conclusions. Do we have information about how long she adhered to the carnivore diet? What were her dietary habits and lifestyle like prior to adopting this approach? Was she perhaps a vegetarian before transitioning to the carnivore diet? Regrettably, these significant aspects are often overlooked or omitted from discussions. Even if the woman had provided this information, it seems that these critical details were overlooked in your video. Additionally, the woman in question is in her 50s, implying that she likely did not consume a meat-centric diet throughout her entire life. It's plausible that her time on the carnivore diet comprised only a fraction of her 50 years. Furthermore, it's essential to consider other lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption, which can significantly impact cardiovascular health. Rather than solely attributing the stroke to her carnivore diet, we should explore these broader questions to gain a more comprehensive understanding of her situation. Simply showcasing the effects she believes were caused by her diet without addressing these critical contextual factors does a disservice to viewers seeking accurate information.
I think there is enough evidence that animal agriculture has a huge environmental impact plus causes the suffering of millions of animals. Why don't you try to be a bit more balanced in your dietary choice instead of this selfish way of living. I find all these carnivore doctors, bloggers never mention the suffering they indirectly cause, because they don't care. For me the emphasis is compassion, isn't that the most important quality a human can have ?
Very true and well said. I had just stumbled on this channel today and have watched a few of the other videos mentioned in Mic's video here and was confused because a few of those videos are still following Carnivore and made minor or temporary adjustments overall. It's difficult to appreciate the wealth of information people across this platform can *seem* to have when the info becomes hard narrative driven; instead of humble and honest approached.

I said she's back on basically the same animal-based diet as she was when she changed her diet due to health problems. Animal-based is not carnivore, just like plant-based isn't vegan. They refer to what the majority of food comes from - animal or plant. Is a vegetarian plant-based? Yes. Is a keto follower animal-based? Depends on WHICH keto diet. You can eat predominantly animal OR plant food on keto and paleo (which is mostly a sham anyways since its "historical" basis has been disproven by scientists in anthropology, archaeology and paleontology)
She said in this vd that she eats less red meat and more turkey/chicken (due to high iron), dairy and some fruit. So she is basically meat based with fruit and maybe occasionally broccoli.

I’ve been doing carnivore as an elimination diet for 2-1/2 months mostly to address my brain fog which started to clear up after one week and now is almost gone, as is my anxiety as an unexpected bonus. I’ve never felt this level of calm. Totally new territory for me. I also don’t need to take naps anymore and my ice cream cravings are gone, which says a lot. I still have my cheat days when I go out but find I’m foggy the next day but I’m ok with that. For what it’s worth, friends I haven’t seen since starting this elimination diet asked what I’ve been doing because of how healthy I look, saying I look younger. One friend was in disbelief at the change to my skin and face. I had noticed some outward changes but didn’t know if I was imagining it, so their comments were unexpected but a confirmation. I was a smoothie girl for decades and always wondered why my joints hurt. I believe it was from the plant oxalates. My joint pain is hardly noticeable now, but it takes awhile to dump the oxalates from the years of eating the “good for you” vegetables and nuts. I have added back sourdough bread, sauerkraut, some berries and kefir a few times a week and a tablespoon of honey every few days. Before going on carnivore, this last year after learning about the high oxalates in vegetables and nuts, I cut out all smoothies and maybe had two salads the entire year out of guilt. Curiously, my yearly blood test was my best test in ten years. (Total shock and curiosity.) At this point, my goal is to eliminate high oxalate foods as they appear to have negatively impacted my health. I’m grateful to have found out about using carnivore as an elimination diet as I work toward a balance that works for me.
I just started smoothies again and my knee started hurting again, thank you for explaining that it's the oxalates. I have been eliminating oxalates and I think you will like Sally K. 3 years Keto. High LDL. Dr wanted me on statins. BP dangerously high at 185/95. Sure, I lost weight-15 kilos! But it was mostly water/muscle mass. Went on the Penn Jillette potato reset. Then WFPB. WOW! LDL plummeted, BP tumbled, visceral fat lost (about a kilo) and I have all my old energy levels back. Not a carnivore anecdote, but relevant. ❤️🙏

How is it even possible that a nutrition PHD got on a diet without fiber and vitamin C? Like... isn't that the bare minimum to know that these are essentials?
Very telling video... Eat what makes you feel good... I know that everyone is a unique individual and what is good for one is not good for another... I am carnivore and found so many health benefits from Carnivore, after so many years of vegan and fruitarian when I was so sick, so that's my story, but each to his own.
Fruitarian isn’t exactly a Whole Foods diet lol. Idk why anyone would lump that in with vegan when vegan is the only one that offers everything. I’m not attacking you but I don’t think you’re using every part of the animal either as a carnivore so you’re not getting every vitamin and macronutrient their body built. If that’s the only reason you’re trying carnivore.

I've considered unsubscribing every time I hear a creator say, "I'm doing the carnivore diet" or "I'm going to try the carnivore diet." I haven't done it yet, but it's just... my respect for someone plummets when I hear that. I'm glad people are starting to see their way out the other side. "These are obviously the things I realized AFTER the fact." (8 years into carnivore) Yeah, and meanwhile, you could have investigated it a little better before going carnivore or at any point along the way. You could have just thought of all those animals. Really. Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? At least he admitted he was wrong. I'll give him that. (But if he disembowels a sheep in his backyard, I won't forgive him.)
I'm convinced the meat industry are spending some of their advertising budget on promoting some of the more high profile "influencers". It would be great for their bottom line as every person going on the carnivore diet would probably triple the amount of meat they bought a week. It happens across the spectrum with other products. I.e: Promote this dietary supplement, bike brand, shoe brand etc etc and we'll give you "x" dollars per video. So why not with meat etc? Makes perfect sense. Why wouldn't they do it? This is where u get all the vegan hate, plants are poison and are the causes of all sickness, just eat meat and you'll be superman/woman. All of which drives meat industry sales. But they've pushed too far and it looks like people are waking up and its potentially blowing up in their faces imo. But yes as a just turned 30yr long vegan I'm biased ;)
Yes, I believe they will do anything to keep their customers. The BIGGEST threat to them is veganism telling the truth, so what better way to kill more gentle animals than convincing humans that plants are bad and you can eat 2-4 pounds of corpse every day and be healthy. cheers.
I asked lilly 11 days ago "when you say you were on a strict carnivore diet, what were you eating exactly?" Still never answered. Paul Saladino was eating liver everyday ( hypervitaminosis and copper toxicity) and blamed it on the carnivore diet. He claims his testosterone dropped, when my testosterone jumped from 826 to 1160 in mere months!! The people who quit were either heavy carb/sugar addicts and missed the "variety" that the industry offers us OR they were eating too lean or not getting enough salt (It's crucial to get enough salt when you're not consuming any carbs) I only watched 3 minutes and I'm not going to watch the rest, although I can answer ANY question you shoot my way because I know the science behind it and I stand strongly behind it. I was personally sick and on my way to health-hell, and eating a carnivore diet saved me and I look and feel 100 times better. I tried plant based, while RARELY having any meat, for 4 years and it ruined my health. Everyone have their own story, but I think that no one should fight anything before trying it themselves and see what happens. BUT... Do it right (Salt your food enough, stay away from processed foods, seed oils, carbs and sugars and consume plants to a MINIMUM. A few berries here and there won't hurt you) Eat enough fat with your meat and eat until you're full. Make 95% of your diet consist of red-fatty meat and the rest could be butter, eggs, chicken, fish etc.... That's it!!! What you said in those 3 minutes already contradicted my own experience and thousands of other people's experiences healing chronic diseases and other health issues that no doctor was able to figure out, only in a few weeks!!! Again, try it yourself because this could be the best thing you ever done for your body. And maybe not!!! Right??! But don't believe what you see in these types of videos because I PROMISE you, not a single study he's going to bring up would be able to establish causation. I know that because those studies simply don't exist in nutrition!!! Just a bunch of epidemiological piles of crap that are worded to make you feel that causation has been established. Be smart and try things yourself before you become a mindless person just swayed by everything you hear. That's fair to say.

Yes, I completely agree that this guy is misleading and doesn't give all the information from the videos. Cherrypicking parts of it. For the Lilly Kane video I have watched in full, and she is on a mainly carnivore diet still with some fruit. Not sure about the veg tbh I would have to have another look at the video . Worth watching the whole video though. Also the James blunt video MIc the Vegan isn't being truthful about it , as the video I watched James blunt said that he had visited the doctor after trying the carnivore diet for several weeks and was low in vitamin C . And could develop Scurvy, not that he had full blown scurvy which MIc the vegan eludes to So James Blunt then decided to have 1 litre of Orange juice a night and then was expierncing acid reflux. This means that I cannot trust this guy because I don't think he is being fully honest. And there is alot of attacking energy of people who are genuinely trying to find out what is best nutrients for themselves ,. Which is difficult to do . J
I agree that it’s depressing that none of these people quit because of the environment or animal suffering or communicable disease risk of animal farming. Or that you can feed more humans on plants than animals. It’s such a myopic view of diet-all focused on just themselves. It’s just sad.
For one, Lilly is a Ketovore she didn't give up on meat. Matter of fact she eats mainly meat. With one or two pieces of fruit a day and a little greens as a side dish. And I know this because I follow her and I do the same diet. Enjoy your plant toxins. And there are a lot of people that have been healed from a carnivore diet that I know personally and from online.
Hi Mic, one thing I’ve found but never really hear about is the lack of lactic acid build up after workouts, when on a whole plant food diet. Even after not training for a period of time, I get very minor burn or pain post workout….? All the best.

idk why carnivores and vegans need to go on an extreme diet. I feel like a mostly carnivore diet + some fruit/veggie or mostly vegan + eggs/fish/milk would be super healthy

@@JappaKneads No, they don't. It takes a lot of time for any change. And when you are on carnivore for a decent amount of time, adding real plant fiber back into the diet can cause quite a lot of horrible symptoms, for many people. (These microbes heavily effect anything involved, like intestinal motility for example, or how much gas is produced, what ends up making it through undigested or what gets fully broken down, etc)
Which is why the mass majority of people on carnivore diets don't have constipation issues, strangely, yet they consume very very little dietary fiber.

I can hear the carnival jingle in my head now
I do called them carnies sometimes :o)
Vegans rejoicing at carnivore quitters, just like carnivores rejoice at vegan quitters.
I just look at both and shake my head, and eat my meat and veg.
I mean it's good news, but when the carnivore dieters quit it's a win for their health and the animals and planet.
When a vegan quits, no one wins. (Except for the %1 of people who have an imbalance and need some meat.)
Because the carnivore diet is built on anecdotes and now, we have plenty of anecdotes to the opposite
This guy is unwell. He does this every single time. Biased as hell.

(Total shock and curiosity.)
At this point, my goal is to eliminate high oxalate foods as they appear to have negatively impacted my health. I’m grateful to have found out about using carnivore as an elimination diet as I work toward a balance that works for me.

Did you eat a lot of vegetables when you were on Keto? It is very confusing. I see others who are very sick with high BP near death and totally recovered with Carnivore. I think it depends on individual

@@sagearbor9414 I started Carnivore in October of 2018. Yes, I have eaten every part of beef... I love kidneys and liver, tongue, and tripe and even made a cookbook including my roasted beef heart. I only tried fruitarian for a short while, mostly as a detox. I am going to be 80 years old next year, so I have had a long life to try out different protocols as well as extended fasting on water-only up to 30 days. I find fasting to be very beneficial if done the correct way. Thanks for your response.

Good for them to have the courage to admit they were wrong
she didn't quit carnivore. she has a dandruff skin issue thing so she experimented with adding plants for several weeks to see if it fixed it. it didn't fix it, and it caused multiple other health conditions, so she went back to carnivore, fixing the new health conditions, but still having the dandruff
Some claim that dandruff is from too much protein (body tries to get rid of it that way).
Good. The carnivore trend really worries me. I have friends who aren't entirely carnivore, but close. They are convinced it's healthy.
Why would you want to be friends with people like that?
I think this diet is good for natural selection
It actually is. Plant based is the SAD diet. Look around you and see everyone is overweight and sick.

I've considered unsubscribing every time I hear a creator say, "I'm doing the carnivore diet" or "I'm going to try the carnivore diet." I haven't done it yet, but it's just... my respect for someone plummets when I hear that. I'm glad people are starting to see their way out the other side.
"These are obviously the things I realized AFTER the fact." (8 years into carnivore)
Yeah, and meanwhile, you could have investigated it a little better before going carnivore or at any point along the way. You could have just thought of all those animals. Really. Am I supposed to feel sorry for him? At least he admitted he was wrong. I'll give him that.
(But if he disembowels a sheep in his backyard, I won't forgive him.)
I think why people who start carnivore experience health improvement is because they dont eat processed foods anymore!
But yes as a just turned 30yr long vegan I'm biased ;)
very true, people like Bart Kay have admitted taking money and what about that Nina Teicholz (sp) she’s taken millions, total shill
Exactly, they counter vegan by heavily supporting carnivore and constipation...
haha i've said the same thing
Yes, I believe they will do anything to keep their
customers. The BIGGEST threat to them is veganism telling the truth, so what better way to kill more gentle animals than convincing humans that plants are bad and you can eat 2-4 pounds of corpse every day and be healthy. cheers.
Honey, me for over 30 years, never regretted it.
The people who quit were either heavy carb/sugar addicts and missed the "variety" that the industry offers us OR they were eating too lean or not getting enough salt (It's crucial to get enough salt when you're not consuming any carbs)
I only watched 3 minutes and I'm not going to watch the rest, although I can answer ANY question you shoot my way because I know the science behind it and I stand strongly behind it.
Care to share any credible references to papers, books etc. of the science behind the carnivore diet? I've been under the impression there are none (yet).

I stopped at a couple seconds in when this guy straight up lied about lillie kane stopped eating a normal human diet aka keto/carnivore. He is lying to you guys. But shure vegan is better then the sad diet, and so is carnivore. Keto a inbetween i think its the best. I lost 18kg in 7 month witout even training. Its all about what food that spikes the insulin most carbs-protein-fat
I did the carnivore thing for a year and came back to plant based.
I went keto then carnivore and got a horrible virus. I hadn't been sick for two years. It took over 3 werks to get well and it wasn't covid. I have never this sick this long. I also had problems healing cuts and scab for weeks. After getting sick my gallbladder acted up and constipation. I also felt horrible and lethargic. So I went back on carbs and felt amazing. I did give up caffeine which helped my anxiety. I am not vegan. I know whole food is the best. I don't eat grain or dairy because I have celiacs and hashimoto's. I feel better. I listened to lots of carnivore youtubes that it helped their autoimmune, anxiety, gut issues and depression. I can't say it helped me. I wanted to work.
I gave up caffeine and it helped me become a calmer person.

She says that she currently eats 2 servings of fruit a day, vegetables when she wants, etc. but yes, as I mention right after her LDL number that she is still eating a pretty animal-based diet which matches with her not seeming to be concerned about her high LDL.
