My hope is that that mage decides to log in to his abandoned BC character in Shadowlands and within 30 seconds a warrior runs past him, once again calls him a dick, and he logs off in shame one last time.
I was in a guild once and the GM decided we were going hardcore in the next xpac. We always managed to get around top 30 on the server (Oceanic server so that didn't mean much). So he decided we would all make groups that he set up and would all level hardcore together. I was in his group. Before it all started the GM told us to make sure we bring everything we need so we wouldn't need to leave the computer for any reason. Slowly he started to push this point including starting to mention to bring bottles to pee in. I assumed this was a joke and just blew it off. It comes to the day and we are leveling on when the first guy in my groups says "brb I need to pee". The GM said it should only take him 30 seconds to use a bottle. By that stage my mate had already headed to the toilet. The GM kicked him from the guild for not using a bottle and taking too long. There was a whisper war between the 2 but we continued on. I had a toilet pretty close to my computer so I had no issues quickly rushing to pee when I needed. We got to level cap and the GM kicked every member that didn't get to cap within one hour of us. After the kicking we had 9 members left (he kicked over 30 people). He then when on a recruiting spree messaging everyone at cap. Hardly anyone joined. It got to first raid and we didn't have enough people to raid and so the GM quit and joined another guild. As you can tell the guild died right there lol.
Our plan was "same server" that was it Some dudes group up, I ended up with one mate that no lifed it as hard as I did in the first week. We got to 42 then our schedules desynced so I wished him well and he capped weeks before me. Absolutely no issue, no tension. Most quit, including my no life mate, but some are still here. What can I say? Perfect plan. 10/10. Would plan again
What is with the people in chat that just bust in asking Shadowlands questions and shit in the middle of Drama Time? Do they just completely ignore what's going on on their screens or what lol

I dint know way untill he asked me to move to draenor server. He payed for my transfer even, and then went back to the old server and left me there on an overpopulated server. That was something that i still think about, and still do not know why he did it! COus we had an awsome time HC raiding, 3rd on the server back in the day. Leveling as group only works if no one is leveling their main, or you're helping a newbie you brought into the game. I had a great time in Vanilla when I and 4 of my friends made a full Druid team.
Damage meters and logs even were still problematic in Antorus with Eonar, we needed someone who was going up on the ship to also be logging or you'd lose them when they went up somtimes.
The team Australia story is so true. Blizzard gave us TWO servers at launch, one PvP and one PvE. They had to rush to give a third and then a fourth, and it wasn't enough still. Me and my bois ended up on yojamba, the third server added.
About the group of friends that were "supposed" to level together... you can't coordinate 8 people to level together. Its not possible. I feel for the guy that wanted to make it work, but its just impractical. Just get to 60 and raid together

I am 100% NOT giving shadowlands a shot. I'm done with the "what could go wrong" with blizzard at this point. I don't know how many times people can keep doing it but I will not any longer. Everything you think can go wrong 100% is going to. Blizzard doesn't care about what you think should happen.
Being GM, 2. Raidlead and lootmaster in classic killed the experience for me. The amount of nagging when it came to loot just made the game massively un-enjoyable
2nd story happend to myself, first we joined a server was full que we changed maybe twice then we started to play. I needed to use remote desktop and start wow from work played bit etc, gm that was an old wow friend told me all the time that he was going to help me lvl that never happend so needed to lvl myself everyone else had groups to play with but not me coz of work, I was going to be a maintank in the guild but joke on me when they then said I was lvling to slow and wanted me to dps instead at this time I was just so bored of the game and stopped, came back to retail wow where I actually have friends to play with. It took maybe 3months and that classic guild I was going to play with disbanded coz lack of intrest and that made me giggle 😅 I feel so bad but still somewhat happy that it didn't work out for them mainly coz they all the time said that they were going to help me threw dungeons etc they never did not a single time. So I lvled 1-59 all on my own when we said that we were going to play together and help eachoter if we fell behind
It was probably more common than most people realize, hard to say how it is nowadays because it's definitely still possible in classic but retail is a little different because most guilds below the top end use personal loot.
@@LeagueofWut no, it is forced and has been for a while. You can trade if it's lower ilvl (like you always can with personal) Also I doubt this is anywhere near common in classic. Coding these days is easy to understand and I fail to see how 20~40 guys would use a custom addon that wasn't checked by anyone else when you have perfectly good one's already made.
Once preach mentioned the "self made" damage meter, i knew shit was about to go down. I'm impressed no one used another damage meter and was confused they didn't show remotely the same damage.
if i understood correctly, the self made meter was supposed to count overall performance, not just damage, so the regular damage meter would ofcourse show lower numbers. to figure out the scam you would have to do exactly what happened in the story, compare damage of individual abilities.
@@pmkaboo2446 could be, but sounded like what preach said referred to the desync issues of old damage meters, which was why they used their own to ensure it showed correct data, no matter what and no one was cheated.

this sully guy sounds like a pretty bad software engineer, it really isnt that hard to write some code that checks your position on the meter and randomises the factor you buff your damage by so it seems more organic.

We had two full raids people recruited from 4 years on private servers and we chose one of the super high pop servers so most of them didn't bother joining. Seriously fuck Blizzard for trickling out the servers one at a time days after launch instead of putting them all up at once. Anyone with a brain knew they had way too few servers at launch.

And those ungrateful cunts decided to have an arguement about playing horde or alliance, after we had already agreed months ago which side) and the whole thing went tits up in less than an hour. Never bank on doing stuff with your friends. Do your own thing and hit up your friends for a dng or something later on after you got everything you want to do done.
