I personally prioritise chemistry over lockpicking. Want to talk about saving elexit? This let's you make potions with just herbs and various drinks, you'll even learn to convert multiple small potions into bigger ones which is a life-saver.
Depends on how much Elexit you want to get and if you are willing to use glitches. You are so right with this. My experience: If you want to play by the rules, 1. Get the Adventurer's Amulet from right at the beginning. 2. Animal Trophy skill and make sure you upgrade to lvl 3 when you have the points later on 3. Get another point in lockpicking 4. there is an Thief's amulet for Pickpocket +1 in a broken tower left of the entrance to the domed city in Abessa so you don't even need put a point into it), wait till night in any settlement, sneak into huts/houses and steal from the sleeping people. Save regularly and reload, just in case. 5. Chemistry to make your own health and other potions. That should set you for making Elexit by the rules. If you want to glitch yourself to 10000+ Elexit, you need around 1400 Elexit first. Hightail to the Camp in the Center. Buy a trader from Annie for 1000 Elexit. Go to the Trader. Enter the buy weapon category. There are a Chain Saber III and 20 Handgrenades. Buy ALL the handgrenades first, then buy the Chainsaber and yes, you can buy it even if you don't have the Elexit to do so. Now cancel the deal. Voila, you now have the Elexit from the handgrenades amd the one from the Chainsaber, around 11000-12000 Elexit. You can do this as often as you want, but it works only if you have not enough money for the Chainsaber. So, whenevdr you get to be low on cash again (below 1000 Elexit) and do the glitch again. This glitch was posted by someone on youtube and it works till this day. This will help you make your charactet OP in no time, by making Elex Potions (the trader also sells the recipe for small and normal Elex potions, the large/strong Elex Potion recipe can be bought from the Seperatist trader at the 3rd (or so) floor at the converter in South Abessa (Sestaks HQ).
another tip: fighting big creatures (like rippers) is easier by only using heavy attacks correctly and finishing with the special move. this way, you stagger the enemy each attack, so it doesn't attack you, and you maximize your damage output, so it's possible to defeat "skull" monsters without losing any health, since it's only one at a time.
I am about 20 hours in right now and I've neither hurt for cash, nor have I had more than 5k elexit at one time. I think the money balance is pretty decent early on as long as you loot everything.
Just finished the game my self, and a few tips I can give it, get the throphy hunter skill, rank 2 is enough to get the elex shard. Also get the flamthrower(Knocks down enemies with every hit making them unable to attack) from the cleriks, ammo is cheep and its very OP all through the game, spells and such are a gimik you can use them but don't focus on them. Ranged weapons are the best in mid and late game, don't bother with melee skills pass that point, laser guns are superior to plasma(Also has knockdown but a much smaller damage/aeria) damage wise even if the interface numbers say otherwise. Save up at least 20Pure elex for crafting, use the rest to make the +2attribute points potions, NEVER make the skill point or xp potions, those are usseless. You'll never lack skill points but attribute costs at the 30 and 60 hights get insane.
Adding things, DON'T bother with picklocking/hacking skills, chests never have anything worthwhile, at least nothing that you can't get from a vendor faster. Don't bother with resistances or the extra xp skills, they are only 5% boost. But DO get the good eater perk to gain more hp from eating food, its a MUST have skill. Get all the crafting skills, the weapons you can upgrade you're self are better then those that you can buy/find. Also don't bother with intermediate tier armor that costs 10k, save it up for the finall tier or you'll just waste elex.
Geraduss spells and such a gimmick? Tell that to my cleric black hole tech, it kills anything instantly and sucks any other enemy around into it and kills them too.
Hispanic Cuckslayer and Sjw flayer he said "spells and such" so I was guess he was also talking about tech because they are used similar to spells and he doesn't talk about them separately.
well u showed the location but u didn't said anything about it ...5:14 that place is windmill north-east of domed city in Abessa ,on top it u can find sunglasses that will have u see all items in a big radius and that can help u allot with looting
If you go melee. Hit with light attacks to stagger then use heavy attacks. Be sure to hit your combo as soon as your bar is full. Use the jet pack when you need to regenerate stamina then roll as the enemy attack cycle starts (many creatures/mutants have an obvious attack cycle)
The Pickpocket skill is amazing, especially because it also increases your ability to sneak effectively. Plus on average most NPC's have 50 to 200 Elexit. So you can farm all day and be hella rich. I love that the "Karma" system doesn't revolve around stealing, just your speech choices. makes stealing so much easier on my poor soul, haha.
get haggler skill-find a merchant that infinitely refills his stock-buy scraps-sell them back-rinse and repeat until Money is no longer an issue-on a side note,i hate how this game basically Forces you to exploit elex potions or be underwhelming in battle forever
I have been playing for little more than 24hrs now and the game is awesome (even considering its flaws). One comment on how to get elexit: pick pokets. The average NPC has between 30 and 50 elexit and it is quite simple by learning the first level of the skill. Another way is with cigarettes. You can sell a box for 20 elexit and a pack for 200! If you keep taking them here and there you will get a lot of elexit once you sell them.
Surprised no one talks about the fact vendors seem to have an unlimited supply of certain goods. Like the vendors in Tovar always restocking granades. I always keep 100 or so on me lol
Hey, I just finished the game today, and i'd rate it a 7/10, mostly because of pacing and quest design issues. Don't get me wrong, I really loved the game for the most part, but once you get some actually good equipment, it suddenly gets too easy and all the rewarding challenge fades away (Finished the game with 40 hours, not all skills were purcheased, and had the starting cleric acolyte armor, but over-damaged everything thanks to the psi amplifier and redeemer rifle). Also, choices didn't really seem to matter later in the game, and the fact some side-quests are linked to main ones is terrible, making the game not as complex or content-filled as I expected... really sad
I use cheat engine to get my jet pack unlimited so I can explore. I took the easy path so do you think I cocked up the game at the start. I am 10 hours in and done very little I am just enjoying the world that has been built up.
dude can u make it so that live streams get uploaded on your channel? not everyone can watch them live, and i would really like to see some gameplay from u
I have found quite a few of the Gemstones in the safes, along with rings, necklaces, and notes. Basically everything is available to sell so you will never be out of anything except a few moments of picking the lock.
From the looks of it, you can literally just cheese every enemy by strafe-hugging them, cause they can't follow. They make this looks like child's play compared to Dark Souls 1 Also, what is up with this nonsense like 'in this game you won't get 10 000 gold or whatever in the beginning'. What game does that? Seriously, stop trying to accentuate Elex's alleged strong points by making up shit like that.

Agree 👍
I'm level 14 and I love this game

What about pickpocket? Frankly you should steal loot and pickpocket everything.
