Veganism destroyed my gut flora to a point where I avoid a lot of social venues, traveling and even going to work for longer than 4 hours. Also, despite my veganism, I developed Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Yes, I'm bashing vehanism. But did I used to BELIEVE in veganism. I BELIEVED it was the right diet, I believed that people who weren't vegans were misguided souls. So, kids, if you don't want to have to fart 200 times a day (this is no exaggeration) and have to crap up to 15 times a day, stay away from veganism. It ruined me.
I am not vegan, i'm a meat eater. Maybe you are taking medicines like antibiotics or eating unhealthy foods like some nuts or common allergy foods, and even some fruits with high sugar content. I suspect you took medicines and chemicals. I know this because i experience it myself i have allergies and i cannot go out much often. My social life now is zero and i am a meat eater. So i don't believe it's the vegan diet. Being Vegan doesn't mean automatically healthy.
@@roycates8026 No i am not really vegan, i do it for health reasons but i still eat meat sometimes. I mean maybe she/he took some medicines that can trigger allergies and autoimmune diseases. Some fruits and vegetables can trigger allergies also.
They can't because they think their diet is an IDENTITY. The fact that you call them "vegans" illustrates this problem. People are post religion but are still very well-trained in the religious system of thought. Judgement and holier than thou attitudes are deeply ingrained thought and emotional patterns. Not eating meat has been turned into a judgement system. Very sad but such is the state of things.....
Hi there, I would like to begin by stating that i am in favour of 'free will', i must state that cause does always produce an effect. Bypassing all processed, refined and factory meat alternative products that people go for and are not as nourishing, a well-planned, organic, unrefined and untempered with raw vegan diet (so as not to denature or destroy life-forces and enzymatic activities beneficial to the system) is the best diet to nourish the complex machinery that we call the human body as it maximizes nutrient intake and puts mankind in the primary or direct position to be benefited thereby as opposed to a secondary position, animal flesh eating. Even if it means little changes here and there, i would encourage one to take that approach as animal protein is nearly the cause of many diseases (e.g mad cow disease and tuberculosis) which are on the rise. I do not even see the need to use pharmaceutical drugs e.g Vitamin D (exception of it being made and stored for future use by the body when exposed to the sun) is obtainable by consuming organic chestnut mushrooms and sun-dried mushrooms; iron from organic beets; calcium from organic broccoli; potassium and magnesium from organic bananas etc. Furthermore, mankind has canines that cannot bite through raw flesh, thus one has to cook it, proving that it is contrary to the way things ought to go. Whilst less nutrients, minerals and diseases are passed onto a meat eater in a secondary position, cooking methods make it even worse as they are known to destroy life-forces and enzymatic activities, and i believe it is next to hopeless for meat eaters to truly be well nourished, especially in our day and age wherein animal diets are also impoverished. Consider the Book Of Nature too that shades light on this matter too e.g organic walnuts and pecans (look like the brain and targets it, for instance, contains Omega 3 Fatty Acids needful for brain health maintenance); kidney beans (looks like kidneys and targets them); carrots (when cut, looks like eyes and targets them); tomatoes (looks like cardiac muscles and targets them); artichoke (looks like hips and targets them); celery stalks (looks like bones and targets it); and so on and so forth. Best wishes 💙💙💙
It seems like there's a 10-year-wall the vast majority of vegans hit. I have heard of/know very few vegans who made it past a decade before their body was in full rebellion.
i've heard of aging, so have you and so has your mother and mine, as well as everyone else. anyway, i'm speaking based on who i know and the vegans' in my family experiences. im young, i was a young teen when i started to be vegan. i was healthy and lively. my doctors were always impressed with my health. i went vegan for six years, because of ethical reasons and i suffered. i watched my health get so bad and i tried everything to get it back. i started eating meat a year ago and more than half of my issues are gone.
and thats okay! i wish you all the good health! its a very scary thing to be a teenager and watching ur health slip right before your eyes. im 20 now, but i dont know what could've happen to me if i hadn't eaten meat again. i don't support the torture of animals and i try to buy as ethical as possible. im pretty sure genetics and cultural background/ancestry plays a BIG part in whether diets are compatible or not with our bodies.
Every time I hear someone talking about: I decided to eat clean, or, Listen to your body, or, We're all different, or, I went vegan for my health, I know he or she has not studied nutrition. I study paleoanthropology, the study of human origins. The great value here is paleoanthropology shows us the foods our ancestors evolved to eat. With the caveat that their diets are a starting point, as the world we live in is much more complicated than ice age Europe. Our ancestors evolved from one of the many species of gracile (slim) australopithecines 2.6 million years ago. They went from eating meat occasionally, to eating much more fat and meat. As a result, they grew taller, they used and made simple stone tools, and their brain size increased by a third! Then 1.7 million years ago, a new ancestor, Homo Erectus, tamed fire and they started cooking meat! They grew taller, they became distance runners, and their brain size increased by a whopping 42 percent! The largest increase in our history. There is an excellent book about this, Cathing Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human, by Professor Richard Wrangham. And there is a BBC documentary: Did Cooking Make Us Human? We only began eating grains around 10,000 years ago, and we're not well adapted to eating grains. There's not much nutrition in grains either. When people began eating grains, their average height dropped by 6 inches, plus they had lots of bone spurs and arthritis, from the repetitive, grinding work of preparing grains. Plus their average brain size shrank! For Caucasians, compared to our stone age ancestors in Europe 20,000 years ago, the average brain size is now 150 cubic centimeters SMALLER. John Hawkes has a video on You Tube about shrinking brain sizes. The diet we evolved to eat is a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate diet. We need fats that are 20 and 22 carbon atoms long. The best you can get from plants are fats that are only 18 carbon atoms long. We can convert fats that are 18 carbon atoms long, but we are rubbish at it. Gorillas have a fermentation chamber kind of extra stomach, which converts the fats in the leaves they eat. It looks like gorillas are eating a high carbohydrate diet, with lots of leaves. But it's really a high fat diet. It's the same with the ruminants, like cows and antelopes. They eat plants, but their digestive systems converts the fats to longer chain fats. We can not get Vitamin A from plants. We can get beta carotene from plants, but it's tough to get enough to make sufficient Vitamin A, and some people are just bad at making the conversion. We can't get enough Vitamin B-12 from plants, and B-12 is essential for your nervous system. The book Catching Fire mentions a study of raw food vegans done in Germany by Professor Geisser. He discovered that half the women could not have babies, because they got so little nutrition from their raw, all plants diet. So much for the idea that we're supposed to be a vegetarian species. So eats lots of high fat meat! Grass fed beef is excellent! I always get a happy mood boost when I eat grass fed beef! Plus the cows are treated well. The cows from conventional factory farms are treated miserably. They live in small pens. They don't see the sunlight. They're shot up with hormones and anti-biotics. Eating fat does not make you fat. Gaining and losing fat is governed by hormones, which are chemical messengers. Eating sugar and grains makes your insulin spike, and insulin converts the extra sugar into body fat, and stores it away in your fat cells. Fat in your food does not spike insulin. Your digestive system does not store fat in your diet as body fat, contrary to what you have often heard. I go to the local farmers market and the health food stores. With the farmers market, I can actually chat with the people who grow the food! Plus I'm helping to support good people. Happy Trails!
Anthony Starfield yes whilst they might have an amazing life but in the end they are killed.. and I currently eat meat and plants and stuff I still suffer from B12 deficiency and low iron. So it really depends on the persons body and stuff.
I went vegetarian for a few months and almost died. I wanted to do it for health and ethical reasons. However within months my hair started falling out in clumps. My menstrual cycles became 15 days long, my nails became soft and bendable. I started having heart palpitations, extreme tiredness and dizzy spells. I went to the doctor and was told I had severe anemia. Still I stuck to my diet by eating more green vegetables, taking iron pills and iron enriched foods. However I couldn't get levels up. Finally I found out I had a genetic condition that causes my iron to naturally run low. My doctor advised me to come off the diet. I could not get enough iron from my it. Even eating meat, I still struggle with my iron levels. They are supposed to be at 11, I'm a 8, but when I was vegetarian I slipped to a 6. I shared all of this to say that you have to do what is right for your body. You should not ignore what it is saying to you. I loved being on my old diet. I liked the idea of causing no harm, loved the fact I felt calm and in line with the universe and I was eating more veggies and fruits. However my body's needs don't fit in to that way of eating. Again you must always listen to your body and not ignore its warning signs. Needs change...
@@llanowar4 I run low even with supplements. Please research thalassemia alph trait for more information. Between the trait and my fibroids it is extremely difficult to keep my iron levels up on supplements alone. If you have vegan solutions for this I am open to hearing them. I have nothing against veganism. The point of my post was to educate others that not everyone's body can handle the demands of vegetarianism or veganism. A person has to do what's best to keep him or herself in optimal health.
i went vegan for 4 yrs and it messed up my hormones, thyroid, and digestion. My leaky gut got worse as well. Its not for everyone and its too high in carbs!
infinitea I completely agree! It did all those things for me too :( I think the vegan diet has it's place and like you said, it's not for everyone! My body can't handle all the carbs!!!!
you don't have to eat a high carb diet if you're vegan. i'm vegan and i eat a balanced diet of protein carbs and fats. personally, i prefer a higher fat vegan diet for hormone regulation etc.
Bree Hewitt you're absolutely right and I eat tonnes of fat! 😊😊 But like I said in the video, all I knew was oh she glows cookbook that I followed and all the grains and carbs really hurt my body :( I have a hard time digesting grain and beans and I ate a lot of them during that time which threw oeveryrhing off for me :(
sheena millien we did balance :) I atleast, had tonnes of salads and all that, but your protein comes from carbs especially legumes which wreaked havoc on my body. Plus too much fruit hurts your liver and feeds candida if you have it so all around, it was too hard on my body, personally 😊
sheena millien Yes legumes is what I was eating and they contain lectins and phytic acid which hurts the gut. And seeds aren't a good idea if you have IBS or leaky gut as they iritate the bowels. So like is aid in the video, vegan lifestyle is good for some people, but not all. I am vegetarian now, so I have more options which helped me heal my gut, kill candida, fix my thyroid and clear my psoriasis :) I exercise everyday 😁 and drink look ads if water and herbal teas. It really depends on the person. Like I said, being vegan is a GREAT option for some people... but not everyone.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. This is really great for me (and others I'm sure) to hear because I'm experiencing something similar and its such a blessing to have a guide through all of this!
I bet all vegans fail their diets from time to time, consciously or not. We are omnivores, there is no way around it. I myself went vegan for 1 year. In the beginning I was feeling great, towards the end, not so much.
you did something wrong with your diet - not enough calories, not enough nutrients. Easy to fix when you know - thats why blood tests are good to be done ;)
@@llanowar4 You cant do vegan diets right. It isnt an ideal diet for humans, it lacks certain nutrients like iron and thiamine . without iron, you develop anemia and without thiamine you can develop brain damage. Of course you can do supplements, but it isnt natural and the nutrients you get from supplements are not high quality. vegetarian is healthy because you can get Thiamine and iron from dairy and eggs but vegan doesnt have those nutrients.
Just stopped being vegan after 4 years today! Different diets are good for different people. My biggest problem is the lack of healthy fats in a vegan diet, it's all carbs, carbs carbs! So overall I've gained about 2 stone in that 4 years and struggled to get rid of it unless I starve myself and eat just green vegetables. Which just isn't viable, we're omnivorous for a reason. Vegans eat algae for omega 3s, that's not natural, along with the poor absorption amongst other nutrients. It's too difficult to do a high protein, high fat, low carb diet on vegan food. Due to all the carbs I ended up getting fatty liver and fatty pancreas. This is becoming increasingly common among Western vegans. But with ethical vegans you can't reason that because they view animal lives as equal to humans so regardless of facts they'll struggle to accept that.
This is exactly what I have been going through! At my best is when I was on the Mediterranean diet. Grilled chicken, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish and nuts. Red meat twice a month. This is the diet I feel has worked best for me and my body. Tomorrow I am going to get a chicken salad from chix fil a and it is going to be so delicious! This will be the first time I’ve ate chicken in 4 years! I cannot wait! Thank you for the inspiration! Vegan or vegetarian based diets did not work for me but it may work for others. I felt dizzy weak and tired day in and out.
One of the first things to be removed from my grand pas diet by docs when he got first stages of cancer and kidney failure were almost all green leaf veggies. It means meat has it's purpose so a balanced omnivore diet will help people out.
Thanks for sharing your story. You're not alone with going back to meats. I've read about so many people who stated that they became deficient after 2 or 3 years of fruits, grains and vegetables only. learned from a doctor that vegetables are our body builders and vegetables only will cause deficiencies long-term as she experienced from her patients over 26 years. She stated that meats complete the building blocks of our diet.
That’s awesome! Don’t let these reply’s try and tell you that your doing it wrong or whatever. Going vegan isn’t really healthy for you if you go on it for a long time. Your health will decline.
I'm vegan and have been for years but I totally agree with you on this and respect you for it! You really do need to listen to your body and that's great that you've found what works best for you :)
That's amazing! So glad it's working for you! :) The thing i loved most about being vegan is that I never had to buy meat or plan my meals around meat! It was so freeing in that respect! :)
Every person is an individual. I've been a vegetarian for 27 years but I've never tried to guilt anyone. I'm exploring vegan now but not sure i can 100% do it. Each person needs to find a diet that makes them emotionally happy and physically well. While some people might thrive on a vegan diet others may be unwell. So many factors involved like your dna make up and your ancestry. No need for any vegan or meat eater hate. Its just another excuse for people to turn against one another.
OMG everything you talked about is totally what I went through!! I feel so much better once I started eating meat 🥩 dairy 🥛 and eggs 🍳 again. I was gaining weight like crazy being Vegan 🌱 and i was exercising! It just wasn’t balanced for me. I too find that eating lower carb, high protein and having tons of veggies 🌶 with a little bit of fruit 🍉 helps me to lose weight and I have to lose weight because I’m way too overweight for my frame. And my mind is a lot clearer, i know people who go Vegan say their mind got clearer once they gave up animal products but mine got foggy and the diet made my depression worse. Thanks for sharing your story!
Thanks fr sharing! Love that we can relate to one another :) i totally understand I gained a lot of weight when I was vegan! Its great for some people, but not EVERYONE ! xoxo
I had to respond to your comment because for so long we've been compelled to eat low fat, high carb diets filled with pasta, bread & rice & we're told it's healthy.(Some vegans even promote us eating over 50 banana's a day) Sure,on a plant based diet I was able to lose a little weight for a while, but I would soon pile the weight back on,feel like crap & my blood work was terrible....Until,I opted to a low carb diet that Included lean proteins, dairy & plenty of vegetables & moderate amounts of fruit.I've now been able to get down to a health B.M.I for the last two years,my G.P now says that my blood work Is better than a 14 year old's & I feel satiated & energetic & my spirits are high all day
carpathianken 😃😃 That’s great 👍🏾 maybe High Carb diets work for some people but DEFINITELY isn’t for everyone! It’s funny how vegans promote these high carb diets and they say you’ll feel so much better and have high amounts of energy..ummm how about NOT I feel that way eating meat!
gained alot of weight through a vegan diet? sorry i like most of your videos but now you are trolling, you LOSE weight when you go on a vegan diet, me and my whole family is still losing weight, i lost 5 pounds the first week, stop lie, and how can dairy be good for weight loss, jesus christ
@Accidental Vegan I have read the china study and was a vegan for 3 years and in the beginning I felt amazing! Now I have to go back to eating eggs and fish for at least a while because my digestion is a total mess and by stomach can handle hardly any food. Veganism is great, but vegans have to stop trying to fix other peoples diets. Yes education is important but in the end you can't control other peoples decissions
Suddenly vegan : oh, you mean the "study" that manipulated the data to remove any contradictory facts from the study? You know, like Chinese regions that did eat meat and lived as long as the plant based ones? Why is it vegans are promoting disproven falsified studies as their "evidence"? Oh yeah, because they can't use personal experiences to prove how healthy veganism is (because many of them are living proof veganism is bad for our bodies).
Za Igre - Most of those "meat eaters" are fast food junkies, not low carb dieters. They look older because of the damage to their skin from lack of saturated fats and cholesterol (many meat eaters are still eating lean cuts and low fat foods). Sugar will make you look old. Unless you know thousands of people personally, your claim is based on very pathetic logic.
Za Igre - That is the problem. Doctors know jackshit about nutrition. Doctors also tell people that counting calories and exercising more will help them lose fat and it doesn't for very long because they promote eating lots of grains and carbohydrates, which cause people to get hungrier. Heart attacks come from inflammation of the arteries. Just like arthritis is from inflammation of the skeletal system. Both are caused by a high sugar diet. Blaming fat and cholesterol for heart attacks is like blaming a mechanic for damaging a person's car even though they are there to fix it.

I’m vegan for 5 years. As a pesceterian I had stomach problems, every week! (My mom raised me pesceterian so I’ve never eat meat in my life) when I became vegan I felt amazing. As a vegan I’ve never had stomach problems anymore, and if I was sick sometimes it was for a day. Now I wasn’t sick for a year! Just I feel amazing! I’m actually only 14. And I’m vegan since I was 9 years old (my mom went vegan and I didn’t understand why, and I was like I want o be vegan too) now I know why am I vegan. For animals of course. Everyone is different I guess
I'm not vegan and I am a complete omnivore. I love vegetables and fruit but I also love meat. I eat a lot more variety in vegetables and eat a lot more vegetables in general than my friend who is vegan. My friend generally eats potatoes, grains, and mostly carbs with little to no vegetables, she doesn't like salad or pretty much any vegetable in general.
I've always had the priority of listening to my body because my body knows what I need. I'll have times where I just crave milk but there are also times where I don't drink milk for ages. Sometimes I want a salad with a little chicken. I've found ways I like uncommon vegetable that people generally don't like. Those include brussel sprouts and asparagus as 2 of my favorites. Steak and red meat is one of my favorites but I don't have it that often.
Jadee Krueger being vegan doesn't automatically mean you eat healthy. You need to plan your diet and when it's well planned for your needs then it has the potential of being the healthiest diet
I am feeling great on a vegan diet. I have followed the diet for 6 years. No matter how hard the vegan diet is, I could never eat meat after knowing the horrors of animal agriculture and the damage it does to the environment.
If veganism was natural, it would never be "hard" to do for humans. Millions of hunters get their meat from hunting and rarely buy meat from a grocery store or factory farms anyway. Hunters are the first people to want to protect the environment. There is no evidence "animal agriculture" destroys the environment, but there is a shit load of clear facts that grain and monocrop agriculture does as well as the destruction of entire animal habitats. The horrors of the demand for plant based foods is at least equal to if not more horrible than what you claim.
George Orwell there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that animal agriculture hurts the environment. Watch cowspiracy, do some research. I'm not trying to be rude at all and I'm not vegan but there is actually evidence that it hurts the environment. Cow farming hurts the environment worse than all cars in the world combined.
Erica Patterson - I love how vegans just make shit up and use debunked "studies" as their evidence. If you actually did the research, you wouldn't be plugging a documentary to watch as your "research".
Erica Patterson - then you are easily fooled by vegan liars. Human anatomy and 4 million years of humanoid existence is MY documentary to know meat is our normal diet.
An FYI, this video's subtitles are a bit off, guessing automated, but when you say grains the subtitles claim you said greens. It might be confusing for those who are deaf, but you do also mention gluten there.
I think if someone decides to go vegan, they should ease into the diet slowly. Legumes and all the extra fiber can be difficult to digest. And vegan substitutes are processed. So that may also be causing digestive issues. Cooking veggies make them more digestible than eating raw.
I also was on a vegan diet for almost 2 yrs. and I think the gluten caught up to me all the rice and beans and now I got leaky gut :/ so after I get it healed I’m not going to back to vegan unfortunately but instead gluten free, it just makes sense. Wheat is not what it used to be.
you're so right! Wheat has changed and so has everything else to be honest! No one soak grains and beans anymore or ferments or sprouts anything, so overtime it destroys our guts! Thanks for sharing :)
I follow a whole foods plant based diet. From what I understand of the vegan culture I can say that veganism is not the same as dieting; it is not a dietery fad. The vegan culture doesn't seek to dictate how much of what to eat. If it's a nutrition plan you want you can costum design a vegan diet around your own needs like you would in any other eating lifestyle. And if you have health problems then there is a greater need for targeted approach to holistic nutrition. Switching lifestyles can be mentally tricky too because all of a sudden we become aware of what we are eating and when something is coined "healthy" we go all out on it when in reality we need to keep our meals colorful and diverse. So if u just have grains dominating your diet that would backfire even if you weren't vegan. Within a vegan diet I tried many diet plans and some of them really back fired but I kept looking till I found my fix. I did the same thing when I was a vegetarian. My nutritionist is absolutely amazing!
I feel like many people stop being vegan because of unrelated reasons. It is just an easy scapegoat. Also, as we age, we begin to have issues that may have nothing to do with diet. Just a couple thoughts:)
"For many people, meat actually has an alkaline effect on blood pH! In order to understand this, you must realize that each person is biochemically unique. Food and nutrients will behave very differently in people, because biochemistry is individual. Certain individuals have a metabolism that is designed to assimilate protein and fat more efficiently than plant foods. Other people have a metabolism that is designed to utilize plant foods more efficiently, while having less of a need for protein and fat. These facts of metabolic individuality are fundamental to the understanding of how nutrients will behave in your body." The acid-alkaline theory is also considered a myth.
I have hypopituitarism, underactive thyroid and a problem with scalp issues at times. I’m also coeliac. I thought veganism would miraculously cure my weight issues but no. That has been a journey all of its own. I have lost 20 pounds in two years but half that weight was lost before I went vegan. Still vegan now but it’s a lifestyle not a cure all. That being said my hormones are finally stable after years of ill health, I’m sleeping better too. But really is helping me is cutting out alcohol and keeping my sugar intake low. Vegan isn’t the answer for everyone but it’s definitely been a welcome to my nutritional journey
I m patient of ulcerative colitis your videos give me hope to fight this disease. Plz give your diet chart in comment box. Thanks a lot for this kind act. Peace be upon you.😅💐💐💐💌👍
So grains or processed grains are bad for health out of moderation whether youre vegan or not. Legumes are a hybrid(I think garbonzo beans are the only natural 'bean'), as are a lot of "vegetables" so if youre "plant-based", you have to work at learning what a balanced diet looks like before knowing it doesnt work... its like learning an instrument without lessons, and convincing yourself you cant play based on how you sound- ignoring the ability to grow and progress through time. I agree that everyones body is different but have you seen "The magic Pill" On netflix? If you still eat meat, you should avoid processed meat sold in most stores because you may feel good now, but they still will lead to health problems in the future as they always do. The sad truth is most food is modified in this country whether meat or plant-based, so it takes time. Our super markets are NOT making the same food they sold 50 years ago, and wheat has been hybridized time and time again... thats why gluten intolerance is on the rise, just like "lactose-intolerance"... thats not good for any diet no matter what you believe you should eat.
Steven Garcia yes you are SPOT on! I only eat pasture raised and grass fed meats/eggs/dairy and NEVER eat processed or refined grains 😊 I personally found that vegan eating is too high in carbs for me and even when soaking and sprouting my grains and beans, I still was in severe pain afterwards. I am mostly vegetarian and only eat meat/animals products 2 times a week 😊
I was vegan for six months, and while I love being vegan, my body just doesn't. (for a lot of the same reasons it didn't work for you.) I have lyme disease + co-infections and candida as a result of the treatment, and eating vegan makes it nearly impossible to meet my nutrient needs with my other dietary restrictions. Reality is, being vegan just doesn't work for everyone. I still want to reduce my animal product consumption overall, but I would say the AIP diet works with my body better.
I also was vegan many years. I love the concept, but after two years it just didn’t seem as energizing. I was then vegetarian mostly but I did eat some chicken or fish a few days a week but not every meal. I mentally felt better. When I was vegan I always wondered if I was getting everything I needed. I don’t feel that eating vegan is necessary for ultimate health. No major population in the history of the world are vegan life long. I guess there are big populations that eat vegetarian including dairy, but not vegan. Anyway, I like eating vegan about 50% of the time. I agree, I think it depends on people’s bodies. I use to believe vegan was perfect for everyone, but I’ve changed my stance on that.
Yes, they were vegan. Because vegan is a dietary choice. Whether it is one day or 10 years, eating vegan has wooden definition. No animal foods or products. If I eat a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, tofu, and use vinegar oils for dressing for the day, I have been vegan for a day.
I being vegan for year and I love it but my hair start having problems with hair thinking and sleep problem..I still don’t eat meat but eat the rest chicken and fish
We need to eat like our ancestors. We don't need to eat massive amounts of food and we especially don't need to eat large amounts of meat. No need to eat an entirely vegan diet.
I eat mostly a plant based diet. I just feel better and ever so often have meat. I try to eat as humane as possible. I am not crazy abt eating meat but I am having to learn to eat. I have fibromalgia. Arthritis. The usual illnesses related to the SAD diet. I think it is the junk we eat in this country more than eating vegan vegetarian or a meat eater than anything else.
@@wordswitha7 Same lol. I grew up in a family that was big on eating pork. I was glad when my mom stopped cooking it when I was young since I'd always hated it. As an adult, I abstain from any food/product containing pork.

There can be health issues when being plant based. Like there are when being an omnivore. Any diet if not well planed can create health issues. Being a vegan is an ethical choice. I am sorry that you were not feeling well while on a plant based diet. I hope that you reconsider for the animals, the planet and your health. I understand it can be scary not to be able to fix your health problems and doing anything to fix it makes sense. Becoming vegan by Brenda Davis is one of the best books for a healthy diet. Also Dr. Barnard, Dr. Greger, Dr.
I tried Veganism - was farting like a maniac and generally felt like crap despite eating a balanced diet and ensuring I got Vitamins like B12. Not for me!
A Pure Carb diet=Too much sugar in the body! It’s very simple! Very bad! The human body needs meat/fat. We evolved that way. My chronic psoriasis healed completely in 3 months after introducing fats, meats, and fish into my diet; as well as reducing fruit intake to 1 serving a day. I also started to supplement Vitamin D! I was born vitamin D deficient. It took me four years of trial, and error as a vegan to figure this out. I think this combo will work for most people: 20% fruit, 30% vegetable, 50% fat/meats intake per day. Replace sugar with stevia. Grains, and nightshades are not needed! Avoid junk food obviously. Nuts are ok. Organic Coffee, or Matcha green tea is fine in the morning. Supplement organic Vitamin D3, and Magnesium as most people are deficient of these two essentials. This is a great recipe for everyone in general. Try to eat organic as much as possible, as your individual budget allows. I love you’re videos Marla, They’ve been very informative. Thank you. Cheers😘😃
Its good to have a mixed diet, plants are needed, grains are needed, fat is needed, and meat is needed. Everything has its place. When I cook meat, I make sure I get it from free range, organically feed, and humanely slaughtered animals. ALSO, I dont eat red meat, just fish and poultry :)
I see that a lot of ppl expect that on the "vegan" diet ppl are suppose to feel amazing all the time and no one goes through periods of ups and downs, as if ppl that eat meat never have ups and downs. Of course they do. there is no perfect diet since we live in an imperfect environment. What we need to ask ourselves is what is this food going to leave behind in the body? I think the plants leave less toxics behind and it is a cleaner source of calories for the body. Which foods your body will do better on? well that's up to every individual to find out. Everyone says their energy comes back when they change their food choices, it's usually a common thing in any switch. We all need to stop making this so complicating. Use common sense, eat a diet that is clean and get all your nutrients, and don't expect your going to feel amazing all the time, if you feel crappy, it could be something you caught from someone, or the environment, anything, your gut flora, parasites, anything, but ppl right away blame their diet, well if you ate something that doesn't agree, don't eat that food anymore, eat something else that your body thrives on, listen to your body. Eat clean and get all your nutrients.
Yes youre absolutely right! I eat mostly plant based and love it ! Eating no animals proteins was too much starch/carbs for me so including wild caught fish and snall amounts of free range chicken and turkey is what works best for me 👌💙
Once you join the Vegan, you waive all personal rights to speak on your own behave as an individual and a human being, we have representatives for that.
Hi there, let me first say that I say the following with the utmost respect and kindness, as I know tone doesn't come across very well. But I wanted to address a few things you said. In reality, you didn't actually go vegan. You tried a plant based diet. Veganism is an ethical position, not a diet choice per sey. To be 'Vegan' is to align your actions to that ethical position. If someone realises the full ethical implications of veganism, they have to have a very good justification for themselves to consume animal products again. They research every possible contributing factor to their ailments before thinking about eating animal products again. Why? Because It's like waking up to a deep injustice in the world. I don't think you made that connection and feel you were doing it for health reasons, meaning, you went plant based. The worlds leading authorities on nutrition have a consensus that a well planned vegan diet (ie. A plant based way of eating that is inline with veganism) is suitable and often beneficial in all stages of life. In only extremely rare cases are there exeptions. It is extremely likely that it wasn't the exclusion of animal products from your diet that worsened your ailments, but other factors instead. There may be some symptoms that come with a transition to a plant based diet as your body adjusts. These symptoms usually go away after some time. For example, with myself, my eczema reduced going vegan, but didn't dissapear completely. I later discovered I likely have a wheat allergy and cutting out wheat has practically cured my eczema. If you were eating more grains to make up for the loss of animal products, you may have been consuming a protien that you're intolerant or allergic to for example. The IBS could have been bloating and discomfort from the sudden diet change and you just needed more time to adjust. You seem like an open minded person. It's possible you could do some research on what constitutes an optimum vegan diet (a Whole Food Plant Based diet) and see if you could get close to that. You could also try to find out if you are intollerent oe allergic to certain foods. You could possibly also combine that with some research into the ethical and environmental implications of veganism, and the realities of animal agriculture to boost your conviction. And i wish you good health whatever you choose. With the information I've presented here, do you think its likely that you might do some more research on veganism and see if you could move in that direction again?
Thank you for your comment and I really appreciate that you are not trying to force your opinions and beliefs onto other people (since most vegans who comment here do). You are right in that I did not become vegan for ethical purposes, it was mainly due to health, finances and because I couldn't stand the taste of meat. SO yes, i was plant based if that is the correct term. However, I was and am ALWAYS against any animal products that are not pastured, grass fed, free ranged etc because I think its disgusting, cruel and heartbreaking what "farmers" are doing to the animals trying to make as much profit as they can and cramming hundreds and thousands of anmials in a tiny space, with no room to roam, breathe, etc and stuffing them with antibiotics and hormones and all the rest of it. Growing up, we were ALWAYS vegetarian, meaning we ate mostly plant based and lots of grains, LOADS of veggies, hardly any sugar and eat once a week usually on sunday and it was a very small portion of organic meat and we would eat wild caught fish once a week as well. We would eat yogurt once or twice a week and thats it, however we did have pastured eggs often. We mainly ate whole grains, veggies, fruit, and legumes and healthy fats. So I COMPLETELY understand about the adjustment comment you mad,e however I don't believe my body needed to adjust since I BARELY changed my diet when I went off all animals products :) The big difference for me when I went vegan was that all my meals consisted of carbs. When I was still eating animal products, I would usually have one or 2 meals a day that was veggies, fats and eggs or yogurt, so I had at least 1 meal a day with NO or very LOW carbs. I definitely had a wheat allergy, however I had it before i went vegan and after I went back to eating meat. i didnt stop eating wheat until a year ago. However, even with the wheat allergy, I still felt 100 times better when i started eating meat again. The thing was that I had candida overgrowth so the high carb diet was feeding my candida further. When i started including animal protein back into my diet, I dialed back the carbs and increased fish and eggs and almost instantly, my eczema started to clear, even though i was still eating wheat which i have an allergy to. I am now eating 95% plant based and only have meat and fish twice a week and yogurt once a week. I eat LOTS of grains but I am gluten free and I feel and look the best i've ever looked :) I do believe 100% plant based or vegan is GREAT for some people, but not for me. I am VERY conscious though of where my meat is sourced, and I ONLY eat organic, pasture raised grass fed meats and wild caught fish. I find that the factory farmed meat tastes disgusting and I will NEVER support those farmers who treat their animals like that. I don't think i will ever go back off animal products completely since I personally believe people need some amount of animal products, no matter how little, and I feel great the way I eat now :) But thank you for your comment and really appreciate you taking the time to educate :)
The thing is, even though you believe that it's not great for you, the worlds leading authorities on nutrition disagree. Both the British and American association of dietetics have a consensus that completely plant based eating is suitable and often benefitial for human health. I get it though. Your transition seems like it was more tricky than most other people, and that may make it seem like they're wrong. I'm no saint, I've made extremely unconscious food choices in the past. You're making conscious choices, and that's admirable. Infact, I'm guessing you're younger than me and I'm guessing that at your age, I was making more unconscious choices than you. It was only a few years ago I was eating organ meats, brains, horse, camel, and god knows what else. I prided myself on 'eating the whole animal' and 'not discriminating between animals' Organic grass fed cows are extremely scared as they are forced onto a truck, into a slaughter house, and towards a bolt gun that's fired into their head at a quater of their natural life span, when they then have their throats slit and are cut up into pieces. Wild caught fish still suffocate to death along with all the sea mammels in the by-catch. We may even live to see fishless oceans due to our consumption of animal products. I guess my thinking is, that if you now know that sentient creatures, just like the dogs we love and cherish, that have a emotions, sentience, moral value, and a preference to live, have to be killed for your food.... and you know that the worlds relevant scientific authorities state this is avoidable... would that not make it a priority to find out how to avoid paying for someone else do those things? I know that it became important for me. I wonder that if it became as important for you, whether you could see a plant based nutritionist to see how you could make plant based eating work for you. I get that costs money and that's a factor. I'm guessing from what you've said, that due to your experience, your belief is now so cemented that you wont look into this further at the moment. But I hope that I've at least planted a seed that might lead to some further exploration into this in the future because the animals and the planet really do need it. It's not about being right or being 'better than'. Other people did exactly the same for me before I became vegan. It's about passing on the message with as much kindness and respect as possible. Good luck on your journey. :)
Alex Shailer Yes, realizing how horrendous slaughterhouses are, also for the "lucky" 1% of the farm animals who are raised humanely - i finally had to admit to myself that there was no such thing as humane meat. And once i saw that, i was vegan. It wasn't even a conscious choice - once you recognize the suffering of animals no different from cats and dogs, the idea of eating them becomes as distasteful as eating your pets :_( the environmemtal impact (90% of deforestation caused by animal agriculture) was also frightening to contemplate.
Accidental Vegan spot on. it's interesting how everyone reaches veganism in slightly different ways. I think I reached the point where I realised eating animals and their products can never be humane, but I genuinely believed that humans needed them to thrive and be healthy, so I continued for a while, thinking it was justified. I think that's an important point here. If one can say "Well ,we need to eat them to be healthy", then that point alone justifies the continued exploitation. There's also this "Listen to your body" thing that a lot of people say at the moment. I get it, it's very important to be in tune with your body, and I feel it's a meme that's come about through people wanting to reclaim their bodies from 'authorities' who've not always shown us what's best for us. However, the body doesn't always say what's best for us either, it often screams out for high calorie food because we evolved from times when food was scarce. It often has withdrawals from things that stimulate the dopamine system like junk food, cigerettes, and alchohol. Once "I'm listening to my body" trumps "Let's listen to nutrition and biological science", you can justify animal exploitation again. You don't have to listen to what the research and reality is because 'Body knows best'. This will also be compounded if you enter a situation where you have some health problems and the source of them is unclear. It's even further compounded by the rest of society telling you it's not healthy or normal. I know I was scared to go fully vegan for months because of the general publics majority view that it's not healthy. Luckily, we have science, research, nutritionists, and thousands apon thousands of long term vegans, that have reached a consensus that it IS healthy... And that's crucial to the realisation that animal exploitation is immoral, because it takes away it's necessity, leaving taste pleasure, convenience and tradition as reasons which we both know cannot justify animal exploitation.
I believe you are explaining the plant-based diet. Veganism doesn't just refer to diet, but the use of any animal products of any kind. Plant-based is for health, and it does end up helping the environment and animals, but lacks the conviction portion of the vegan lifestyle. Not entirely sure what your full diet was, but it sounds like you were missing something that still could have been supplied in a plant-based diet. I promise there is more out there than nightshades and gluten! Gotta do fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, moderate beans, and keep up with lots of greens. I eat salads constantly. We are not used to how a plant-based diet needs to be balanced because we are not a plant-based world. The more I get into veganism (because I do subscribe to the environmental and animal rights convictions), the more I learn about even my favorite greens. Spinach I know now that I can't eat a ton of because of oxalates. Cool... I'll mix it up with leafy lettuces and kale. Onions make my stomach hurt if I eat them raw... so I cook them. Just takes some adjusting. But, if you are keeping animal product consumption low, it may not be great for them, but that does help with the environment a smidge. Hope everything works out!
Yes if yoube been following me for a while you know i eat very healthy and ate TONNES of salad (its my favourite type of meal) Lots of chia seed oudding, flax bread, fruits etc etc. Protein was hard for me to source especially with soy allergy (and soy is unhealthy if you have tjyroid issues which i did) so i turned to legumes (which killed my digestion) and quinoa, hemp (which was nice) etc but because of the high lectin content of the foods i got very sick. I know vegan is besy for some people but just was not ideal for me and my digestion❤
we totally have to listen to our bodies our body Knows Best. People who don't listen to what their body tells them have problems. I started using different drugs and my body started craving the old drugs and when I went back to using the old ones it was so amazing how I started to feel. listen to your body everyone. whatever makes our body feel best is obviously what's best for us even if it is harmful do what makes you feel good in the moment I mean that must be a fail-proof safeguard. that's how half of you sound
What all successful diets have in common is low carb. Everyone on high carb diets have these autoimmune diseases at one point or another. Carbs is the cause of weight gain and not meat
Tried going vegan. Ruined my stomach. Couldn't eat anything but bread for weeks. Yogurt really helped. It's like a miracle. Now I eat yogurt and dairy everyday and at least one meal with meat. Only an idiot says one diet works for everyone.
If you want to be vegan be vegan, but it seems to be more about virtue signaling. First time you meet someone that happens to be vegan they find a way to tell you about it and have a weird sense of elevated morality not to mention that they are judgmental and always pale and too thin.
You mean you never seen a meat eater that looks pale and thin? I see them all the time, oh, but they must be vegan, maybe not, cause they didn't announce it
There are overweight vegans just like there are underweight meat eaters. 🤷♀️ I was vegan and super pale but I'm also a redhead so no matter what I eat I'll be super pale. I actually gained weight being vegetarian because I was eating junk food and carbs all the time. I lost weight being vegan but I've also lost weight while eating meat. When I was vegan I wasnt judgemental, I'm not here to tell you what to eat I'm just here to eat what I want to lol. I actually got a lot of people being very rude to be because of being vegan when I said nothing to them about their diet.
I have tried to go vegan, I could not be 100% vegan First, I can't eat food like beans or broccoli that is high in fibre because of my collon bloating so badly Second, I have to limit some food because of allergy such as soya &nuts My system doesnt accept full vegan meals So I am in between 20% paleo and vegan 80%
Healthy Life Happy Life How long did it take for your thyroid to regulate? Be in normal range after postpartum? I’m pregnant right now and I’m scared of how long it’s going to take to get it back to how it was 😩
Maria Nunez it took about 6 months if eating well and taking lots of adapotegns and medicinal mushrooms daily. I also still take adaptogens every day :)
You were never vegan in the first place. You were on a plant based diet.... I swear some people like to discredit or put down veganism... I hate repeating my self to people who clearly don’t know much about a topic but VEGANISM IS NOT A DIET SO DONT BLAME IT ON VEGANISM BLAME IT ON YOURSELF. Being vegan doesn’t equate to health it simply means you don’t eat/use animal products. If you where on a whole food vegan diet that would be a different story. Getting enough calories and supplementing with b-12 should really be it it’s not that complicated.
Jeff Hernandez I was vegan. I didn't eat animal products I got all my protein and fats from non-animal sources. I was supplementing with B12 and many other vitamins and minerals. The Vegan lifestyle I was too high in carbs and lectins and as a result it made my candida and leaky gut worse.
Jeff Hernandez.... I was wholefoods vegan for 4yr. It only made my gut, brain and auto immune far worse. Wound up with horrendous digestion, multiple food intolerance, and a shed load of supps.
Vegan foods are dangerous so it is much more complicated than getting calories and taking b21. Film your first kidney stone from all the leafy greens you eat. Maybe your first goiter from all the goitrogenic vegetables. I was vegan for 10 years and I know all about what a scam it is.
Same with me! I was vegetarian for 3 years but I recently started having bone broth and collagen to help with leaky gut. I'm also eating fish. I tried turkey on thanksgiving but I had a hard time digesting it.
Healthy Life Happy Life.... Gelatin helps my (vegan damaged) gut too 👍. I have a problem with grains, legumes, and nuts. It wasn't too bad when I first went vegan, but the longer I stuck it out, the worse it got. Not great with most dairy either, though raw goat milk is currently working well. I'm finding the high ratio of glutamic acid in goat milk very calming (it has 2x as much per gram of protein compared to lentils and so much less gut irritating fibre). The calcium is also needed for my teeth which deteriorated as a vegan. I just can't digest enough green leafy veg to get sufficient calcium from them anymore. The oxalates in most of them seem to have become my enemy. I never even had to think about them before being vegan for 4yr. That diet made my food intolerances multiply like crazy. Slowly wound up on more and more supplements. Yet sicker than ever. Local health food shop owner confessed to me after I left veganism that vegans generally buy the most supplements per person, and they think they're stupid or crazy, but love the profits they generate. A year after leaving veganism, I've been able to drop GABA, calcium, betaine, enzymes, DMSO, b complex, iron, and use a lot less zinc. The local supplements shop owner is not happy. But my gut and brain work a lot better. So I am 😊.
KaylaTreeHoops.... When I first left veganism, I still needed betaine hcl. It's a stomach acid supplement. A lot of longer term vegans and vegetarians develop too low stomach acid. Just as people who eat too much meat, especially processed meat/junk food often develop excessive stomach acid. Two sides of the same coin I guess?
Veggie for 3 yrs and yet all this problem??? What happens with your generations??? You all have problems with health issue's??? Everyone is sick here? When I was +20 yrs old and started going out. Do what others do. Eat and crave as never B4. I was to busy to see myself growing fat. OMG I eat for 3. Somedays 3 liters ice cream at onces. Cookies to and a lot! At midday I eat a big dark bread filled the breadslices with butter and meatslices and cheese and jam all togheter on top of it. In just 20 minutes. Every freaking 5 working days!!! After work I regulary stopped at the backery! Buying at least 5 things full of sugar, eggs, milk, fat and oh yeah some flour in it to. LOL Later we replaced the meat with fatty cheeses. The last 3 yrs as being a meatlover we both where fat but weak to. Our winterholiday? 2 weeks in bed. 3 yrs at row getting a dangerous flue. I even passed away now and then. That was my waking up call! I was scared. So we changed to veggie but still we grow fatter than never B4 and dangerous unhealthy to! I'm so glad I changes to be a vegan. We never, never goes back. Never being sick anymore. We learn every day, we see new products every day, we met new ppl, new places! We are happier, smarter and more lucky than B4 our dark ages! There is so much to enjoy to discover. Don't waste your time with crap. I don't believe these excuses anymore. So sorry if I upset you with my reactions! ;)
Vegan is a bad diet and some people can handle it for longer but the bottom line is that we are carnivores and we are meant to eat meat so it's especially asinine to hear these brainwashed vegans say that meat is eaten only for the taste. Bull, vegetables cannot be digested properly by mankind because our stomachs are not designed to break down plant foods. I eat a mixture of raw and some cooked meat and when I eat vegetables, I juice them. Herbivores eat the plant food and then we eat the herbivores so they do the work of breaking down the plants to retrieve the nutrients and then we get those vitamins and nutrients from the animals. Veganism is evil and brought upon by the dark occultists who really run the world so the peasants will be sick. Those dark occultists eat meat for sure and probably most if not all of them are also cannibals. Actually in a way, vegans are cannibals too because they starve their bodies so much that the body begins to eat itself.
Research the Blue zones. people on a Vegan diet or 90% Vegan are the healthiest in the world. This scenario also happens to people who give up smoking or alcohol or drugs. They get really sick and have to revert. smoking must be good, because most people that give it up feel weak and get all sorts of medical issues. Some people miss their morning coffee and they are hopeless for the rest of the day. Addiction remains the same no matter the object one is addicted to.
Keshwin Mohan I am vegetarian and that works best for me 😊 I didn't get sick from addition, I got leaky gt and candida overgrowth from all the carbs and Lectins😯
Keshwin Mohan... That doesn't match up with what most ex vegans say. Most of us report that our health got worse and worse the longer we were vegan. Whereas when you're addicted to something and stop consuming it, initially you feel worse, but then slowly improve. The two experiences are pole opposite for most people.
I read the Blue Zones book. None of those cultures studied are vegan. Some don’t have much meat, but a few of them are quite dairy heavy. Not vegan. But yes....very vegetable heavy.
The only way I would ever adopt a vegan diet is if I am forced to do it. I have nothing against veganism or anything else, it's just not for me. Being pescatarian works best for me and my body. I cut out pork when I was very young, but at 28, I cut out chicken, beef, & turkey as well (those are the meats I used to eat). The 1st six months were the worst, but it also opened my eyes to how I used to engage in mindless eating (esp when it came to fast food) on a reg basis when I actually thought I was being mindful. Cutting out meat (except seafood) alleviated many issues for me, and I simply don't want meat anymore. But going vegan? Nope. Not for me lol. It's good you did what was right for you :-)
This is why if people are to go vegan it’s best to try a raw vegan diet that way you’ll avoid all the negative dietary possibilities check out John rose here on TH-cam if this comment resonates with you 👍
This is what I've gathered from this being vegan will kill me..n I know eating meat will kill me..even if veganism is unhealthy.. eating meat is no doubt unhealthy also. And she says she eats eggs?? Which one of the most unhealthiest things but veganism made you sick?? Now I can't trust if it was her eating habits or actually veganism that made her sick. i was wondering how people make the switch without getting sick..thats why I'm here. This video made me want to stick to veganism bc seems like all It's really saying is eating meat kills you slower and being vegan will kill you faster.
You should have searched the guidance of an experienced vegetarian... instead of taking it to the extreme of jumping to vegan .. eating grains and beans is the worst. ... there is a lot to learn and you left yourself on your own without guidance
If you are vegan and feeling "great" now wait until your body no longer copes with the malnutrition. My advise is to start adding animal protien and fat into your diet and reduce vegetables fruits snd carbohydrates. My niece is vegan for 5 years and anorexic again and she will still tell you that she feels great which is lie based on being brain washed and pride.
Your diet may have been suitable for vegans, but what you did was go plant-based. The difference with vegans as they do it for the animals, vegans most typically also do not do things like buy leather by suede etc. People who do it for health reasons have plant-based diet. They are not vegan.
Eaty McEatison I hope you are doing well you made the right decision
I am not vegan, i'm a meat eater. Maybe you are taking medicines like antibiotics or eating unhealthy foods like some nuts or common allergy foods, and even some fruits with high sugar content. I suspect you took medicines and chemicals. I know this because i experience it myself i have allergies and i cannot go out much often. My social life now is zero and i am a meat eater. So i don't believe it's the vegan diet. Being Vegan doesn't mean automatically healthy.
ruelguitar2k I will never be vegan I’m sorry of happen to you
@@roycates8026 No i am not really vegan, i do it for health reasons but i still eat meat sometimes. I mean maybe she/he took some medicines that can trigger allergies and autoimmune diseases. Some fruits and vegetables can trigger allergies also.
me too i developed several health problems i regret everyday going vegan
If vegans could just understand that this is not a personal attack and that the diet just isn't for everyone... that'd be great.
Hi there,
I would like to begin by stating that i am in favour of 'free will', i must state that cause does always produce an effect.
Best wishes
💙💙💙
I was vegan for a decade and it almost killed me. I made a series of videos explaining my experience.
It seems like there's a 10-year-wall the vast majority of vegans hit. I have heard of/know very few vegans who made it past a decade before their body was in full rebellion.
vegans are so annoying lol. and this is coming from a former vegan. (6 years)
no one said vegans dont live after their 10th year being vegan. some vegans start having complications within their body around that mark,
i've heard of aging, so have you and so has your mother and mine, as well as everyone else. anyway, i'm speaking based on who i know and the vegans' in my family experiences. im young, i was a young teen when i started to be vegan. i was healthy and lively. my doctors were always impressed with my health. i went vegan for six years, because of ethical reasons and i suffered. i watched my health get so bad and i tried everything to get it back. i started eating meat a year ago and more than half of my issues are gone.
and thats okay! i wish you all the good health! its a very scary thing to be a teenager and watching ur health slip right before your eyes. im 20 now, but i dont know what could've happen to me if i hadn't eaten meat again. i don't support the torture of animals and i try to buy as ethical as possible. im pretty sure genetics and cultural background/ancestry plays a BIG part in whether diets are compatible or not with our bodies.
Every time I hear someone talking about:
I decided to eat clean, or,
Listen to your body, or,
We're all different, or,
I went vegan for my health,
I know he or she has not studied nutrition.
Needs change...
latoyale YES BABE THANK YOU! I love that nessage about listening to your body and doing whats right for YOU! Thanks for sharing 😘
Supplements - no reason for eating meat still. Sorry for your condition.
latoyale Liver!
@@tickyul thank you for this suggestion. I forgot all about eating liver. I dont care much for it but I'll try it to keep my blood levels up.
Plus too much fruit hurts your liver and feeds candida if you have it so all around, it was too hard on my body, personally 😊
sheena millien
Yes legumes is what I was eating and they contain lectins and phytic acid which hurts the gut.

I bet all vegans fail their diets from time to time, consciously or not. We are omnivores, there is no way around it. I myself went vegan for 1 year. In the beginning I was feeling great, towards the end, not so much.

You cant do vegan diets right.
Out of all known tribes of history of mankind there was not one tribe that would be eating vegan.
The Brokpa tribe of Ladakh in the Himalayas have been vegan for 5000 years.

Truth Knight veganism is good for no one.
It's always good to see people recovering from veganism.
Hugh?? Do you really think like that?
Being vegan is not for everyone, that's all I can say. It's not for me and I don't plan on becoming vegan
Thank you for this video, I was Vegan for almost a year and I just recently went back to eating eggs and chicken because my health was going downhill.
Then you must do it wrong way - nothing to be shame off - just start again with some research first.

You go girl! If veganism is best for someone then they should keep it up but if not, there is nothing wrong with transitioning out of it!

Shört Këkë have you looked at CHINA STUDY?

Thats amazing!!! xo

Jadee Krueger yes, regardless of what diet you choose, veggies are SO important !😊
I have problems with night shade. You only have to eat meat 3or 4 times a week. You can also go vegetarian and eat byproducts Wich is what I do.
George Orwell I'm not vegan. I did way more research than that one documentary. I researched this specific topic for weeks but ok 😂😂😂
Erica Patterson - then you are easily fooled by vegan liars. Human anatomy and 4 million years of humanoid existence is MY documentary to know meat is our normal diet.
So are you doing the paleo diet now? I know this video is from last year but I’m just wondering
Rebekah Cromey im paleoish! I do mostly grain free but i still eat rice and chickpeas but always gluten free 😊
An FYI, this video's subtitles are a bit off, guessing automated, but when you say grains the subtitles claim you said greens. It might be confusing for those who are deaf, but you do also mention gluten there.
Thank you for letting me know!
I think if someone decides to go vegan, they should ease into the diet slowly. Legumes and all the extra fiber can be difficult to digest. And vegan substitutes are processed. So that may also be causing digestive issues. Cooking veggies make them more digestible than eating raw.
I eased into it. I started the transition at the age of 20, and was vegan by 21, that was 31 years ago. Still going strong.
That’s what I did and it worked for me.
Thank you for sharing your story! I also believe that a vegan diet is not for everyone. People should be more aware of this.
Great video and thank you! Do you eat dairy?
These facts of metabolic individuality are fundamental to the understanding of how nutrients will behave in your body."
The acid-alkaline theory is also considered a myth.
Thank you for sharing 💙💙

Hi like your channel .I gut heathy problem I avoid alots of food still I am sick
You were never vegan hate to break it to you!
What I just read is You never be a vegan, You don't even know what it is!

There can be health issues when being plant based. Like there are when being an omnivore. Any diet if not well planed can create health issues. Being a vegan is an ethical choice. I tried Veganism - was farting like a maniac and generally felt like crap despite eating a balanced diet and ensuring I got Vitamins like B12. Not for me!
*to each his own*
A Pure Carb diet=Too much sugar in the body!
Thank you. Cheers😘😃
Eating clean, is that equate to vegan lifestyle or . . .?

Its good to have a mixed diet, plants are needed, grains are needed, fat is needed, and meat is needed. Everything has its place. When I cook meat, I make sure I get it from free range, organically feed, and humanely slaughtered animals. ALSO, I dont eat red meat, just fish and poultry :)
> humanely slaughtered animals
Describe this process.
Eating no animals proteins was too much starch/carbs for me so including wild caught fish and snall amounts of free range chicken and turkey is what works best for me 👌💙
Could a Vegan give me their thoughts regarding abortion?
Abortion isnt murder, unless its a certain amount of weeks
Ya I also find funny the vegans say it is ok to abort babies but their against eating a healthy food.
I eat LOTS of grains but I am gluten free and I feel and look the best i've ever looked :)
I do believe 100% plant based or vegan is GREAT for some people, but not for me. I am VERY conscious though of where my meat is sourced, and I ONLY eat organic, pasture raised grass fed meats and wild caught fish. I find that the factory farmed meat tastes disgusting and I will NEVER support those farmers who treat their animals like that.
I don't think i will ever go back off animal products completely since I personally believe people need some amount of animal products, no matter how little, and I feel great the way I eat now :)
But thank you for your comment and really appreciate you taking the time to educate :)
I prided myself on 'eating the whole animal' and 'not discriminating between animals'
Organic grass fed cows are extremely scared as they are forced onto a truck, into a slaughter house, and towards a bolt gun that's fired into their head at a quater of their natural life span, when they then have their throats slit and are cut up into pieces.
Alex Shailer How old are you and how long have you been vegan?
I haven't eaten pork since I was 13.... so it's been 19 years
AMAZING!!!
What all successful diets have in common is low carb. Everyone on high carb diets have these autoimmune diseases at one point or another. Carbs is the cause of weight gain and not meat
I had a hard time losing weight as a meat eater. As a higher carb vegan I've been able to keep the weight off. 33 and 115 pounds! Love me my carbs
Tried going vegan. Ruined my stomach. Couldn't eat anything but bread for weeks. Yogurt really helped. It's like a miracle. Now I eat yogurt and dairy everyday and at least one meal with meat. Only an idiot says one diet works for everyone.
I’ve been vegan for two years now. Going strong and blood tests are as healthy as ever
If you want to be vegan be vegan, but it seems to be more about virtue signaling.
First time you meet someone that happens to be vegan they find a way to tell you about it and have a weird sense of elevated morality
not to mention that they are judgmental and always pale and too thin.
You mean you never seen a meat eater that looks pale and thin? I see them all the time, oh, but they must be vegan, maybe not, cause they didn't announce it
Always pale and to thin? Did you ever see some vegans? I don't think so. Judgmental is on both sides!
😂😂😂
I like it! Instead of the usual I came vegan to save the world, I came vegan because meat was expensive! Lol
I like your honesty in the video
haha gfrass-fed organic meat is so overpriced! EVen though im not vegan anymore, i only consume meat about 2x/week
I have tried to go vegan, I could not be 100% vegan
First, I can't eat food like beans or broccoli that is high in fibre because of my collon bloating so badly
Second, I have to limit some food because of allergy such as soya &nuts
My system doesnt accept full vegan meals
So I am in between 20% paleo and vegan 80%
Unfortunately I'm Born vegetarian and I can't have meat so at the most can ho back to be vegetarian.
Looks like your body responds best to your natural diet. Locally available middle eastern foods like veggies and lamb 😃
Did your hypothyroidism get affected by going vegan?
Maria Nunez it's hard to day because my rgyroid was out of whack being so newly postpartum which is when I started the diet so hard to know!!
Amen. So sick of people downing veganism when they clearly weren’t doing it correctly. 🙄. Ridiculous
regardless, different things work for different PEOPLE. some people do everything by the book as a vegan, and still get sick.
I am vegan for the animals.. soo
Fuck health?
Same with me! I was vegetarian for 3 years but I recently started having bone broth and collagen to help with leaky gut. I'm also eating fish. I tried turkey on thanksgiving but I had a hard time digesting it.
Kayla Michelle I tally love gelatin and collagen it hs helped so much!
So sorry if I upset you with my reactions! ;)
Happy Holistic Life
Q. What brand/type collagen do you use. Is gelatin the same
I also switched back as well!!
Are you O blood type?
Your skin looks beautiful. I think adding meat to your diet works. I don't like pork either!
Thank you!💙
I tried this in 1978. Then it was called vegetarianism. I became tired and irritated all the time. I see nothing positive about it.
nancysrios
Did you attempt to eat more for energy or . . .
Keshwin Mohan Almost no one in the blue zones are vegan.
Exactly, look at Ikaria,Greece-there is plenty of meat and wine. Don't beleive this new age shit about healthy Veganism. ITS A SHAM!
It's good you did what was right for you :-)
Pescatarian is the best !😍😍
This is why if people are to go vegan it’s best to try a raw vegan diet that way you’ll avoid all the negative dietary possibilities check out John rose here on TH-cam if this comment resonates with you 👍
I tried to be vegan and I failed SO BAD like fr im not against it though
everyone is unique and different diets will work for different people :)
Glad to see some rationality when it comes to this dangerous dietary cult. Well done on escaping, Doll Face.
Chronometer is free and will help you reach your dietary needs if you're struggling with eating plant based.
So glad you stopped the vegan diet for your health
Try carnivore diet for a week
Your diet may have been suitable for vegans, but what you did was go plant-based. The difference with vegans as they do it for the animals, vegans most typically also do not do things like buy leather by suede etc. People who do it for health reasons have plant-based diet. They are not vegan.
