hello, great video. very helpful. I have a question. when installing the piston, should the arrow be towards the flywheel? or towards the timing belt? best regards
I do not know that. I need to find out. Looks like 8v engine blocks keep cracking where 16v never had this problem. I was thinking to buy a 16v engine block but I am not 100% sure it will fit.
Nice choice of music for the video!
Thank you

Thanks for sharing
Hi, yes, it is oil pressure switch.
Do the 16v and the 8v have the same engineblock and crank?

Hello, currently on the same engine but in Mazda 3 BK. Where did you/I could find all the torque values for majority of the engine?
I used Ford PTS.
@@the-senior-tech Could you share more details (ie the exact title of the book and which model year you looked at) or where could I get it?
Hi.do u have to adjust the taps?
What taps?
What's the torque specs for the piston rod caps in nm?
Stage1: 10Nm
Stage2: Loosen 180°
Stage3: 10Nm
Stage4 130°
What was the reason you rebuilt it? Broken/cracked cylinder sleeve?
Yes ;-) Cracked cylinder bore. Driving to long with headgasket issue or faulty injector.
@@the-senior-tech same situation with my engine, 149 kkm, first owner… resleeved all 4 cylinders or just one cracked?
Replaced engine block as had one spare with big end bearing issue ;-) @shakemum
