Becka you have already been up the mast more than any other channel I watch. You look pretty comfortable. We all know there is a person for every job. Stay safe. Nice easy crossing.
Hi Teulu, for those of us who are binge watching your old videos, could you number them, so that we can watch them in proper order. I just managed to figure out the video where you finally left England for good. This is so great to see in sequence. Someday, I am going to hire on for a passage across the Atlantic for any boat that needs crew. And I am definitely doing a Panama Canal Line Handler trip. So great to be mentally sailing, while I live the greatest live I want , on land with road trips.
Go to the home page of their channel by clicking on the name of their channel above the video description (under the video). In there, click Playlists. Alternatively, you could go to the "Videos" tab of their YT home page, scroll down to the bottom of a few years back, select all the videos and paste this into a Word file. A few edits removes the placeholder graphics and junk, replaces by , etc., and you have a table that you could move to a spreadsheet where you can do all sorts of statistics. Whilst retaining clickable links. To date, they have posted 197 ("long" because they are not "short") videos that add up to 3,916 minutes. Beck and Zach skip Beck's origin story videos and their sailing boat and sailing journeys stat with the 56th video. They probably exceeded 11 million total views now and 108K subscribers. Considering they posted video 56 on 2021-09-06 that is a remarkable growth. They also have uploaded a video about every week for a couple years now, so they create a dependence - expectation better word? In their YT home page you'll see a header with some channel information and "...more" next to it - click on that and you get a pop-up window with the interwebs' details they put there.
Congratulations on a successful first channel crossing. Well done. Regarding your wind speed vane, it sounds like the bearings are worn, which is why when you heal it slows down and why when you tightened the assembly it just stopped. Wishing you fair winds and following seas and safe travels.
This is probably the most epic video, where for the first time you are crossing open water for good. Great video. I am watching this from Las Vegas, Nevada, in the middle of the desert, the farthest away from an open Ocean experience that you are having. Fantastic.
Hi guys. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your channel, Its really great watching you both learn to both sail and embrace " boat jobs " I really admire you both for having the courage to do what your doing. I'm sure it's on the to do list but wind noise is a bit of a problem at times. Keep living the dream and keep safe.
Such a wonderful episode. Your gaining a little experience and with that comes a peaceful comfort. In your last video your excitement and happiness was nothing short of contagious. Almost addicting. I truly got a real boost watching. I believe it was some time early last year that I remarked that if you just keep being you and stay humble and loving you guys (and the channel) would do great. I'd say the windex might need a set of new bearings. There might also be a sleeve or spacer missing/worn on the bearing shaft, which means the bearings get pinched when you tighten it up.
I agree - the sleeve looks as if it may have worn, particularly if it is pinching when you heel over. Not sure you can get spares though - sorry... Might be able to get a 2nd hand part replacement part? Worth contacting NASA (looks like NASA Clipper?)
I've only just found your channel and binge watching everything! Hello all the way from Australia.. As a sailor working on glamming up his 1980s boat I thoroughly enjoy your unbridled enthusiasm and 'dive in the deep end' approach to learning ANYTHING much like me. Outside the comfort zone is my favourite place & like you, having no experience is NO barrier. It's a rare quality that you both have already..... please don't stop. I'd should also add that each time you accomplish something it's wonderful to see how honestly happy you both are. Truly wonderful. You both seem like such a nice, genuine & down to earth couple ;p I might like to add that is is very, very refreshing to see a TH-cam sailing channel that doesn't focus on bikini thumbnails & tits for clicks (sorry, had to be said) KEEP IT UP AND MORE VIDEOS PLEASE! love your work. May the wind fill your sails & the sea carry you gently :)
You’ve binge everything? I’m surprised anyone can put up with us for that long, I annoy myself enough (Zach)😅 We both love getting stuck into new challenges, it’s definitely something we have in common! Thanks for your kind words Mark, it means a lot to us ☺️
I love getting a free ride on the tidal magic carpet, it's like being given free money. Like I thought, Teulu is a real mile eater. I'm afraid it's part of life that when you're just out for a cruise, you get to every tidal passage too early. When you're really trying, every damn tidal gate slams shut in your face. C'est la vie...
I am just so impressed with both of you. Zach is obviously a very kind, decent, and special man. I say this because Becka wouldn't be with him if he wasn't. This is so good. What a great video and congratulations on the crossing. It seems as though your wonderful boat just yawned all the way over and asked, "is this all you've got?"
