My birthday present just arrived! I love it.
I am hoping that they come out with an elegant alphabet set. That would allow for gorgeous monogram cards. The grids on the chase would make it so easy to line up letters.

Yes! I totally agree!
I can't see the difference between this press and using a regular cutting die to make an impression. We can use our cutting dies machine and our cutting dies with a rubber mat to get the same results. You've shown it many times on your channel.
When I first read about this tool I didn’t think I’d want it, but I decided to withhold judgment until I saw your demo. Now I want it!! Your thorough coverage of how to use the letterpress and all the different ways to use it did not disappoint! You’re amazing. Thanks, Jennifer!❤️❤️
Thanks for this awesome video, Jennifer. I quickly went from "I really don't think I need that" to "I have got to get one of these!" Your reactions were my exact reactions when you lifted the paper off the plate. So pretty! I love that Spellbinders is bringing back an old school printing technique from yesteryear, while giving it a modern twist and making it simple and easy to use. ❤

I have a particular fondness for "letterpress" having been an actual offset press operator who was also a real phototypesetter, and a by-hand technical illustrator + camera operator, all the trades supporting graphic design, all prior to the release of the personal computer (which seemed to make "everyone" into a graphic designer, lol...)

I was taught to use a letter press with a roller when I was in college. We made our own plates. When I received a text message from SB about it - I wondered if my etched plates would work with it - I sent SB an email asking for the thickness of their plates - I definitely think they will work by what they told me - but I decided shortly prior to their response to pre-order it, without knowing if it would be a good match or not. I felt it would be a good tool in my crafting arsenal to have. But their response that arrived 5 days later is just icing on the cupcake! 😀
Jennifer - I have watched your videos for years, and am always inspired by your creativity. I often find myself clicking on your links to supplies and tools to purchase the latest and greatest - and this video is no exception! THANK YOU for providing your reviews and techniques, I look forward to each video. ALSO, those of you who have been in the paper crafting world for a while might have the Lifestyle Letterpress plastic plates. THEY WILL WORK in this BetterPress system! You need to remove all three shims from the chase and use the adhesive sheets that typically came with the plates to temporarily adhere them to the platform. Sooooo much easier than the ink rolling you used to have to do! So excited to revive my old stash with this new tool!!

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I understand your excitement, but I have to admit that this is one "tool" I can probably live without. I love the look, but the tool is only the beginning of the cost of this system. I think I'll be watching from the sidelines on this one.

Looks like a wonderful technique and the dies/plates are just gorgeous. I like that Ranger is doing the inks, I truly never had success stamping until I used their inks. Interested to see more and how much everything will cost. Thanks for sharing this in your usual clear, concise and thorough way.

Thanks for sharing. I like hearing about products that can be used in paper crafting from someone that is experienced. I've always loved the clean, elegant look of letterpress. It's exciting to see a product like this that can achieve the look so well!
