The second movement really makes you move emotionally, even if you listened to this piece hundreds of times. I hope I'll play David as good when I'll be a professional!

Better than every recording on Spotify, so I uploaded it to my local files to listen to in the car with no ads. Currently working on this piece for a potential performance in the beginning of 2024, I love being able to see the many different interpretations of this masterful piece, but this interpretation is by far my favorite. While being a monster-fully technical piece, this recording doesn’t make it sound like positions on a paper, it makes it sound like MUSIC. That is what I hope to achieve in the future. Thank you Michael for all of the inspiration you have given me, as well as everyone else in this comment section and the trombone world. We all hope to catch up to you one day! ❤

Alessi plays a lot of wrong rhythms and kind of disregards the style of the piece. Now, it sounds great because it’s Alessi. But… this performance is far more stylistically accurate and beautifully played.

After this concert was deleted from TH-cam for some reason, I told myself that it was one of the best performances with the best dynamics and best interpretation in solo and orchestra deleted from TH-cam but today I am happy to listen to this concert again.

Interesting observation. I always thought it was a bit close. Technically, this concerto is one of the most difficult for trombone among the traditional pieces. Well observed.

Ron Prussing played this really well. This performance is good, but l wanted more from it.

今まで色んな人の沢山のダヴィッドを聴いてきたけど、この人の演奏は本当に技術うんぬんを超えた音楽をしている様に聞こえた。
世界的に伝説的なプレーヤーは沢山いるけど、こんなに音楽をしている人が居たかな？と思った。
プロの方々の演奏は「すげぇ！」と思えるけどここまで行くと「えぇなぁ。。。」と溜息が出る様な言葉が出てくる。
そんな演奏を聞く事が出来て同じトロンボーン吹きとしてとても幸せに思えました。
