  • Ok, so my expectations were wildly exceeded by these decal strips! Not to mention how easy it was to use with the builder gel, and what an amazing outcome I got! I swear these look like a $100 set from a salon for under $20 at home in under 30 minutes. I mean, can we really ask for more?

    I’m so glad I came across your channel‼️🥰. I have a drawer full of them, thanks to my Sister (she passed away 2years ago now) because she loved using them! She bought me some because I usually don’t get my nail’s done because of my work (Chef). But I will DEFINITELY be trying this method out because I will be able to change them in honor of my Sister🤗❤️😔❤️

      If you find that the strips don't stick due to old age, try wiping the inside down with some acetone.

    It’s best to wear Dashing Diva for 5days first. Make sure you push your cuticles back super far. Use a 100 grit and a dehydrator or rubbing alcohol, then apply the wrap super close in the cuticle area so after a week the out grow is at a good spot Then add gel to prevent the edge lift Ian’s hair catching. There really is no need for a gel when Seche Vite top coat is extremely fast drying and it’s equivalent to a gel. Dashing Diva lasted 3months on my slow growing nails! 3months. I used a polish that matched and once I even used a glitter to add a cuticle smile on the outgrow. If you polish off the cuticle area w a qtip a bit and then wash some dishes they come off super easy.

      Hi, I did give it a try but the wraps I had started to break up. They were past there best so resorted to 5D stickers. First time using them and I’m impressed! When I next get wraps I will remember your method. I used a thin layer of gel foil glue, once painted and cured, which makes sure they are stuck down then top coat. I suppose you could use a thin coat of builder like you do for extra life. I think I will do that today and top coat actually 💡🤔 Thank you for your suggestion 💅🏻

    This looks beautiful. I’m really going to try this with my mail polish strips. What top coat would you recommend using for nail polish strips and regular polish that is not gel that doesn’t cause shrinkage. I seem to have the perfect manicure and then I use my topcoat(I’ve tried several because I love the shiny gel look) and then I notice my polish has shrunk all around my cuticles and tip of my nails. It’s so discouraging. Do you have any advice?

    • @AmberRileysLife

      Yes! Maniology has a no smudge topcoat that is safe to use on top of decals and even stamping and will not smudge or shrink your nail art! I just love it. I use it in some of my newer stamping videos if you want to see how it applies. Ok love this. I never heard of builder gel before? I actually am familiar with "Color Street", I'm gonna be honest it's WAY TO EXPENSIVE! Color Street is supposed to last "up to" 14 day's. Ha not for me I can barely get them to look good for 4 day's! I do everything right by the way, during the application of Color Street! I prep and clean my nails and still after 3-4 day's they crack and start to lift on bottom edges! I even put on a top coat to protect the color street! So as you can imagine I scoured the internet looking for cheaper alternatives, that still give a great result and LAST! I found Dashing Diva and Ohora, but Ohora is still to expensive. I have not tried the Dashing Diva polish strip yet, because Dashing Diva so far by looking at it, is much smaller than color street. That's fine if you got petite nail beds and not so long nails. My natural nails are long and I like them that way. I am hoping like other nail polish strips, Dashing Diva can be gently pulled to widen and lengthen. Thank you for this video.

    Awesome! I have the same lamp too! I tried this for the first time and I get some lifting (if I poke at it) but not a lot. Any idea why that might be? I actually use DDs base polish before I apply the strip and then I do the same process you did. I do try to cap my edges but my nails are super short! Any recommendations? I still have the same set now, would it be possible to cap them now instead of starting over? ☺️

      Oh yea! Gel is so adaptable. In my experience I've painted over a top coat and have sealed my nails. Right now I just have builder base with clear dip powder cured with the gel method then buffed. I'll wear them like that for a few days and then I'll put on gel base, polish and top coat! You can even buff your top coat off a bit and then do a fresh top coat and cap your edges. Let me know how it goes!

    I have the builder gel and top coat. I applied one coat of the builder gel to my natural nails and it just wouldn't dry down. I even put my hand under the UV lamp and it stayed very tacky. Is the normal?

      Checkout my Playlist on the dashing diva nail guards. They are basically a strip you lay down before you do your nails and then they just lift up and peel off so you don't have to soak off or deal with unpredictable peel base! I love them under dip powder.

      I have not! Is that their polish? I'll have to look into that. But I have tried many gel polish brands and almost exclusively use the aimeli builder base and top coat and it pairs with all products beautifully. This has been my go to set since I stumbled upon it on Amazon!

    I don't have very long nails...yes I'm a nail biter and they're down to the nubs. Could I do press on nails and then use the builder gel over the dashing diva nail strips on the fake press on nail?? And use a top coat? I plan on getting Daily Charme Essential Kit to apply the nails....or should I just apply the builder gel to my horribly short nails and say who cares?

    • @AmberRileysLife
      @AmberRileysLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both options are good! If you want to rock long nails you can use it over the extensions. Or if you want to rock shorties... The builder gel will give you some added strength to your natural nail! ❤️❤️

    Hi, I just read through all the questions to see if anyone else asked this ... I know you said to use the builder gel base coat first and wipe off the tacky with alcohol, do you have to cure first and then wipe off the tackiness? Probably a dumb question but I want to be sure! Thanks, great video!

    • @AmberRileysLife
      @AmberRileysLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes cure first and then leave the tacky layer or wipe off depending on what works best for your application. I like a smooth surface (wipe off with alcohol) for decals and I like to leave the sticky surface if I'm going in with gel or dip powder. Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions!
