Ryan, i believe that nowdays, you are the man with the most high knowledge at e39, in the world. Not even the men that worked at the factory production line.. Keep up the good work, you inspire us to maintain our e39s the way we should, and the way they deserve.
This car is one and only example!! I have seen this car in person and I can tell you this video does not do it justice! The car looks like it just came out of the dealer showroom! Unbelievable, gorgeous example. Congrats to the owner and great job to Ryan as always. 👌
Our multi-point inspection is the most thorough inspection available anywhere. At 105-112 points (varying by vehicle model/type), we provide a comprehensive level of detail on every element on the vehicle including wheels/tires, brakes, suspension, driveline, engine/transmission/differential, chassis, interior, electronics, paint/body, etc. The inspection process takes 4-6 hours and includes a consulting session to develop a restoration plan and is billed at $500 flat.
I'm not exactly sure what painting method was used, but it's an excellent repair that didn't involve blending into other panels. I imagine it was a small spray local to the damaged area that was blended into the rest of that door.
@ I wish I’m in New Hampshire and originals even beat ones are 3k and that’s with crazy curb rash, some one needs to have the balls to manufacture good ones lol
I'm in NZ too, it's a struggle with OEM BMW wheels and the mark ups guys ask. There are companies out there that do but I think I better off with the current wheels.@@A2Bproductions1
Ryan, does your experience bear out that BMW V8 cam timing components and engine oil seals have far longer service life with oil service closer to 6k mile interval?
Engine reliability is almost ALL about oil change intervals. BMW recommended what, 10-15k intervals? That's preposterous. I'm a huge advocate of 5-6k mile oil services with Castrol full synthetic 10w60 (M5) and 5w30 (540i/530i/525i/528i). For vehicles not driven 5-6k miles annually, the oil should still be changed after 12 months. This will help the timing components last longer, but replacement will still be required. These days, if the chains/guides are still original, they're due. We just saw a beautifully maintained 2003 M5 with 143k miles suffer engine failure due to timing chain guide failure. We removed the #3 piston in pieces no larger than your big toe.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
The original machine had a base plate of pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the panametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzlevanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented.
The I6 E39s have a heat shield near those hoses, so they do last longer. The rubber will still degrade as a function of time, however. 540is are even more susceptible to this, so stainless lines are a must on those.
It is starting to warp a touch, though I don't think it's notable enough to justify replacement or re-covering (that won't perfectly match the rest of the dashboard).
Happy new year chaps , quick question for anyone , my 525i 2002 petrol estate only has the front left speaker working , where do you start to find that fault ?
Happy new year! I would use INPA to run a test on the amplifier. Also check all of the amplifier connections for corrosion/damage. You may need a new amp or radio module.
@E39Source thank you!! Do you have a link to the one you recommend? It's funny you say that because I can hear plastic parts rattling in my headlights.
nice car , i have an e39 540i 01 m sport ll suspension (S705A) , i want to replce all 4 struts. and sachs they dont make S705A can i replace them with S704A or i will have issues ? and what the issues ?
S705A struts are the E39 M5 and 540i M-Tech (USA 2003) struts. They are not available from Sachs, but are from BMW directly. I would recommend purchasing those. Going to S704A (standard sport package struts) will dramatically change drivability. I have those on my 540i and it's significantly softer (and floatier) compared to my M5.
@ my car is euro spec ( japan) all the lci 540s M-Tech came with S705A. I find them on fcp euro they will cost me only for the struts 2500$ without the other parts and that’s too expensive is it worth ? or there’s better options ?
@@smok6430 They are expensive struts, yes. I justify the cost for the name of originality, but I realize that many don't. Koni Yellow and Bilsteins are decent alternatives, though they have their own weaknesses.
problem is the arse has fell out of them i have one its 2 owners i have had it since 2004 so 20 years ish 77k on the clock we buy any car offered 13 400 quid i would rather burn it than give it to them for that peanut money in the uk
Pretty much a perfect example of how amazing the craftsmanship on the M5 really is. Carbon Black is definitely one of my favorites!
Mmm, carbon black with a full leather interior. That is one exquisite M5.

ive seen hundreds of videos on the e39. this is by far the most perfect one ever!
But like Matt Farah said about his E46, you can't drive the thing anymore because it's so nice 😂.
superb as always, that side profile at 1:28 is just, perfect. Love the work you do!
In E39 world - it really doesn't get much nicer than this, 23+ years later.
Absolute stunner of an example!
Gorgeous example. The owner’s investment bringing this car back to like-new condition is money well-spent.
Simply amazing Ry!! Thanks for sharing this beauty with us! 😍

Amazing work, Ryan. Beautiful machine, congrats to the owner! 🎉

Great job on this M5 !
Can you share the part reference for the ABS stainless steel brake hoses please ?
Visit UUC's website and search for the brake hoses under 5 series>E39. Thanks for your kind words and support!
Looks like you just picked it up from the dealer new 😮

If this goes on sale it will be like 80k or more
Chuck those front seats and replace with some beautiful e38 contours.
Wish there was a e39 source in my state haha take my money
How was the door repaired without spraying? I have two similar scratches on my vehicle and would prefer not to repaint it. Thanks.

Where can I obtain good m5 rep wheels my m5 came with m pars I want to originals
I am not aware of any quality replica Style 65s.
Get originals and just refurb them

Gorgeous car, will it be driven?
He does drive his cars! Not a ton though, clearly.
Where do you source the rubber door sills? My 2000 M5’s are toast and I can’t seem to find replacements.
The rubber piece is not sold separately, but is included with the entire sill.
Can you by any chance share the 110 point checklist?
Unfortunately I cannot, I have been fine tuning our MPI template for many years and it is reserved for our customers who proceed with our inspection.

What's with the front passengers side dash air bag, the top left hand seems to be raised, is that warping ??

What did all if this cost the owner to have done?
I can't share his investment in the car, but E39 M5 restorations range from $6,000-$65,000. Each vehicle has wildly different needs.
Hey bud, long time fan. I'm having trouble with my 2003 530i's front head lights. They point downwards when I drive. Do you have any suggestions??
Thanks! Your headlight adjusters are likely broken. I recommend replacement of the headlights with the European version (clear lens corners).
