There's grandma on our guild MAIN progression guild. She's 65+ (don't know her exact age, but i remember she mentions she's almost 70), She play Arcane Mage and parses 65%+ did mechanics PERFECTLY (yeah, she did failed mechanic few times... but i had my fair share of wiping the raid....) She's a nice grandma, whenever we stuck on a boss she always the first one to volunteer to be benched. We did benched her on the super hard boss but most of the times it's only 1 or 2 boss in raid, and we bring her the next week when most of us has perfected the mechanics and more geared.
Lol RIP preach, you guys sound exactly like my kids ,wife and me. These are the type of moments that make life so worth it. All the hours and late nights and sweat become all worth it in moments like you described at the beginning.
Cassandra had to have dozens of alts all in that same guild and pretended to be tons of different girls and the GM. There’s no way that a mass exodus of that size could have happened overnight.

This drama time really hit home as I have been in granny's place with cowardly raid leads who refused to communicate. This is the absolute worst way to run your raid and there is a cold place in hell for you if you have done this. Thank you Preach for saying what a piece of shit they were!

That Blood Infusion tho... There are only a few scenarios where I could imagine myself being that dumb, one of them being: My parents are blood relatives. When I was 8 yrs old, a horse kicked me in the face, causing severe brain damage and since I couldn't eat, my parents gave me a solid lead popsicle to lick until my face healed up. Then when I was 14, the same horse kicked me in the face again because at this point, my mind was too far gone to have learned my lesson the first time. As if that wasn't bad enough, at the ripe 'ol age of 19, I began to develop Alzheimers. Absolute madness.

Where the GM & Raidleader would litterally scream profanity over voice at people during ToT progression and in the end start kicking people because we wiped at Lei-Shen heroic 1% on the last night of raiding before SoO released. Ending up destroying the entire guild leaving everyone guildless right before the new tier. I can't imagine a worse person than that to lead a guild & raids. I still wonder why I was in that guild for as long as I was.
Everything after 31:00 is comedy gold, and this is just the first episode I chose to listen to the end. It made me uncomfortable IRL and I was in fucking tiers over the extremely awkward social, RP guild stories.
My husband and daughter get me a dairy queen ice cream cake with green icing (my favorite color), a balloon, wow time cards or bnet balance cards and other little things I like. My daughter ALWAYS draws me a card. Shes become quite the artist...even breaks out the really expensive Copic markers. Only me and her Daddy are special enough to get art done with copics lol. I mostly play with grandma.. My gf and I play fairly casually but me much less casually than her. We didn't buy bfa until 8.1.5 but had instead been playing old content. We joined a guild after a guy offered to invite us and teach us stuff after wiping like 140 times in a pug +2 shrine of storms. My first key, I didn't know what they were since I had sat out legion. Only one guy in the group knew the dungeon at all, much less on m+. He was a saint to stay and teach everyone which is why I automatically accepted his g invite. It's a boomer guild. Half the guild is over 35 with kids. The other half is over 60. A few random members are like 12-16 and they get protected/helped since they are like the only 6 non toxic teenagers playing wow. maybe 15 of us are 20-35 and play at a higher performance level than anyone else. It's a pure boomer social guild. Sure it can't always get curve, sure half the member refuse to upgrade to discord from mumble, sure we can barely get a group together on any given night without pugging, and sure, we have to teach mechanics on every run. But it's purely fun, always happy, always nice, and has zero drama. We have very tentative scheduling but most guild activity is just random pickup groups from chat messages. I sit with discord and mumble open listening to 15 retired grandparents chatting and talking to the younger breeders about their kids. As my grandparents are all dead I absolutely love it. Our GM is like 65 and he makes sure to take all 40 of his toons to ride the Darkmoon rides every month. Not for perks, just because he thinks each toon deserves to have fun once a month.. Yea I have to join pugs if I want curve or to do higher keys etc, but it's nice always having random friendly people asking for help, sharing mats, or offering help. I love playing with granny

People coming back for 8.3 and just not being able to find a guild and trying to go solo for a while before giving up... it's kind of sad really. Turns out those cesspool guilds were a good way for people to actually socialize and form groups and teams to do M+ and then move on to better guilds once they'd got a bunch of friends to do stuff with. RIP.
