Hi..I love your work.just wanted to ask if that gold strip can be straightaway placed on buttercream cake or does the cake have to be covered with fondant?
Hi, am from Peru. I just watched some of your videos and are awesome. That american buttercream u use can be use to fill under fondant and to fill on it without caring if it will melt or not? And last questión, If i used to decorates cakes that will be exposed in the envorimeant, will be good idea or not? thanks!
What a unique design (Of course yours always are :) ) How do you like that pasta roller? I just purchased one for some fondant ruffles, but I haven't used it yet. What a good idea to use the fettuccine to cut your stripes!
lol sometimes I manage to give them away :) other times they stay in my fridge and then end up going to waste because nobody in my house eats cake anymore... mostly my fault. I make too many, for a good cause though! If people are walking away having learned something or having been inspired to create something, then it was never a waste at all. Totally worth it!
Hiii beautifull lady...nice cake love it as always...can i ask you if i want to do my cake with oil ist work??? And what the differnent btween cake with oil and cake with butter...thanks alot
Hi lovely, thank you for your comment :D there are oil based cake recipes out there. I have one here actually: th-cam.com/video/4Iq68MasY0A/w-d-xo.html this is a chocolate based one :) this comes out softer than what a butter cake does. Both of these are great under fondant though, before butter based cakes or mud based cakes, I would just use this to practice with at the beginning.
Hi hun, if you are using fresh flowers, it would honestly depend on the type of flower. Roses I would try to pop into the cake on the day of the event. Carnations and Chrysanthemums on the other hand stay fresh for much longer and can go on the night before. If you do pop flowers into your cake the night before the event, keep your cake refrigerated to help them stay fresh for longer :) but honestly, the general rule is no longer than a day, and if you can, only pop them in the day of the event.
Hi Sharia, with American buttercream you can, although if you try to do this over hybrid buttercream (where it's half butter and half shortening) or over a buttercream that is all shortening, you might find that the colour starts to bead. American buttercream crusts and becomes dry on the outside, so it doesn't repel the paint as much, if any.
I've had issues painting with luster dust. So rose water will give it a thicker consistency than lemon juice? Maybe this has been my issue this whole time?
Hi hun, Rosewater will work better than lemon juice :) I might also mention that sometimes it can come down to the quality of the edible luster dust as well.
Hi Rosie, novice here. Why such a big cake board? I thought it needed to be just bigger than the cake so that when you cover it in buttercream and fondant the board is covered. Thanks Jenna
Hi Jenna, thanks for the comment! It all comes down to personal preference really. Although if the cake is only slightly smaller than the cake board, it does make it a little hard to pick up afterwards. I learned this the hard way haha.
@@Rosiesdessertspot Thank you for the reply. Can't wait to start making cakes. Where in Australia in your go to online store? I'm having a lot of trouble getting supplies shipped to Australia due to the restrictions. I'm in Tasmania if that makes a difference. Thanks Jenna
Hi hun, in this video it would have been a Bakels premix. I do have a scratch vanilla cake recipe here though: th-cam.com/video/mb7dzqxnl0k/w-d-xo.html (I use this as cupcake and also as cake batter)
Hi, Rosie. Your rainbow and gold striped cake looks beautiful and glamorous, just like you. What do you love about the color gold? Have a good day, Rosie.
Hey buddy! Thank you so much :D Ahhh the question is what don't I love about it! It is my favourite colour now haha ;) what do you love about the colour gold?

I love it when people are kind enough to share their help and tips with each other in the comments section. Thank you Samra and Ujala! I worked with many muslim ladies back in the bakery, and they also used white distilled vinegar and lemon juice. It's the acidity that helps the liquid to evaporate faster than water, so it's ideal for painting with dusts.
I'm Asian and I wish you could subtitle everything you say 'cuz your voice seems like you're whispering and i can not hear all of it :D btw. i love all your tutorials
thanks so much for your lovely comment Touria :) I am working on these online classes ;D I do have one at the moment for sharp edges on buttercream cakes plus fondant covering: vimeo.com/ondemand/cakedecorating I will be adding a few more in the next few months x
Why did you put so much butter cream before the fondant ? Why not just one layer ? I really don’t understand how people can eat too much of that !! Too disgusting in my opinion... Can i make juste one layer of butter cream before apply my fondant ? Thank you at anyone can response me !!! (Sorry for my bad english, i’m french lol I say it with my words)
Each tiny dish you create is a masterpiece 😍 The level of craftsmanship is exceptional 👏

Hi Rosie can I create the same airbrush effect with just the buttercream?
