en es i hope. im not going back 2 console. I just wish all multiplayer games were multi platform. were pc, can play with xbox, playstation or nintendo.
FFX prequel with Jechct-Auron-Braska party would be really cool I think. Or if they want to go Waaay back to an earlier pilgrimage and explore Spira hundreds of years earlier that could be really interesting.
I'm already crying thinking of what would be the ending of this game. Braska's sacrifice, Jecht becoming the new Sin and Auron losing against Yunalesca, and asking Kimahri to watch over Yuna before dying... Summoning a real Final Eon would be awesome too !
@Sven Maas Dq? What's that? Edit: oh please tell me your not talking about Dragon Quest. As someone who plays RPGs constantly, you can't compare any DQ storyline to FFX. There is not a single good character arc in any DQ game. Ever. The best it ever produced was DQ monsters.
No. The main characters at least are some of the weakest. Although, this game came out during a time when voice direction was not as great or has the kind of finesse that it has now.
They might have names in the internal papers somewhere. For example clouds mom in FF7 was never mentioned by name, but in some development sketches you could read that her name is actually "Claudia". In the remake they put that name in the game :)
since yunas mom would be cids sister her name is probably “cidster”. considering she is al bhed that translates into “letcdan”....so there you go. tidus mom was so heads over heels into jecht she probably forgot her name. god knows she forgot her son.
In all due respect I would have loved a prequel too. But the way they fleshed out Yuna in FFX-2 was damn near flawless. Sure Its a charlie's angels copout with FF elements but looking past it's goofy exterior I genuinely enjoyed the tale it told. I personally enjoyed playing both games.
@James Gravil game prequels aren't the same as movie prequels. There are quite a few good game prequels out there, some even being better than the original, such as Lufia II.
Yes!!! Seeing the story between the sphere memories... and i also wanted to know the link between Lord zion & yunalesca to Lene & tidus(whatever was his real name lol) I know there is one but i would have love to see how it happened...
A prequel to FFX during Braska's pilgramage has always been a thought of mine after I completed FFX for the 1st time. Imagine playing Blitzball as the Legend himself 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
I feel like the game would likely have to be a game that played akin to Strangers of Paradise. It wouldn't work as an RPG like FFX without a cast of 6-7.
@@immortalsoul5404 FFX has been one of my favorite games since release. I think I have owned it on 3 different systems and beaten it at least 4 times. I played the first chapter of FFX2 for the first time last week... I don't often put games aside with no intention to return to them, but I think that may be the case here...
"The fan response to Eternal Calm is what made them decide to make the first direct sequel." A fun story, but no. What made them decide to do it was because they put all their eggs in one basket. And that basket was The Spirits Within, one of the most notorious flops in cinematic history. The ship of Squaresoft now have a colossal iceberg-shaped hole in it. They no longer had the luxury of "artistic integrity," they had to do what they could to keep the company afloat. So they *had* to do what some would consider a cashgrab with a direct sequel. Which still wasn't enough, they also had to merge with Enix to completely patch that iceberg-shaped hole.
Sorry about that! You never know though... right? Square Enix has always said they listen to "Fan Demand" and if Final Fantasy X-0 is something that starts getting traction, they would be remiss to ignore that. ~Darryl
Or they could go really off the wall & release a game set in the ancient war between Summoners & Machina . Letting players explore the real Zanarkand in it's full glory, maybe meet Lenne, witness the birth of Sin & end with the player character joining the survivors in becoming the Faith on Gagazet.
see, I actually heard that a long time ago they planned on doing exactly that. But then said "Everyone knows the ending, it wouldn't be good" As the ending would be the birth of Sin.
@@dragames It's funny, that. In Star Wars' case, when George Lucas made the prequel trilogy, he didn't think no one would like it because they knew Anakin would end up becoming Darth Vader. And fans weren't concerned solely with how it ended; they went into the prequels to see how it all began and how the journey took place. That's exactly what I would love to see with FFX-0. I want to see how Sin came to be in more detail, how the pilgrimage's started, and everything in between. And I would love to see more of Braska, Auron and Jecht, since two of those are my favorites in X-1, but there's so much more potential to be had years prior.
@@RogueSeraph in all fairness this would be a little bit more than just a character dying after a certain point in the story you going to know every event that's going to happen in sequence and I can see why they would say that not a whole lot of people would enjoy it
they all have excelent stories, especiallly for such 'minor' characters in the scheme of things. Jecht boils down to (over the hill footballer who drinks and doesnt know how to say i love you) and yet you still imagine him being a good father to little infant tidus. Braska is (got fired cause inter-racial marriage man who keeps doing his job even though people hate him for it) and even so he seems like this cool chill dude and not at all what you'd think someone who's entier life had fallen to pieces and felt that sacrificeing himself was the only way to make life better for his daughter. Auron... i actually dont remember what auron did to piss off the monks; other than refuse to marry someone. I always wondered why he was considered an outcast even before the pilgrimage, even though he was basically the most normie guy to ever normie up till he figured out what the final aeon was. i mean it writes itself. Its a roadtrip movie waiting to happen. They pulled it off with 15, they can do it again
I'm just not sure what you could do with a story about Braska and Co. The main thing that makes Yuna and Tidus' journey in X so memorable compared to prior Summoners is that they make enemies of the Church of Yevon, wind up collaborating with the Al Bhed to permanently get rid of Sin, kill just about every important figure in Spiran history, and also discover the truth about Dream Zanarkand. You can't really have Braska's party do any of that because Braska goes along with Yevon's deception, ultimately giving up his life to use the Final Aeon and perpetuate the cycle. As far as we know, the only issues Yevon had with him is that he was unpopular due to marrying an Al Bhed woman, but he wasn't actively being hunted down like Yuna was after killing Seymour. You'd have to pull a Crisis Core and introduce some previously unmentioned guy like Genesis to be the antagonist that Braska and Co. defeat on their way to dealing with Sin.
Also wouldn't the player have to do the exact same temple challenges again :D I mean I guess you could switch them up a bit, or change the trial layout / look. Maybe Yevon has some money for renovations.
Indeed, this is one of those things where I feel if a X-0 were to be told, it would be better as a movie or a book as opposed to a game. I totally agree, it just would not make sense to me unless they added that previously unseen villain you mentioned. If they were to do prequel merch, I would definitely prefer the novella format over the idea of a game. We already know what happened, all that's needed to be done is flesh out the elements of it and that's basically it. I would be on board for another sequel game though, one that gives us the children of the cast present in the first and second games as playable characters. To me, this is the route that makes sense when it comes to the Spira saga. A new threat on the world and new places to explore makes more sense than treading familiar ground and going back in time 10 years. Still, if they ever do a 10-3, I want nothing more than to have that crappy audio drama be removed from canon though because it absolutely sucked and basically destroyed a perfectly written story by adding in characters that were poorly written one-shots.
Exactly, a FFX prequel game with Braska's party sounds good in theory, but in actual practice/play it wouldn't be good at all. We already know way too much about Braska's journey, not only the destination, but all the major twists and turns of it as well. There are small things they could expand on, but because we know how things already pan out, they can't really go all that far with them either (for example, Auron turning down the marriage proposal he received). If they were to go down the prequel route, they would have to go farther back to the days when Sin was first created. We already have some bare bones plot knowledge to work with, and there would be some familiar characters, but they would hold different roles within the story this time. There would be somewhat familiar landscapes as well, but they would be different due to the difference in time and culture. So this would extend to the races and peoples that we see within Spira as well, like the Al Bhed. Their origins would be so cool to explore! That would be a prequel idea that would have a lot of meat to it, while still being connected quite heavily to both FFX and FFX-2.
That's just an excuse. I remember reading they almost were near bankruptcy especially after their high budget movie flopped. So they chose to sacrifice FFX's story by making something that would attract more players. Probably by emulating other successful games at the time and saving their company by making FFX-2. That's why the game is so different and why character development was just thrown away entirely. A bold sacrifice of their (at the time) best selling game FFX in order to save their company. Also another reason why they got mixed up with Disney I believe.
@@rogermelian its just beining a hypocrite thats all im trying to say. i loved ffx but .2 isn't high on mine list but not for the all female cast i didnt like the episode/chapter upset of the game.
I’ve been playing Final Fantasy X for the first time and I was thinking “man it would be really cool to have a prequel where you follow Braska, Auron, and Jecht”
@@SwainBjornstrandt Got it backwards. Sin IS yevon having possessed the final aeon. That's what sin is Both of them together. They just blamed it on Machina as to why he went on a weird killing spree.
Hey, thanks for giving the Legends of the Crystals anime a shoutout ^_^ I own it in the form of VHS and Prettz and Linaly are my two favorite kid protagonists. Fun fact: The voice actor/actress for Prettz and Linaly are Matt Miller and Sherry Lynn who did the English dubbed versions of the Tenchi Muyo series. Matt voiced Tenchi and Sherry voiced Sasami. Thanks for the upload.
FFX was the first in the series I played, and from there I went both newer and older. I couldn't be happier starting on the game I did, and having more content in that universe would be... unfathomably wonderful, emotionally stunning. Spira was the home where I was raised to love Final Fantasy, and where I'll always return!
I want the story to go further 😭 There is so much more they added, Especially with that extra story they added with the audio book in the X/X-2 menu and the book
One of my all time favorites and some of my most vivid childhood memories is playing ffx and getting hella stuck fighting Anima the first time. I'd love any content coming from this that isn't ffx2 lol
I liked X-2 for what it was, I would have preferred this though. However I can see reasons why SE wouldn't want to pull the trigger on this, you'll be demystifying Auron to an incredible degree and has the potential of ruining his character from X. Imo of course.
I don't want to play a crybaby auron, we already know how he became a badass let it stay that way and we already know their journey through the jecht sphere, for me nothing interesting for prequel but a sequel that let us travel to the past that I would dig
That’s so true. I personally liked X-2 and think they made a good decision at the time. This would have been a great story to play, but you’re so right. Auron’s edginess would have been reduced and it would have altered the view of him in X.
@Kevin G exactly, for all of their faults I think SE knew to leave Auron as the mysterious badass while only giving snippets of deeper history/lore in an optional manner (The Jecht Spheres) As for the FF7 stuff, I can't really comment as I honestly just don't remember right now (only woke up 20 mins ago and I only played 7 once) but does it does sound annoying from a story telling perspective.
FFX had such a unique world that deserved way more games in that setting, both before, during, and after Sin came to be. The war between Bevelle and Zanarkand, the journey that Jecht, Braska, and Auron took, and the hint that Sin may have returned even after Yuna had defeated it. All of these could have been explored and expanded upon, I seriously don't understand why we haven't gotten another game set in the FFX world, not even any media like a manga or anime or ANYTHING of that nature even though this world is so RICH with incredibly lore!
As far as lore goes, it would be nice to expand the backstory of Tidus, Yuna, and Seymour’s mothers. Having more about Rikku’s family would be nice as well. *SPOILERS* Zanarkand and Dream Zanarkand are the most pivotal locations in story, if only to explore more of that during their prime. Especially about Lenne and Shuyin. Possibly more about the previous high summoners and their inevitable doom. Especially, Lady Yocun who would also be the Sin that Braska fights.
I just don’t see a prequel story with Jecht, Braska and Auron working. We pretty much got all we needed from the first game about their journey. The only story I could see them exploring with them is before their journey where Braska married Yuna’s mum, Auron refusing a Priest’s daughter’s hand in marriage and Jecht getting to Spira. If we were to get a Final Fantasy X-0, I think a story set in the Real Zanarkand, 1000 years ago exploring Shuyin and Lenne would be more interesting to see
Two prequels I feel would work extremely well for X is specifically this or we get a game about the Zanarkand Bevelle war and it stars Yunalesca and lord Zaon. The war has so much wiggle room to work with, could easily show us Yu Yevon's transformation, the creation of fake Zanarkand, etc. I think both would be excellent picks. Also the reason that all male wouldn't be there because Yunalesca would be the main protag.
Maybe a book about Braska’s journey would’ve been good. But honestly, it’s fine to just let the game be standalone with no extra material as well. Spira’s world felt complete even though it was still pretty mysterious. I enjoyed X-2 because I liked seeing how the world would adjust to life without Sin and seeing Yuna come out of her shell a bit was cool. But I would’ve been fine if X didn’t have a follow up as well.
Especially that terrible story they made for what took place after X-2. If that would have been a sequel I would have disregarded it entirely and get a refund lol
I’ve been a big fan of Jecht’s character ever since I played dissidia where he was a playable character, so the chance to see braska’s pilgrimage would be an amazing opportunity to learn more about him and why his relationship with Tidus is the way that it is
I would love to go on a journey with Auron, Jecht and Braska again. Just imagine doing all the hard AF tasks for their legendary weapons and armors. Imagine a new monster arena with bosses harder than nemesis and penance. And the grinding to complete the biggest sphere grid ever.
I watch this channel so often that I've started liking your videos before watching them. I already know I'll love it. Thanks for unbiased and informative videos. You're great for the fandom 🤗
Considering that 7 had two spin-offs featuring male leads (and only male leads if I remember correctly) in Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core (it's been a while, I may be wrong) why not do a FFX-0 I realize these aren't mainline games of the series, but perhaps title it differently, Final Fantasy X Dreams of the Past, or something. Crisis Core acted as a prequel to 7 so why not do something similar? Great video as always!
Well because unlike FFX-0 we don't go through the same exact pilgrimage. The catch is those stories follow unique paths and layouts... but the pilgrimage is a set thing we have directly experienced in the same order. This means exploration and the like is hampered. Gameplay is reliant on the set of 3 characters which is very difficult to keep interesting through the explored world as it is literally just battle to battle retracing steps. We already know the beginning, the end, and that stuff happened in the middle... we need to expand on the writing in the middle while also having every sphere happen. This is one of the most difficult things to create in existence as it has little to no breathing room being so recent it is hard for the world stuck in a cycle to change/breathe any. It is like trying to redesign your house, but you can't touch literally anything. Zack though was mostly a mystery. Yes we got bits and pieces... but we never got big details. We got pieces which pictured a route... but his route was separate. This gave him his own story and options. He could go do literally anything and it wouldn't have restrictions.
Surprised so many people want the Braska pilgrimage as a full game. We know their story and all the big moments were already shown or told to us. Not much left to learn there. But I would like another FFX game.
its must be interesting if they release x-0. i'd like to know wheter Jecht realize he's a "dream" or not, and what affect Jecht can also aplicable to tidus
I love the story of jecht, auron, and braska's pilgrimage together. I always thought a game based off of it would be amazing. X-2 really wasn't that great, in fact it was incredibly cheesy. I really wish they did this instead. I think they made the wrong move. I hope there's still a chance this eventually comes out, but it's looking very slim.
It should be made as a spinoff game, like an ARPG, hack n slash, or tactics or something. That way it can come out alongside a proposed X-3 that utilizes a similar turn based system like the originals without conflicting or encroaching on the market share. Also, I would like to tear things up as Auron and Jecht. Maybe a multiplayer co-op adventure like Crystal Chronicles even?
Square in 2013: _"a main-line game with an all male party? Pfft... No."_ Square in 2016: *RELEASES FFXV* _"Girls would interfere with the bro-trip dynamic"_ Me in 2020: *FACEPALMS*
To be fair you do get temporary female party members, but yeah it is funny that a reason why they didn't make one spin-off is like the entire reason behind one of their main games 😂😂
@@pickedceasar1216 I did think of mentioning it, but in the end you get them as guests for such a brief period that it still didn't really make that big a difference imo... It was still a bro-trip fantasy through and through. But sometimes I swear Square has some sort of policy about making up dumb excuses like that instead of just saying: "Oh... we didn't think of that..." or "We made a bet and it didn't pay off" 😂😂 That or Toriyama REALLY likes his female characters as we've seen with FF13...
Coffee Insomnia yeah that's kinda what I figured just thought I'd mention it. But yeah it's like Square have no idea how to answer questions correctly 😂😂
It doesn’t even have to start with the pilgrimage. It could start with the separate stories or Jecht in zanarkand, auron being disgraced, and braska and yunas mother. There could be other temporary party members ect
I like how FFX-2 turned out. I think it's more interesting to look at Spira's future and Yuna's character development rather than seeing the same cultures and traditions in a FFX prequel with Braska, Jecht, and Auron. If there were to be a prequel, I think it would be more exciting if it were centered around the Machina War where we can see how Sin was born
to be fair tho: ffxv had a strong, plot-relevant female main character ....wait, what do you mean our budget ran out and we are 15 months behind schedule? nevermind
At first thought a game about Braska, Jecht and Auron sounds fun, but thinking about it... lots of their pilgrimage was already covered during the original game, I personally have no desire to do a retread on that.
As much as I've always wanted this I would really like to see more of pre-apocalypse Spira. Maybe the journey of Yunalesca, she has quite the story as the temples didn't even exist yet so where did she get the summons and how exactly did her father create Sin?
I really want a ffx-3 with the return of seymour To many, he is annoying or weak as a villain but he is very underrated He is very powerful and unlike other villains he has a justified reason to be who he is In this channel you did a video about that, in wich Yuna and seymour grow in the "same" background but turned to be entirely diferent personalitys
It wasn't that long ago that I sat down and played FFX and FFX-2. Can't say I really enjoyed either game but played through them regardless. One thing that really struck me was the idea of a prequel. Thanks for the video!
The fact that they thought they would have to justify an entirely male cast, while being able to make an all female cast freely with no dread of reprisal... is very telling
I would LOVE a really well written novel about braskas pilgrimage, switching between Point of Views in each chapter, it would be a good seller if the book was well written.
I would love a Braska pilgrimage game. I always wondered what was going through all of there minds as they got closer to the end and then then end. Someone make it and take my money
Tbh I never could see how FFX-2 could be considered a sequel to FFX let alone a proper one. They literally killed the whole title's spirit, threw away all the characters we grew fond of while introducing a totally random main character instead. And how the fuck did Yuna go from being a serious summoner to a pop singer fighting with guns? HOW !? Who thought that was a good idea & a natural development omg !
They really don't want to make one considering everyone knows the story already and feel like it wouldn't have a lot too offer. They could do so muuuch. Imagine playing Auron while he has to make his way to Bevelle injured and fighting. Only for the story to end where he dies and then the FFX story starts up. Maybe see some insight to how Auron raised Tidus after Jecht becomes Sin and Tidus's mom dies. Sorry, done rambling.
Imagine playing as auron without the experience backing him up. I'd imagine Jecht was the one who carried that team with Braska keeping him in line so his ego didn't get the better of him.
With the audio drama that came with FFX:Re its a novel idea that there could be a prequel/sequel. One that flashes back to Braska, Jecht and Auron and one that follows Chiuami and Kergum (since Chiuami claims to be a daughter of Auron). With sprinklings of the in-between for FFX/X-2 it would be a great way for story expansion AND some closure.
I'd love a prequel about Yevon and the people around him. What made Yevon want to create Dream Zanarkand and Sin, what was his emotional attachment, etc.
i'm wondering if there was or will be a novel or series of novels concentrating on showing what went on with the characters of final fantasy 7 or 8 after the events of those games,i'd like to find out what all happened
What I would really like to see is a XIII-2 style journey through time, perhaps from the perspective of one of the Fayth. This would allow for plenty of short stories about how Sin was born, various attempts of the Fayth to throw a soul from Zanarkand into Spira - perhaps even a conspiracy that the only summoners to bring calm were ones guarded by such souls. While I would enjoy a story about Braska, Auron & Jecht, it wouldn't make sense to follow them closely for a 40h+ game, unless they change the story underpinnings so much, that Braska's actions paved the way to allow Sin to be defeated on the next iteration. From the Sequences we see in the game, that is simply not the case, and there is a certain inevitability that would ruin the story. Imagine when Tidus washed up on Besaid they say - "hey dude, fancy going on a trip to Zanarkand? Yuna is going to die, and closer to the time choose one of us to give our life just before."
While I wouldn’t have minded them to explore Jecht’s, Braska’s & Auron’s pilgrimage, I don’t think it was entirely necessary. You see a great deal of their journey already in the base game. A game following the first true pilgrimage would’ve been must more interesting. The second summoner to defeat sin after Yunalesca.

They had an easy out to throw in a camera-shy female character or two: there are several scenes where *someone* other than the main three *must* be doing the recording... just saying...
The spheres are self-recording, hence you see characters move to turn on / off in the recordings. You can see this especially in the sphere Yuna makes for Tidus during their journey together that he finds later in FFX.
My favorite in the series, mainly because the characters were all so well written, all had their moments to shine. I loved and want a FF7R - esque remake
I'd like it as a book or a mini animated series. Only because as a game, you'd already have played through the same map as before, as the pilgrimage takes the same routes, aside from the starting point (Braska's starting in Bevelle)
I still want that game. I wanted to see more of this bromantic triangle since I found out about the jeccht spheres, and I want it even more now, after having played some of the dissidia games and seeing this video.

since yunas mom would be cids sister her name is probably “cidster”. considering she is al bhed that translates into “letcdan”....so there you go.
tidus mom was so heads over heels into jecht she probably forgot her name. god knows she forgot her son.
A prequel based in the Machina war would be a dream come true for me
I'm still bummed we never got the Final Fantasy X prequel from Auron, Braska, and Jecht's perspective.
@James Gravil no way, the Star Wars prequels are great!
@Mr. S X-2 has mixed feelings yuna and rikku as the lead role I mean was okay but I liked lulu better. And tuna singing was just different to me
@Mr. S I liked ffx 2, the only thing that I disliked was the music 😭 missed nobuo uematsu, but in that time he was busy with kh2 😢
I always thought it'd be cool to see and/or play Jecht's journey through Spira instead of just reading about it
I agree
I thought it would've been cool but from Auron's perspective, since it would be too similar if it was Jecht's. Auron goes through quite a lot.
Yes!!! Seeing the story between the sphere memories... and i also wanted to know the link between Lord zion & yunalesca to Lene & tidus(whatever was his real name lol) I know there is one but i would have love to see how it happened...
It would be even more cool if FFX-0 had three different playable stories for Lord Braska, Jecht, and Auron, kinda like Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep!
You’re so right
A prequel to FFX during Braska's pilgramage has always been a thought of mine after I completed FFX for the 1st time.
Imagine playing Blitzball as the Legend himself 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
I feel like the game would likely have to be a game that played akin to Strangers of Paradise. It wouldn't work as an RPG like FFX without a cast of 6-7.
I'm a simple man, I see anything FFX related I click like.
Same
Me just except for X2
@@immortalsoul5404 FFX has been one of my favorite games since release. I think I have owned it on 3 different systems and beaten it at least 4 times. I played the first chapter of FFX2 for the first time last week... I don't often put games aside with no intention to return to them, but I think that may be the case here...
it is so nice to stil see videos about ffx
except maybe the drama CD.
“We can’t have a game with only playable male characters.”
*makes FFXV*
Correction: "we can't have a game with only playable Older male characters. Boy bands on road trips are totally fine." LoL
Thank you. lol
NafNav32 That’s exactly why I’m reluctant to play it. Heard it’s good but if the story is basically a dude-bro road trip, I couldn’t care less.
I’ll give it a chance then. But where are the strong women with huge boobs?
I’m 30 and proud of my sexuality, but hey, I’m open to a game about just guys too, as long as it’s well executed.
I wanted this the minute I beat FFX!
When I saw the title and thumbnail my heart jumped I thought we were about to get this game
Sorry about that! You never know though... right? Square Enix has always said they listen to "Fan Demand" and if Final Fantasy X-0 is something that starts getting traction, they would be remiss to ignore that. ~Darryl
Final Fantasy Union square only makes stuff if they see money in it not because Some fans want it sadly
@@dragames People knew Zack was gonna die protecting Cloud in FF7 Crisis Core...and that shit still had me in tears like a little girl.
i would love a game about shuyin seeing what he was like before he was was turned into a monster
@@RogueSeraph in all fairness this would be a little bit more than just a character dying after a certain point in the story you going to know every event that's going to happen in sequence and I can see why they would say that not a whole lot of people would enjoy it
I'd love to see the story of the 3 guys. Auron has a fascinating story and I really enjoy Jecht in Dissidia.
they all have excelent stories, especiallly for such 'minor' characters in the scheme of things.
I wanted it in aurons perspective
this is what i've wanted ever since completing ffx !!! i wish they made this game jecht, braska and auron were such cool and interesting characters !
I always wanted a prequel detailing Ject’s story.
0:10 Amano's Kimahri art is GREAT
I think the prequel would be great! There is so much there to be discovered.

Toriyama *What can I do for you...What can I do for you...*
The original FFX was amazing & I am so ready for a prequel being FFX-0 playing as Braska, Auron & Jecht.
They didn't want to make a FFX prequel with an all male cast... but then they (SE) made FFXV.
Ok...
Also another reason why they got mixed up with Disney I believe.
they didn't want to make an all male cast ffx preqeul so they made an all female cast ffx seqeul ;)
@@iancavalje8928 which was THE best decision, of course.
@@rogermelian its just beining a hypocrite thats all im trying to say.

i didnt like the episode/chapter upset of the game.
XV is supposed to be titled as Brotherhood. Imagine a female in it? Does it make sense?
I’ve been playing Final Fantasy X for the first time and I was thinking “man it would be really cool to have a prequel where you follow Braska, Auron, and Jecht”
I am so ready to relive the Braska journey
I’d love to see a full story about Braska’s pilgrimage. I don’t know if it needs to be a game per se, but something could be interesting
If they’re gonna do a prequel, it should be about the Machina War because that’s what created Sin in the first place.
Thissss
Yevon Possesing the Aeons is what created Sin. Yevon has a God complex
No. That did not create Sin. This was the lie Bevelle used. The priests used machina too.

I want the story to go further 😭
There is so much more they added,
Especially with that extra story they added with the audio book in the X/X-2 menu and the book
I would die for a remake, I get so emotional every time I revisit this beautiful masterpiece.
@Kevin G exactly, for all of their faults I think SE knew to leave Auron as the mysterious badass while only giving snippets of deeper history/lore in an optional manner (The Jecht Spheres)
As for the FF7 stuff, I can't really comment as I honestly just don't remember right now (only woke up 20 mins ago and I only played 7 once) but does it does sound annoying from a story telling perspective.
I didn't know that there was a high summoner Gandalf. That's badass
*SPOILERS*
Zanarkand and Dream Zanarkand are the most pivotal locations in story, if only to explore more of that during their prime.
After beating the X remaster on my PS4 I tried out X-2. Needless to say I went back to X-1 real quick
@@necrocyborg5453 maybe it just wasn't for you. the battle system in x-2 is the peak of the ATB and class system that the classic games employed
I’ve been a big fan of Jecht’s character ever since I played dissidia where he was a playable character, so the chance to see braska’s pilgrimage would be an amazing opportunity to learn more about him and why his relationship with Tidus is the way that it is
If we can't get X-0, maybe we could get some origins videos about Jecht and Braska 👀
I would love if they made a game with their story. I’d be open to a prequel movie like advent children as well
I would love to go on a journey with Auron, Jecht and Braska again. Just imagine doing all the hard AF tasks for their legendary weapons and armors. Imagine a new monster arena with bosses harder than nemesis and penance. And the grinding to complete the biggest sphere grid ever.

...I'm good.
A game in the 2020's being all male? Thats not very progressive of you.
I approve.
So cliche.
They’re hot. I can understand.
Nothing wrong with having a sausagefest game every once in awhile.

Considering that 7 had two spin-offs featuring male leads (and only male leads if I remember correctly) in Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core (it's been a while, I may be wrong) why not do a FFX-0
I realize these aren't mainline games of the series, but perhaps title it differently, Final Fantasy X Dreams of the Past, or something.
X-3 & X-0 would be fantastic additions and I would love to play them both!
its must be interesting if they release x-0. i'd like to know wheter Jecht realize he's a "dream" or not, and what affect Jecht can also aplicable to tidus
Pfft... No."_
Square in 2016: *RELEASES FFXV* _"Girls would interfere with the bro-trip dynamic"_
Me in 2020: *FACEPALMS*
But yeah it's like Square have no idea how to answer questions correctly 😂😂
damn Toriyama 😅i hate him even more now 😜
Also square : an all female cast is fine tho xD
Weird thing about FF10 is that Tidus and Yuna acted like they didn't even know each other in World of Final Fantasy.
This is the FFX game we need - Braska’s journey
The Tale of Braska
Final Fantasy X-0
I'm ready for the Zanarkand-Bevelle war prequel game. It would be amazing for Square to pick up the easy win of more FFX-universe content.
As always, your videos are so informative and enjoyable to watch. Thank you (all who are involved in producing them) so much!
It doesn’t even have to start with the pilgrimage. It could start with the separate stories or Jecht in zanarkand, auron being disgraced, and braska and yunas mother. There could be other temporary party members ect
Only five Calms before Yuna's... wow.
Yeah, it was great seeing what happens in this world after such a major change at the end of FFX, both to the world and to the characters.
This game should’ve been FFX’s successor.
I’d love to go farther back and see Yunalesca’s pilgrimage.
Square in 2003: “We can’t imagine making a game without women”
Square in 2016: “ It’s time we made a Final Fantasy for fans and first-timers’”
2016: "for Bros and yaoi fangirls"
to be fair tho: ffxv had a strong, plot-relevant female main character
....wait, what do you mean our budget ran out and we are 15 months behind schedule?
Lol
Square: “having a party of just men wouldn’t have the right flair”
Also Square: Final Fantasy 15.
I would like X-0 with the exact same graphics and style, but square will never make a game like that again.
I really want a ffx-3 with the return of seymour
To many, he is annoying or weak as a villain but he is very underrated
He is very powerful and unlike other villains he has a justified reason to be who he is
In this channel you did a video about that, in wich Yuna and seymour grow in the "same" background but turned to be entirely diferent personalitys
I'd prefer if they go way back to Yu Yevon times.
Seeing Zanarkand and lady yuna alaska too
@DeadMemes NeedToStayDead sounds amazing
It wasn't that long ago that I sat down and played FFX and FFX-2. Can't say I really enjoyed either game but played through them regardless. One thing that really struck me was the idea of a prequel. Thanks for the video!
I always thought the character motion in X's cutscenes was a bit goofy but this video really does unintentionally showcase just how much :P
Can anyone tell me what happens at the end of the video, cause I never made it past 7:18 :P
The X-0 described here is exactly the game I wanted in 2002-2003. I used to talk to family and friends about it.
As a non religious person, I will NEVER stop praying for a Auron/Jecht/Braska prequel
i would have loved to see their story even if it was all male.
Still, i really loved that for the first time i got to play a game with all girls
@@IveBeenWithBruma agreed
With the audio drama that came with FFX:Re its a novel idea that there could be a prequel/sequel. One that flashes back to Braska, Jecht and Auron and one that follows Chiuami and Kergum (since Chiuami claims to be a daughter of Auron). With sprinklings of the in-between for FFX/X-2 it would be a great way for story expansion AND some closure.
I'd love a prequel about Yevon and the people around him. What made Yevon want to create Dream Zanarkand and Sin, what was his emotional attachment, etc.
I’m glad to see this series continued
Would you guys ever consider putting ads all at the beginning/end? The in-video ads always cut you off mid-sentence and it really sucks
So instead of a cool pilgrimage with 3 cool dudes, we got Charlie's Angels', ffx edition. JK I like x-2, but I've always wanted that prequel
i'm wondering if there was or will be a novel or series of novels concentrating on showing what went on with the characters of final fantasy 7 or 8 after the events of those games,i'd like to find out what all happened
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your content. Great work.

Done.
