Best tip in the game is to go find the *Sunglasses* atop a Windmill between Abessa's Domed City and the npc Raddok. They will make all loot in the game much more visible so that you can scavenge like crazy from the get go. Otherwise you will miss a ton of random loot that's scattered everywhere throughout the game.
Don't even bother with combat if you don't have 1. Animal Trophies. 2. Experienced Hunter - XP for kills. If you don't have these, combat is a waste of time. Cause you get nothing of value in return. You only waste time, maybe potions But every range fighter wastes ammunition. Your loss...
That's actually a really good advice. I wouldn't agree that players should avoid it from the start completely, they need to get a feel of it of course, just don't try to kill a troll with your rusty axe =P
Also when engage in melee combat, I recommended using mace or blunt weapons. Special attack including 3-hit combo that would take huge chunks of health against skull enemies like RL whack-a-mole instead of using blade weapons, which only leap attack as special atk
One little thing annoyed me the most when playing this game, not the bugs, not the difficulty, not the clunky controls but the lighting: when you enter a building the screen goes black then light comes back gradually (like at 6:25), it's only lasts a second but it's most horrible lighting effect I've ever experienced in a game.
@@DopeOnRope Oh yeah it's a great game, don't get me wrong, it's just that lighting thing that was very annoying, if I remember correctly it was a bug introduced by one of the patches, I had to revert back some files to a previous version to play the game, my eyes couldn't take it (no joke, my eyes were hurting from those dark/bright transitions).
@@Scalpaxos I actually looked into this a little bit after being annoyed by it in my own playthrough. I thought it was some sort of issue on my end but then i found out that they purposely did that by trying to make a "realistic" effect, as you walk into a dark room right from the sunny outside day, your eyes need time to adjust to the inner lighting of the room (in real life), so some people speculate this was the effect they were going for. It's done kinda lame unfortunately.
@@ronaldbernik7357 The problem is that it's horribly done, when a ray of sunlight enters a room from a window, the rest of the room where the light doesn't hit isn't in the dark because light scatters all around. In the game only the area where the light hits is bright but the immediate surroundings are in total dark, this is just bad programming.
thank you so much for all these vidoes, bought the game when it was released on the xbox one but I never got around to playing it. after the xbox one x update came out i decided to give it a shot and was getting wrecked constantly. all the vids you made explained everything perfectly and now im having a great time, its very underrated game and wish more people gave it a chance.
Mid to late game maxing Animal Trophy is a priority, especially if you want to fast track yourself to be an OP beast, slayer of all things. With Animal Trophy 3 you will get anywhere from 1 to 6 Natural Elex from killing any mutant, and the larger mechs. If you have the recipes Elex and Strong Elex potions which give you +2 Attribute points permanently for the standard potion and +1 Perk point for the large. Each Elex Potion has 2 recipes except the small which has 1. Strong Elex potions will require 10 Natural Elex, and I believe 4 Liqueur (easy AF to get) or 5 Elex, 1 Elex Potion, and I believe 2 Liqueur (Liqueur is very easy to get so I don't really keep track of how much of it you need to make them) Elex Potions on the other hand require 4 Natural Elex, and 2 Liqueur or 2 Small Elex potions (might require 1 Liqueur as well I don't remember off the top of my head) Usually after an about an hour or 2 of roaming and farming mutants and Alb's I'll have enough Natural Elex for about 2 or so levels worth of Skill points, or about 3 levels worth of perks. Lastly selling off materials is also incredibly profitable, without glitches or anything you can just sleep for a couple days and roam a repopulated map for an hour or 2 and gather upwards of 20K+ in resources to be sold. which will be incredibly useful, late game a full set of Paladin armor from the Berserker faction will cost you almost 30K Elexit, and enchanting tier 3 upgraded weapons costs like 9K a pop. I assume these numbers are about the same for all three factions.
Good vid but you had some spoilers about the story near the end... A couple of tips from me: 1) get the Adventurer's amulet during the prologue (google for location) and then obtain the PICK POCKET skill in the first city ASAP. I found this to be the easiest way to make money, which can then be used to make elex potions to level up your character attributes much faster. Just save frequently and steal from everyone you can in each city. You'll average about 50 elexit each! 2) the cleric follower sucks, he's the weakest one and basically worthless so avoid him and use one of the others. 3) early on you MUST QUEST to level up quickly, don't spend time fighting mobs b/c the XP just isn't there. this is basically the case throughout the game but most important early when you are very weak. final PRO TIP, you can clear multiple high level enemies by kiting other enemies to them (such as kiting mutant monsters into the human outlaws/reavers). they'll start fighting each other and weaken/kill each other and then you can clean up what's left! works very well in this game.
The one thing I like about this game is the steady power climb. At first you're super weak but as you get better stats and better equipment you hit a point where you're raiding camps and actually winning. When you do that for the first time it feels very good. It took me like 16 hours to start to feel competent but im nowhere near strong yet
Good advice, Click. ---------------------------------- I've had my companions bug out this way a lot. Sometimes I'm not really sure if they're supposed to not help me because I'm meant to win the fight on my own in that particular quest, or if it's a bug. But like I said in jest above, somehow I always manage in spite of this and other bugs - or most other bugs, at least - and I really, really do love this game.
I picked this up to complete my Piranhabytes collection on Steam and I am sooo excited to delve into it more, I've only played a little over an hour but I am thoroughly enjoying the world building and dialogue. I really hope with the Gothic 1 remake they take some ideas from this game for controls, because I remember OG Gothic controls on PC were a bitch.
In Gothic and Risen you could take enemies weapons but not armour(which might make sense since armour needs to fit) but in Elex you can't even take weapons.
Click4Gameplay, that guy isn't me, he's impersonating my youtube channel. If you could report him for impersonation it would be extremely helpful. Hopefully they can give him an IP ban. I have no idea who he is, but I doubt he's a particularly good person...
Deepest apologies for this troll clogging up your comment section, C4G, feel free to delete and ban him from your channel; I'd do the same, though I'm oddly curious to know who'd care about me enough to want to troll and impersonate me...
GET A SHIELD!!!!! they are a massive game changer. between being able to block almost all damage and being able to knock down enemies with a shield bash its a HUGE help
man the skill where you get more health fromm food is CRITICAL! you get like 3x the health from every piece of food. Also the more stamina and more health from each level. Got those and armor skill by level 4. world of difference
If we can give commands to companions to use ranged weapons or melee that would be great. Some idiots have extremely powerful guns but decide to go melee and get stunned.
I just started Playing and have Been trying to find out If There is a negative side to Joining a faction asap. Some say you only lock yourself out of the faction leaders quest other say you lock yourself put of tons of quests. What would you say ?
Tip 1 at about 30 seconds in, you say strike at the end of the animation. I can't figure out what you mean. If a combat animation has begun, how do you strike at the end of it?
You can look at the combo bar. Don't click to launch your next attack until the bar is near the white vertical line. This methods helps to understand how it works, but you'll have to focus on the bar at the bottom left of the screen, so once you get how it works it's better to look at the animation.

No. But it looks like it, because when you're aiming your bow, or grenade / magic, you get more flight time it seems. A lot more, but you're not ascending or falling down.
You can also feather the button for the jetpack to extend your air time, though it takes a but to get the timing down You want to just barely start gaining altitude then release, hit it again just over the height you were at before the previous boost. The overall effect should look like you are bobbing down slowly. Just remember to save your emergency fuel to land safely if you are too high.
Since you are also playing ELEX on console, what are you playing it on? I'm playing on ps4 (normal not a pro) and I have some terrible stuttering issues with fps that occasionaly resault in crashes. Do you suffer the same issue? P.S. great video very helpful.

It played fine on my PS4 Pro, but I did only play about 3 hours so far because I have a huge backlog of games. Haven't played or installed it on my PS4 (yes I own both). Had no issues on PC like Click4Gameplay had with longest play session being about 2 hours. Still haven't played on either system any longer than 3 hours total.
Cleriks are the best all around faction though, but the best tip I can give is get you're self a flamethrower and set the attack on the "Fireball" setting, it knocksback enemies and is fairly OP, I manage to deffeat enemies such as trolls and other mutant monsters at lvl9.
Geraduss the psionics are a beast. Black hole is so powerful i can take on whole groups with it. Its an aoe that sucks in enemy and does damage over time. If your getting over whelmed you can just hover and spam black holes and watch your enemys get pinned to the ground and melt.
Click4Gameplay hahaha you’re right I just brought the game an I already spend an hour into the game. The follower helps you out on your quest. But I havent played Fallout new vegas or the 4th one yet. O.o
I’m most pissed off that I need a shit load of stuff to simply unlock skills. It’s utter bullshit. And the fact that I can’t use weapons because I need 50 in dexterity is mind blowing. I wanna give this game a chance but it’s really hard to start.
Use what you have, stop trying to fight every enemy, level up a few times out the points in the skills you need to use the weapon you wanna use then go get that weapon, avoid all fights onnthe way to a quest marker, pretty much a guarantee the bigger enemies are gonna be too difficult innthe beginning of the game, use your jetpack to avoid fights and just get to the quest marker to get the XP and level up
It's an RPG and you're advising everyone to learn the skills of a hunter - that's wrong. You obviously excelled in the combat system, but you never got used to the role-playing system. I played a magician without crimes and without hunter skills, I had enough funds for all consumables and I played without sunglasses and without amulets with skills. Joining a faction for magic classes is a must and you'll only miss one quest with the guards to capture Oswald! The rest of the outcast quests and the quest to find the drug dealer in Fort Ignadon will be available, you can safely complete one quest and join the faction!
Combat looks like a matter of exploiting enemy A.I. more than anything else. Just look at the last fight. Actually every fight in the video was you flying away and healing while your A.I. partner did nothing and the enemies just ran in circles. But then again there’s more to RPGs than just combat
They should have made experience we gain based on enemy level than enemy type. It's not even worth it to kill most enemies in the game when they are at such high levels because of the low XP we get. Damn this game is so broken.
game hard as fuck..but fun...more then 2 enemys at a time...run away no chance of winning. im level 7 , some hunter wants me to kill pack of raptors...u kidding me?....they 1 shot me.
what a shame! the game world is fascinating, but the combat is really really bad. I dont understand why the developer dont spent some effort to make a working combat system given they spent years of their life to build this world.
It's not terrible, but it still is bad. Hitboxes, no stamina for monsters, stunlocking combined with enemy damage makes combat in early game nightmare and in late game annoying. Don't get me wrong, I really like this game and consider Gothic 2 to be the best game of all time, but combat system in Elex is far from great
People keep mentioning how hard this game at the beginning! But they dont mention how easy it becomes after you start leveling up! I gave up this game at level 20 because it's super easy and not challenging.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this game and consider Gothic 2 to be the best game of all time, but combat system in Elex is far from great
People keep mentioning how hard this game at the beginning! But they dont mention how easy it becomes after you start leveling up! I gave up this game at level 20 because it's super easy and not challenging.
i hate rotboards
+Toms Steinbergs I kinda like them now, there are far worse things lol
Click4Gameplay yeah, but when i was low lvl, they were like everywhere, and i even tried to defeat them.😂
This video only has 7 tips....title lies
I love this game however the compact system is completely trash... I realized from the beginning that I would only use range weapons.
N /A check out my melee guide Fighting Multiple opponents, you might change your mind a bit about melee :)
This game looks horrible buggy mess
you have to watch animations? in a PB game? oh fucking god this game is going to be brutal
