Hell yeah, man. It looks like it turned out great. You said "Why not?" about the capacitor. Unfortunately, I can give you a reason. Those old school caps like you have don't really work. I've ran lots and lots of them, but that was back in the day. Before we knew they could actually do more harm than good, by adding resistance. Some people a lot smarter than me tested a bunch of them. In no case did they help. In many cases they hurt. Now there are super caps and lithium batteries. I'm sure you know this, but I just wanted to comment on that. Great job on the system.
Nice setup bro really nice electrical too🔥 but I’ve heard 80% of bassheads say compacitors are useless so you should sell that off and replace it with another agm sealed battery 🔥🔥
It's been such an argued topic in the years I've been doing car audio, some guys will fight to the death that they're beneficial. I've never been sold on them being worth it but it was like 60 bucks so I said why not?
Interesting I had one 10 inch subwoofer pushing 2000 W RMS. There was no need to do the big three upgrade for that but to each their own I’m about to run to avatar 12s in my suburban and I have to do the three upgrades and add batteries. No capacitors can go in there. Have done any upgrades since then?
great job on your woofer box, but quick advise adjust your HPF a lil on your mids they are getting too much bass and will torn quicker than they should! Keep the hard work
Dude, that's REALLY cool and impressive! Can't wait to experience that amazing sonic delivery of tha bass! The tweeters and mids too! Amazing man, feel proud as you should. Fuh reals cool man
I highly recommend looking into supercaps like maxwell or the ioxus ultracap uc-31. Youll get 300 farads in the ioxus an 500+ in tje maxwell bank. Those beer can volt meters dont do amytjing. They're snake oil. Not tryna hate bro love the set up an the box came out amazing!! Just ditch that Rockford cap. Its useless. Promise you tske it out you womt notice anything at all. The fact you got a mechman alt deff invest in a bank of ultra caps. I promise.yiu itll stabilize your voltage an wake yiur system up in a way not even 2 new xs power AGMs could ever do you for you. I use to have a Pyle 5 farad cap. It looked cool. Didmt do shit for me. Keep the content coming!!!
Why? A subwoofer isn't really meant to play midbass frequency. That's why there's midbass drivers. While you could play into those frequencies, why would you want to do so.
I agree 100%. That box is a waste of time, material, and space. A ported box built to the suggested volume and tuning would've had a better band width, higher spl, better sq, and it would be a lot smaller
@@chichidouglas5078 lol... who's using subwoofers as mid bass drivers? They're ULF drivers, for a reason. A ported enclosure is good for a few reasons only.. reducing excursion and audible distortion at or around the tuning frequency. Increasing output around the port tuning... but I wouldn't say a ported enclosure has a "better" bandwidth at all. The drawbacks to a ported alignment, is the loss of cone control below tuning. With that loss of cone control, you begin to exceed the xmax rapidly and can lead to mechanical failures. You get unwanted audible tones in the mid and upper range, resonating from the enclosure and projected through the port. Also, ported enclosures sound muddy and less accurate at times, due to the resonance of the port tuning, being out of phase with the driver. There are drawbacks and benefits of every type of enclosure. If there was a "one size fits all" for enclosures...there wouldn't be a vast array of designs. Enclosure design is a personal preference, of what the end user is looking to achieve and what that driver works best in. With utilizing the overall "Q" of the driver, it will dictate the motor force, and ultimately decide what type of enclosure the driver will work best in. And as far as sound quality goes...that's a subjective matter and is of the opinion of the listener. But, my point is and was, that most all do not use their subwoofers as a mid bass. And I know.....overlap and all that jazz. I actually keep my low pass all the way up on the amp, and use my dsp. A properly designed and built bandpass, can have an excellent and broad bandwidth, that is able to pick right up in tuning, where one port tune drops off and vice versa.
@nob.saudio5915 I read that exact explanation of a ported enclosure years ago, and it's still easy to find, obviously since you just copied every word of it
Hey goodnight bro I an from trinidad and Tobago and I will like to know if you can help me design a 6 order bandpass for 4 15inch avatar stu? 30hz to 60hz
Learning how to use WinISD is your best bet. Find the T/S parameters for your sub and create a sub in the program. It takes a lot of work to find what you want. You might find 30hz 60hz won't even get you what you want.
That’s great! It’s too bad that you had to rent that dolly. I would have helped you lift it. I have my own dolly that I got at a garage sale. Can I have a can of coke? ✌️

Shame you never learned what they are actually for
@@KnowName33 What? Old school caps? Please enlighten me on what "they are actually for"
I just posted the same comment and then scroll down then see yours 😂 he should sell the capacitor and get more lithium 🔥
The frequency response is going to change......a lot, once it is in the car.
so glad that i saw you use that 4 ch since i JUST bought it and was just going off box specs/ so happy...... TYSM

Very nice job. Curious what it sounds like in person. Bet its awsome

That's some serious bass head dedication building an enclosure upstairs in a tiny apartment
Respect to you & 🚙🔊🔊🔊💨💨💨bass on

Bass is kind of boomy. My dream setup is a 4th order band pass 4 10s sealed 120 to 40 hertz clean power 2 1000w amp 2ch 500w each sub.
build one that goes up to 100hz relatively smoothly, or at least 80 90 ish, but still hits lows

@nob.saudio5915 80-100 hz. is a good crossover point. A steep roll of at 70 is horrible

Can I ask who can make them
Are those the sa's ???
In 20plus years of making boxes. I’ve used a router maybe 6 times
It’s been AT LEAST 2 years since I’ve used my router
Just not needed
Ditch the cap and get a battery in there or super caps.
Go talk to some home audio guys and learn how caps are used
That box is going to smoke those subs
