Mr. Erdman was my trombone teacher in the 80s. My dad made custom mouthpieces for him, but this isn't one of them. I don't know what it is. I haven't played in 30 plus years.

Keep in mind he was 72 when he performed this after playing professionally for 55 years. I'm surprised that he still performs. What a fall from grace.
