Hi Josh,. I live in Manchester , UK and I am a big fan of Man about Cake. You guys are so funny . i keep raving about you and your crew to my friends. Thank you for the relaxed way you teach. Congratulations to James!
JJR, you did it again! I know how long it takes to create a cake, you make it look so easy, and quick (thanks to your awesome film crew! ) This wedding cake it spectacular. I love all those succulents. Good job!
can i just say how much i appreciate that when JJR asks for smth to be in the infobox/description, the crew says yes and then ACTUALLY PUTS IT IN like omg god bless what a good team
When I worked as a bartender at a reception hall, we were in charge of cutting and portioning out the cake with the servers. We were told to just peel off the fondant and discard it because it wasn't meant for eating. It's edible but a pain to cut and has virtually no flavor except for super sugary so most people don't like it. I must say, I appreciated buttercream cakes much more when I had to cut them up for 100+ people.
I've never been told that it's "too sweet", it usually seems to be just... in the way. And I've been told by some rando on TH-cam that "professionals" use Fondant, and "household bakers" use buttercream. That made me laugh.
Best part? The gloves. Making cake for the show and feeding the staff, who don't seem to mind, he uses his hands. A cake going to the public? Gloves. I'm a fan! Too many cake shows on tv where they're making real cake for the consuming public, and they're touching read to eat food with bare hands.
I actually like it more when it's bare hands ... the chances of people washing their hands more while cooking compared to changing their gloves while cooking are higher in my head... somehow the gloves seem kinda pointless because you do handle your knives, tools, open the fridge, use the starch/flower shakers, etc ... or am i maybe missing something?
Nah. I watched a channel where it was a similar situation, host talking to the mysterious unseen camera man. I saw a picture of him, and even with most of his face blacked out, but it ruined my image of him
Omg this is absolutely beautiful . Whoever would have thought succulent wedding cake would have been so beautiful . But leave it up to the master of cake designs and he can make any gorgeous .
i love succulents, i actually have succulent garden. cake is beautiful, couldve just added a hint of violet on the tips and on the inside part of each leaf
Gorgeous! Can you make a cake for a girls Christening? Or to be more simple, you could make half for a girl, half for a boy. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I love how you care about flavors while you do these extravagant cake, I see so many cake-artist shows that just don't care about anything besides the outside wow factor appearance and I appreciate the small things like that amazingly moist looking thin slices of cake filled with maple buttercream layers 😍
Sumbrela, I am sorry hun I don’t know where it is now, it was right at the start of MAC. When I signed up to craftsy. That was like 2 years ago. Sorry hun xx
Some of his cake recipes are vegan but, I don't know if he's ever made a fully vegan cake because he always uses buttercream or some non-vegan frosting. I made my own wedding cake using his chocolate cake recipe and a vegan chocolate ganache. My husband is also vegan so all our food at the wedding was vegan.
Lowkey Fan if you are making a cake that will be consumed by the public, you SHOULD wear gloves. Even if you wash your hands 100 times, your skin releases oils and sweat. I personally don't want to eat someone's oils and sweat 💩
TheCassy2012 Then you don’t eat at restaurants? Or enjoy cookies a friend or coworker baked? Might as well not breathe. There’s skin and dirt floating around in the air, after all. Gloves tend to be worse for food handling in real life application as people don’t remember to change their gloves as often as they remember to wash their hands.
Laria28 what do you mean about restaurants? Any restaurant that has any clue what they’re doing wears gloves. I’m servSafe certified and gloves are a must for any ready to eat food aka food that isn’t going to be cooked before it’s served. He’s being professional.
Whoever your makeup artist is, they need to bring the foundation down onto your neck or match your foundation to your neck! A beard isn't an excuse to poorly match foundation.

Hi Josh,. I live in Manchester , UK and I am a big fan of Man about Cake. You guys are so funny . i keep raving about you and your crew to my friends. Thank you for the relaxed way you teach. Congratulations to James!

"Let's cut it!"
" NO NO NO NO NO!!"
😂😂😂 Hilarious!
JJR, you did it again! I know how long it takes to create a cake, you make it look so easy, and quick (thanks to your awesome film crew! ) This wedding cake it spectacular. I love all those succulents. Good job!
Congrats James!!! Hope you and Rochelle all the happiness in the world. 💕

Congratulations to Wedding Cake from Rochelle and James!!! 🎂💙
Does anyone actually eat Fondant? I have asked dozens of people and none of them actually eat it, they usually peel it off and leave it aside.
Isn't it too sweet?
Fondant it's not something u can eat a lot of it
So that's why most people peal it off
Cuz it's too sweet
Yes, I do but it's usually too sweet for most people.

“My mom doesn’t even know there is a show” ☹️ haha
My mom doesn't even know there is a youtube..
Thats sad
😂😂😂

Uridien 1 I actually really appreciated the fact he wore gloves too
It was the first thing I noticed☺
I actually like it more when it's bare hands ... the chances of people washing their hands more while cooking compared to changing their gloves while cooking are higher in my head... somehow the gloves seem kinda pointless because you do handle your knives, tools, open the fridge, use the starch/flower shakers, etc ... or am i maybe missing something?
It's hard to decorate a cake with gloves. And you never change them as often as you should, i.e. after every time you touch something that isn't food.
I'm not a fan of the gloves, either. People never change gloves as often as they would wash their hands after touching things not food.
Congratulations James and Rochelle!!!
I think this may be my favorite design ya'll have done so far. I love the show! Keep up the great work!!
The cake turned out amazingly. So much detail.
I'm making my own wedding cake and it's marble and succulents, this is really helpful!

So nice of you for making James wedding cake. But too bad he didn't let us see his face. We were hoping to match the voice to a real face.

Who knew a cake would make me tear up a bit? Congrats on the wedding James and Rochelle. Loving the yellow on your face! 😂

Joshua, why weren't you able to go to the wedding?
yeah, didnt they invite you, not nice
I wondered as well :(
Cameo Clinton I'm sure he was invited. Something probably came up.
the passion when he talk about cake brings happy tears to my face
Why is his face blurred out? Witness Protection?
Jarrad Johnson sam3 with brandon
Josh cant have them stealing his shot
All three of them always have their face blurred. I'm pretty sure the want privacy?
I mean, I'm just saying, but there's probably a reason they decided to choose a career behind the camera
Im a huge fan of your work.. always super clean and better! Thank you for sharing your talent.
They have shown faces before just not on the video but on a separate craftsy extra they did a meet the crew x
Kelsey Denness link please

One of the coolest cakes I've ever seen!
The details on the cake, the colors chosen for the cake, and the aesthetic background 😍 😍 😍
can you do a collab with yolanda gamp from how to cake it? I think it would be a great combo
Abby Yuan yaaaaaaaaasssssss!!!!!!
Velocifish- sorry just thought it was a good idea. I didn't know people were spamming it
Abby Yuan Yes!
Yeah, didn’t know either. I follow both channels and they make me feel like I can bake anything!
Jade parker- I KNOW!! Yo's cakes are so realistic and Joshua's cakes are so detailed. I love both of their channels!
Congrats James I’m so happy for you
Have you ever made a vegan cake
Madina Muhammad he's said his cakes were vegan, I thought.
cookie monsters wife really that’s cool if they are my husband is vegan
Some of his cake recipes are vegan but, I don't know if he's ever made a fully vegan cake because he always uses buttercream or some non-vegan frosting. I made my own wedding cake using his chocolate cake recipe and a vegan chocolate ganache. My husband is also vegan so all our food at the wedding was vegan.
elines acevedo that’s really cool
You guys are so sweet 😍 Congratulations to James and Rochelle! Also, i adore the cake, one of the most beautiful in this show ❤❤
I liked all the details before you painted them gold.
Kyla Fuller good thing it’s not your cake ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The most underappreciated dessert channel. This channel deserves love.
you can make a crying onion cake.. but no frank the tank cake? triggered
Cutting those straws has such a satisfying sound 😍
It’s so weird watching someone make a cake with gloves.

Lexi Baiz I know a lot of patisseries that doesn’t use gloves in making their desserts. Idk. Maybe I’m just used on seeing them not use gloves.
its like you dont know the experince of making a special cake for someone
have you ever been to a bakery :{
Beautiful Cake Congrats to Rochelle & James
Why don't y'all want us to see his face?
Darnina Coleman I wonder that too
Privacy most probably
This is amazing and I totally want more of these a week

Congratulations, James and Best Wishes Rochelle!
