Simon Hurley does the Betterpress sub system work in other die cutting / embossing machines? ie. Sizzix, Big Shot etc? Has anyone tried it?

Thank you for a great and comprehensive review. I am not sure Betterpress is an addition to my papercraft, however, I do love my die cuts and Spellbinders is one of my go-tos (as are Ranger inks ha ha). 😊
Why do you need another set of inks?
@@michaleedwards4310 yes I have a Sizzix Big Shot and I’ve just tried the floral plate and the Happy Birthday plate. Works brilliantly but I would have been better impressed if the cleaning product was included in the starter kit. I struggled to get the ink off the plates.
This definitely gives beautiful result!! I very much appreciated your clear review. But all 25:20 I can see is how much money would have to be spent to make this worth having. Anything that requires reinvestment in the medium to make images, as it can't use any of my collection of stamps and dies, I won't be purchasing. I can't!! I won't purchase the glimmer foil system either. I am not saying these new products aren't fantastic, because they are! But for every new system that is released you have to build your inventory up from scratch. The cost is prohibitive. How many prople will buy the starter kit and then a few dies where it will eventually end up in a corner gathering dust because each time you want to make a card you have to buy something first, an expensive product. Just thinking of the money Spellbinders is going to make off this is something else.
Simon, you do such an amazing job with your videos. I’m so glad when you demo a product that you go into such great detail on how to use it.
I just placed my order for the system and several plates as well as the inks. I just loved your cards and instructional video. I think my favorite though was definitely the one where you applied different color inks to the flower and then made the tan colored leaves! It was just gorgeous! Thanks again, Simon!

Beautiful cards - the first light multicolored background would be so pretty to stamp the butterflies on and cut them out - then fold the butterflies at their body and adhere them to white card stock, fold the wings up and they look like they are flying
I’ve resisted the Glimmer craze to save money, but after watching a few videos like yours, I placed my order. I can see making classy cards to give as gifts in sets. Very cool to see how well the paper takes watercolor, too.😊

I like the shot in beginning you had with the Betterpress sitting on the Platinum machine. Looked very professional. I like watching how the Betterpress works. The images are very beautiful. While I will not be getting this for my craft room, as I would also need to invest in a Platinum machine, at this time, I know there will be some amazing cards & projects being made by other crafty folks. Very good review, you showed all the good and the possible drawbacks, thanks so much. They are beautiful results, but I do have to think about how much I would use it. I did see someone else did try and use the plates in the glimmer and they seem to work there too, so that would be a plus. But I don’t have the glimmer so wouldn’t do much for me. Thanks again!

Wonderful video with great uses and also pros and cons. That butterfly card was so unique! I also got to see your dye inks in action. I had not planned on getting your inks since I have Stampin’ Up and Ranger, BUT, your colors are stunning. So getting some of those for sure too! Nancy in Colorado

When I heard about it at Creativation, and it won best new product, I still thought, eh - doesn't interest me. Great video! I put a thin piece of acetate on the magnetic base to prevent it from getting so inked up.

First off, lemme say I am totally mesmerized by this Letterpress!!! But, with that being said, since you've come out with the Hot Foil Plates & your own dies to match your stamp sets....I just now realized there has been no "awkward die cutting scenes" 🤣🤣🤣 I was trying to impress my wife the other night while I was making a card and when I went to use MY diecutting machine (of course it was the Spring Chicken die set) I said to her "Here comes the awkward die cutting scene like Simon does" and she laughed at me!!!! (truly though she does support my love for all things Simon!!!!!)

😮thankyou for the info. I don't have a betterpress YET, but i did by some dies to use for hotfoiling ... AWESOME results. I feel a little guilty for abandoning my many wood mounted stamps (I'm old) I do value your opinion
Another great video, Simon, and the best part was your reaction when you took out that very first panel! It reminded me of Jennifer McGuire's reaction. You both were so amazed and excited! That first panel was my favorite, but I have to admit when you put the butterfly white panel over the colored butterflies I literally said, "WOW!" out loud!!
Yes, the reaction was 100% genuine… I was shocked. When you run it through the machine it doesn’t seem like much is happening. But, when you take it out… the results are STUNNING!

I loved the way you did color blending on the butterfly card. Especially when you sprayed it with water. I really think the only way to add color to these images is with some sort of water color. It gives the best results. Color pencils, IMO, don't work, they don't give a professional finish. Thank you. I'm really glad I came back to watch the rest of the video.

Nice cards Simon, I loved the butterflies the best too! I might consider this new tool but I am a little reluctant because it needs all new inks and all new paper. Not only is that expensive, but then you have to store it all...🤔
I feel like you could use regular cardstock too… you just may get less texture depending on the thickness of the cardstock. I’ll test it out soon. :)

I was not too sure on the Betterpress machine, but after watching your demo on it, I think it may be something I have to add to my stash. I was wondering if the inks you have to use are the inks you used or can you use other archival inks? I may have missed that if you said it in the video. Thanks Simon

Trying to find the "Butterfly Swirl" set that has the one piece "bronze" die cut. Can't seem to find anything but the die cut that cuts the butterflies individually. HELP! (Love, love, love your videos! You are my "go-to" designer! I trust anything with your name attached to it!

Really beautiful cards. But I don't own any Spellbinders machines. If it would worker in other machines I might think about buying the BetterPress.
It also works in the sizzix big shot! :)
I saw a review yesterday and the Betterpress is supposed to work with other machines, Sizzix was the example used.

I have purchased it, tried it and like it. But your comment about how many of this 'one' card will I actually make. Also I bought the 8.5 X 11 paper in porcelain i can cut it into A2 card panels for less than they sell the cut panels. Now I know I will have to make at least 100 cards. I do like pressed image.
Can the better press be used with any machine?
Can betterpress be used to hot foil ?
Love this new toy BUT my arthritic hands can’t tolerate the manual Spellbinders 6. Will this work with my Gemini Jr???
Unfortunately, I don’t believe it will work in the Gemini Jr. machine. Sorry!
Luv ur video. Luv this, but matter of personal choice. I make cards for fun, not money. I have a budget, so maybe this not as versatile. On another note, Stamptember is coming, so probably going to splurge on that.
