Drama time is one of those shows that I sometimes just sit down and binge the fuck out of while gaming, until I some story makes me cringe so much I just can't anymore, then I don't touch it until my next time binging it.
I think something better to learn is trying to not let it get to you when you have to carry. When you try your best to learn and progress, it can be really frustrating to have to "work" with people who don't make an effort or seem to care. That's the challenge for me.
Honestly i kinda like the final lesson, I have been in more elite guilds that can be fun at times but at other times if you try and have fun in a video game you will get shit on. But in wraith of the lich king i was a healer in a guild that struggled a bit. Other healers were shit so i had to carry hard but we were all friends I never shit on them for not knowing how to manage overheals and mana and we had a great freaking time. sooo there is some truth to it at least in my experience.
First watch on his Drama Time Series... this was better than playing during legion, MoP, and WoLK combine, like this was hilarious and great. Keep up the excellent work Preach :D
As an ex guild master, I'm not surprised by the second guy that disband the guild in the middle of the raid, the amount of pink text I got each time i log in was frustrating, no matter how tight and orderly you think you lead there will always be drama inside and outside the guild that you need to fix
I do like that the guy posted his lessons learned so everyone can correct what he was doing wrong (although I am 100% certain that is not why he posted them). Guy just seems like a social idiot but not an actual bad guy.
I mean we all can agree that during mythic progression its relaxing running with a way more casual guild cause you have a good time and you kinda carry the shit out of it wich also feels nice here and there^^
Had he not leaked drama the second time around he would have actually not been in the wrong there. If it would be a problem then the GM should be intelligent enough to doublecheck if he was serious about taking a break or not
I honestly think the poster for that second story was lying on a few details... Seems he was painting himself as some Adonis character surrounded by shit...
Damage meters really choked the client to varying degrees, esp on low-end systems. I definitely only used them sometimes back then. :P Anyway... the facepalms...
honestly i have thought about it over the last few weeks that maybe joining a chill heroic/ early mythic guild would be enjoyable. as i would be sort of looked up to, but then i realize i'd be held back in m+ and i'd basically jsut be bored as fuck. the issue also is that when you are a mythic raider/ CE raider, joining a low guild like that, you almost always end up being the raid leader
Well , he is right. Carrying bad players is a challenge and what makes it worse is that bad players dont realize they are bad. Main difference between bad players and noob players is that a noob player will learn and get better but a bad player will blame his performance on others or anything else but himself and doesnt take feedback basically they are the "you hurt muh feelings" by pointing out what they are doing wrong therefor you are wrong and I am right.
well my point is that, as long as you have fun, it's all good. And when people leave to other guilds, with them the best, and they might come back. It's the same in the working environment, just be nice to people, even if you'll never meet them again. It doesn't hurt at all, being nice and saying a good fare well, enjoying the times that you've spent together.
@@dramafun7549 I see your point but working spaces as analogy is not a good analogy because everyone fakes it and are not there for enjoyment and you are not investing your free time. By being nice to someone who doesnt want to listen and cooperate is saying "here shit all over my free time". You are not respecting the other player. I am not saying that the dude in the story is respecting people time but he does more to the community he's in than most so cutting him some slack would be expected.
That player in the second story “a man in need” is a terrible person. Be and egotistical bastard that can walk the walk, but when you are recording every conversation like it’s god damn Watergate... Yeah you don’t really care about the “social interaction” when you choose to burn down a guild TWICE.
To be fair, two of those guilds only cared about how he could help them. When he went off to do something for himself, they completely turned on him. I don't see how he's at fault for not wanting to work hours a day for them alone.
Damn, I did it wrong. My 1st toon in 2004 was a druid. Left in 2009 and came back in 2018 with my now main Ret Pally. I had no idea that girls were limited to priests. lol
I started with Dark Age of Camelot @preach and I would drop WoW for it in a heartbeat if they remastered and re-released it. I feel bad for people who didn't get to play it.
I don't think the man in need was that bad, he stated he had difficulties reading social cues, thinking it was normal to take 3 weeks off work hints at things that make sense from his actions. Aand at least he learnt a little.
This dramas really happened everywhere in BC? On my server there also was so much of it. Good thing I somewhere in between decided to only PvP from now on. So me and some 10 other only PvP guys made a guild and had fun.
Kinda disagree with you on your final conclusion preach. I mean you seem to be having a different attitude towards the game in general, but i started out as a druid tank in bc as well. I know for a fact that you can have a good social AND play experience by raising noobs who are capable of learning and understanding what you tell them. I had my share of progressive raiding and i kinda agree with the dude. Sometimes its just stress with nothing in return, especially when its a "business" guild that wants to do, wants to gear, wants to progress and barely anything more. Its constraining, its limiting, its draining, it creates and environment of blame, problem pushing and constant drama at the end of the day. Had my share of it. Enjoyed the successes, but ultimately the negatives outweight the positives. Its nowhere as free and friendly as just going out with some people and doing some stuff together, which (i may add) is completely impossible to do in the current iteration of the game with the sharding bs, with interlinked servers, with boost prevention and basically a hard cap to kill every form of actual social interaction and even rp inside the game.
but thats not really what the guy said, he didn't say its fun to play with lesser skilled friends in a more social guild helping them out getting better at the game and progressing and growing as a team. What he said was challenge is fun and its a challenge to carry shit players and if you are in a guild with more likeminded harcore players the game is easymode
@@harold926 that's the spin he put on it, read the original text, basically my oppinion is that as long as you have fun, even if there are players who aren't good, as long as you have a challenge, and having fun with the people you are raiding with. Then why not continue, it's all in good fun.
I love the writers reaction when leaving the first guild. AHA. Sure they might be annoyed the main tank is leaving.. but no need to start insulting and calling him a dick. Serves 'em right LOL
For the second story, "A Man in Need", why not go with the guy to the Sunwell if he would help them clear Illidan first? Seems like a win/win for both ends.
Why do all these team 2's not just ... leave? If you are in a team 2 that is doing better then team 1 and team 1 comes crying .... why do as team 1 wants? I don't get it.
Idk, i get that they'd be mad that he left without any warning, but giving a timeline of being back in 2 weeks (4-6 raid days depending on how long they raided), with all the Sunwell goodies to make their Illidan fight even easier, since they clearly struggled without him, doesn't warrant the shitshow they threw. They're all shitty people in that one: give warning before leaving, fucking step your game up if 1 person is making or breaking a 25 man raid.
took down kil'jaeden before nerfs. four or five expansions before ahead of the curve actually gave people a reason to be tryhards beyond sweet loot and the challenge. *slow clap*

Wtf !! If a guy did that to me I would have logged in to his share information after I changed my password .. then cleaned out his account. Then I would have sent him in game mail ... Get a magnifying glass and some tweezers and find your balls.
I mean, is the other guy wrong? Go ahead and do a mything Ny'alotha pug run. It will be much harder than doing it with your regular raid team. World first you say? How about world first pug run? :^)
Girl in need, there are 2 options here. Nr1: Talk to the memer's for help I'm sure nothing bad will happen... xD Nr 2: Put him on ignore but keep the discord and stay in the guild while on a second account spend the rest of your day's learning how to pvp, join a pvp guild and, with their hopeful help, farm his ass in to oblivion on your alt. I'd go with nr 2.
yes he is still working on them they just take a really long time to make them, because reasons like ghosty not being part of the team so he doesn't have someone working on them while he is streaming 4/5 days a week, he has stepped up in raiding rank compared to legion meaning he has to put a lot more time into the game with alts and everything and the recent events like casting the world first races etc thats why we haven't had one in quite a while
Irl wife... I think he also has a lot of irl hobbies and irl stuff to do... @ The writer of story 1: We could use a guild farmer tho and we all will love you for that... interested? xD
the "A man in need" story, this guy reckons he cleared karazhan with team 2, no dps warlocks to root out, inside of 2 weeks? Very unlikely, possible, but very unlikely. Then Sunwell in 2 weeks? nah, don't buy it
Why have I always scrolled past Drama Time? This is the best WoW content out there. Commutes just became 100x better. Thank you sir.
