Hi Lucy, I really enjoy your videos on nail strips. IMO, you do a great job! I wanted to share a trick I learned for the glaze strips from another DD user. After applying the nail strips hit with a blow dryer for 15 seconds before curing. I have been using this tip for months and have great success with no lifting. I do not top coat my DD stickers. Just wanted to share. Thanks for the great video tutorials. Mindy
This video is very helpful. I’m hesitant to try Glow because Glaze was so horrible for me. Gloss is my absolute favorite, but I agree, the selection is limited. I often go to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and Ulta for more designs and they are typically much cheaper.
I liked Glow way less than Glaze… I’d probably skip glow altogether. I agree that Gloss is great. It does expire though! I’ve had some sets get kind of tacky to the touch (on the surface that’s not supposed to be sticky). I only buy what I plan on using up right away.
Omg I had no idea that could happen. I’ve had 1 set get stuck together, but I assumed that it was from storing them facing each other close to a window (they may have melted together, no idea). I should probably stop hoarding them then 😅 I have about 15 sets right now. Thanks for the tip ❤
@lindseyjordan1226 yup! I had one that felt weirdly soft but I still applied and did a top coat. It all fell off THAT DAY. Then I went back through some of my leftover gloss that was stored in the dark in cool temp - sets that I knew weren’t soft or tacky when I used them. And they were tacky to the touch!! So I had to toss a lot.
Base coat always affects longevity of wear for me, and it’s an extra step I don’t care to perform (plus then I would have to use remover to get it all off). Other nail stickers hide mine just fine, so for me it’s easier to use another sticker. Sometimes I lightly buff the ridges (I don’t think mine are horrible), but this time I wanted to fully test their marketing claim.
I have a question. I have just used the semi cured gel strips foe the first time earlier in the week. My nails were already the shape and length i wanted. After trimming the excess, it left half a mm of my natural nail exposed at the edge. How do i apply without the edge of my nail poking out? Xxx
Probably trim the sticker less or do what I do and leave your nails longer than desired and then file the sticker and the nail together. That’s usually the easiest
Hi Lucy I love all your nail videos! ❤ I was just wondering why you prefer the bigger lamp over the free one from Dashing Diva? Do you think it cures the gel polish better?
A few reasons: 1. Yes I think it generally cures faster and better (but that’s more of a gut feeling vs anything backed by data with my specific lamp) 2. I can fit my whole hand under it and don’t have to do thumbs separately 3. I can fit my foot in there easier (doesn’t come up often, but I do occasionally use strips on feet) 4. I like the bottom - it’s removable and contains potential messes 5. A long cord! Yes you could get a longer cord for the tiny lamps but I like the very long one my big lamp comes with. I think if someone is just starting out and doesn’t know if they will stick with this type of manicure, the small free lamps are ok. I had a small one for years when first starting out.
Oh and also my lamp is curved with lights all around so I don’t have to worry about sides of the nails not curing as well as the middles / tops, especially on thumbs and pinkies.
Thank you so much for responding! I never thought about the fact that the free one isn't curved. Do you have an opinion on the bigger one Dashing Diva sells? I believe it's called the Pro something.

That is SO INTERESTING and I’ve never heard of that. Thanks so much!!! I will definitely try it.

That’s crazy, I’m sorry you had to get rid of some :( it’s gonna take everything in me to not buy more LOL.
@lindseyjordan1226 I can totally relate, especially when I see a good deal at TJ maxx or on the dashing diva site!!
Great video as always, thank you, Lucy. I have a horrible ridges as well and wondering if using a ridge filling base coat would help?

Love it I am new what strips I should use for mani and pedi so I don’t have to cure them
Dashing diva gloss.
I really like your tutorials 🎉
Thank you! 🩵
I live there they work great I have then

@kanderson1425 I haven’t tried it so not sure if it’s any good.
Can you remind me which one you use or recommend if I'm wanting a bigger one please
My nails are so thick and hard that the nail scissors cannot cut through them. Have to use the file method to get rid of excess sticker.
You can still use scissors and only cut the sticker, not the nail. But filing works too. Sounds like your nails are nice and strong!
How longdid they last
I took them off because I couldn’t stand how they made my nails look. Highlighted every single ridge. Not my favorite formula.
Why do my dashing diva glaze not get hard like videos I see. I used their light
Not enough rounds or light not strong enough. Hard to tell. I use a bigger light.
What light do u use
I have my old one from the time I sold nails. It’s not made anymore as far as I know.
I didn’t know you needed a gel top coat. I ordered these and the light came free. But the website said nothing about a top coat and now I’m mad. 😅
It’s not required. Glow doesn’t need a light either.
How do you remove this type of application?
Here’s a step by step: th-cam.com/video/VubY9oOw7r0/w-d-xo.html
Is the a topcoat you can recommend that doesn’t require curing?
I only use the one that need to be cured @saintsofclair
I thought these didn’t need a lamp
They don’t. Did you watch the whole video?
i thought that was supposed to be a no cure product
That’s correct. I like using a cured top coat on all my stickers to prolong wear and make them look better.
She didn't follow the steps. Probably don't last her more than a day.
Which steps didn’t I follow?
They do not ship internationally 🥲😭😭
No big loss on the glow variety specifically 🤭🤭
