I don't think your 2 day recall fix and loaner issue is a "Brand" issue. It appears to me that you have a "dealer" problem. I am not sure if you have the same recall as mine where all it is, is a software update they can't do over the air. That update takes a few hours to do MAX. The reason your dealer is telling you 2 days is that they want your truck sitting there so that when it's convenient to them, they will work on it. My dealer actually reserves a time slot where a technician is assigned and reserved for my truck. That same recall just took a morning for them to complete. In other words, your dealer doesn't seem to care about your problems, they care about themselves. I've also always got a loaner and/or they paid for a rental when I brought my truck in for any warranty work. Even got one for just that morning. Again, your dealer appears not to care about customer service. You are not tied to dealer you bought the truck from. I am not sure if this is just how all the dealers work in your area but I would recommend shopping your service around to other dealers and see what they do. If they support you better, I would buy from your new dealer next time.
just another reason to not use EV. If you can't self-repair, it isn't worth buying in the first place. software updates are child level of easy to perform, yet none of them will let you do it.
@@zarroth I've got some news for you. software is not exclusive to EV's. I own a business and have a fleet of trucks from the lightning, to ICE f150s to Diesel F450. All of our newer trucks have software that needs updating. Our lightning actually has the least downtime. There is really nothing mechanically to fix. It's two sealed up electric motors and a battery. Not much to go wrong. 99% of the software gets updated over the air with no intervention from the owner. Other than the one update they needed the truck at dealer service one morning, it's never been out of commission. No down time wasted on oil changes, no time wasted at gas stations. Just bring it in at the end of the day, plug it in and start full in the morning. We will definitely be adding more to our fleet. Great powerful trucks and super cheap to operate.
