Yeah, I don't really get the AI being dumb thing. They aren't the brightest and can easily be outsmarted if you hide in the shadows, but overall, they are alert, take cover, and only really seem to rush you if they have the upper hand. They were pretty easy in ranger hardcore though but only because it was my 2nd play-through and I had the crossbow lol. But for a first encounter, they offer a good challenge, even on the second hardest difficulty.
Massively underrated comment. Ranger hardcore is the best way to play the game imo but most people won’t do it. You want the game to be more realistic? Bump that difficulty up lol
Tayler Ralph You sure? I play it on Xbox and it’s been smooth as water for me dude. AI works fine, next to no graphical glitches, the physics work fine, the stealth is fine and it’s actually better than in the older Metro games, everything has been going surprisingly smoothly as far as I’ve gone.
Exodus was a desperate breath of fresh air for me. Great story imo. Loved the strength of Anna and Artyom's relationship as well as the growth of other characters. Even though Artyom and Anna have had their ups and downs, they have held strong. Something believe it or not, is not show in movies and games hardly anymore are strong traditional relationships. To me, stories like this are inspiring. Anna is a great strong female character and is more important than Artyom as he himself would sacrifice his own life for her. In this since, the story had me on edge for it's finale and in tears. The good ending with the Colonel, omg, wonderful payoff. Little things in the story too tell a lot. Artyom comes back from a mission to see an over joyed Anna waiting for him. She hugs him, pulls back, holds his hand for a minute, then, something no movies or games do, she hugs him again. THIS makes their relationship so believable and heart warming... yet in a nuclear winter. Nothing else that I've watched or played lately, captures that emotion the same way. To many times now adays, movies and games are criticized for not having female leads, in a genre that is predominately male. Males are inspired by females so we relate to the girl in distress scenarios. It's hard for us to relate or care about female leads who only care about making progress in a career as an example. Now, if that female lead was rescuing a male in distress, as weird as that may be, it would be more relatable and heart felt. I prefer characters like Anna, Alyosha, etc over the main characters most of the time anyway, as those represent the people I care about and provide my reason to push forward in this wasteland of a world. Artyom is a selfless character who puts others lives over his, which is something I relate to as I live my life this way and this engaged me beyond most storys of today. A lot of today's protagonists are selfish and egotistical when compared to Artyom, male or female, reason why Exodus was such a nice change of pace.
wow, you literally explained everything i felt about the game i finished the game some days ago and i still feel mixed emotions, the relationship of artyom and anna is beautiful, yet living in such ruined world is cruel. and their relationship is perfect like you said, she saved him alot, yet she always shows that she's always dependent on him and that he's her incentive to live and the same for him, while other games with similar relationship doesnt give you that, it shows you that both love each other, yet they are strong on their own, so they feel cold. but what touches me more deeper is, are humans so dump like this to destroy their world?, i mean, wars are understandable when a party fights the other for something and one of them wins, but what i dont understand, why use weapons that will wipe us both and leave nothing for us?
I think it had a strong traditional relationship because it's Russian. That's one thing Russia has over the US, we have to have gays and transgenders in everything.

This is my first time playing the Metro series. I will say this, I would've never gotten this game if Fallout 76 was better, so thanks Bethesda. I love the game so far. It's tough, I've never died this much or almost peed myself when something makes a sound behind you. At that moment you have to wonder, can you make the next building before you die? Chances are no. lol But so far I like it. I'm going to be posting my videos of my game play on my channel, but these will be full videos and lots of spoilers. I'm glad I caught this video and took a chance on this game. It was a pleasant surprise.
Reviewers get the game much earlier. You will be hard pressed to find user reviews for Metro. They are exclusive on epic games store for one year. That store has no ratings, no reviews and really bad privacy policies. I enjoyed every metro game and I will buy Exodus. I‘ll just wait for it to release on Steam on Feb 15th 2020, fully patched, with reviews screenshot function etc.
Honestly, I hadn’t touched a Metro game before this one. It just never seemed interesting to me. When I started playing this I was just confused and got bored. But then I decided to try out 2033 and I loved it. I fell in love with the gameplay and the story. Then after that I played Last Light and fell in love even more. They were both just phenomenal experiences. So back to Exodus I went, and needless to say, I loved it. I wasn’t confused, I didn’t get bored and being able to get so into a story and its characters felt great.
One of the best games I’ve ever played. Period. Shame it wasn’t in more game of the year award nominations. Pure masterpiece, the love and care that went into this game is obvious. I wish they got the reward they deserved. People complain about call of duty and don’t support pieces of art like this.
Hi Gameranx, I'm just playing Metro Exodus enhanced edition and I'm blown away. Everything I can wish for from this particular genre is delivered. I think it surpassed many so called triple A games.
I'm really hard to scare and this game, like previous Metro games-- I won't spoil it, but this thing had me cursing, not because of the actual threats, but because of the percieved ones. God I love good horror shooters.
Sadly these reviews don't really ever go over the parts that are game-breaking to me. Like the fact that the game seems to play itself sometimes like it's just jerking itself off in front of me. or how everyone is annoying and yelling, and the game is blurry, and controlling the character is difficult. Nothing about what he said matters at all since these things are present in the game. This is why I rent first. The game is just too demanding, and the audio doesn't even make sense most of the time.
@@SideEffectsmusic Yeah, the cutscenes can be a bit long-winded, I agree. I didn't have too many problems with the audio, where it matters. It gets weird when things are above you, but that's just an issue with speakers, in general. I didn't find too many good characters annoying. Also, yes, bandits and cannibals are annoying. Who'd have fuckin' thunk it? I can overlook the issues. I'm enjoying the heck out of the game.
I bought this game yesterday and it's absolutely amazing. I've played the other Metro games as well, huge fan of the series. Definitely enjoying it so far.

The music is very good. And the gameplay really makes you feel that you're desperately surviving through an apocalypse. And the ending... what a masterpiece. This game was truly made with a heart and passion. A must play.
I just finished playing Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition on PC (now available on Steam) and I gotta say, this is by far the most immersed single player shooter game that I have ever played. Well written back story, strong character development and absolutely stunning graphics!! I became very much emotionally connected to the characters and the ending brought tears to my eyes. I look forward to the future of the Metro game series.
Been playing this like crazy, and the only thing I don’t like is how it restricts you for like 15 minutes at a time just listening to conversation. Everything else is utterly amazing!
This game is beautiful af. I don't rush areas like other games here. You'll see me just gently walking through the world just admiring how goddamn good this game looks
I am russian from Latvia (a post soviet country) and I enjoyed playing this game a lot. It is so close to my personality. Surroundings in the game (especially first winter chapter) quite closely resemble my country. Game atmosphere is chilling and graphics look spectacular. Designers have done a huge work. There are so many spots to explore apart from main tasks. That's why I loved this game so much. Highly recommended.
The single smaller open areas are so much better than the majority of open worlds in AAA games nowadays. I don't know if it is because I am aware of the fact that the areas and things to discover are limited or because they are actually better designed than most open worlds but I really want to explore every single corner of each area and it feels great.
_I beat the game this morning, and I have to say it was my all time favorite metro game.(I got the good ending) It had the perfect blend of peaceful bliss moments on the train, to tense combat and horror, especially if you went out at night. The soundtrack was amazing, and I just can't say I found any flaws with the game. Though if there was one flaw, it was the fact the AK-47 jammed a lot more than it's real life counterpart probably would have haha._

Just got it today, the first hour is already so exciting. I think this is my game of the year next to red dead 2. But i can’t really compare because that game is set in the wild West. This game is set in post apocalyptic Russia. Very immersive for me. Highly recommend this game.

Dragoxk4 we all Know cyberpunk is gonna be another masterpiece from cd project red, that I agree with. But metro exodus is a masterpiece in its own right and genre. The post apocalyptic survival genre that defines this series. I would say it’s game of the year in that particular area. Where as red dead 2 and cyberpunk are the same epic games of there respective fields. I’m just glad to be in this modern era to enjoy these awesome games by developers that actually give a damn. For the hard working penny pinching people that demand there money’s worth. Kudos to all the people that invested a lot of love into there games.
I think it is an awesome game! The scavanging mechanics are the best I have come across and they gave you just a little more than enough open world without it becoming a bland sandboxy thing. Edit: Now that I have finished it I think less of it because it is a SUPER short game. Like way way way too short, especially compared to the previous games.
This was an incredible game with an amazing story. I loved the graphics, the plot, the tension, the insane encounters, and the Spartans. Makes me want to try out the earlier games. With that being said, I kind of disliked some areas that were awfully confusing (only like 2 places). Nonetheless, it’s such a great game that I’m still thinking about the story roughly 2-3 days after completing it (and the dlc)

This video covered pretty much everything I had on my mind while playing. Great execution, too. The Metro games seems to always work, so far, because its like you playing a little slice of history. There isn't necessarily a big start or a big end, but what happens is thick enough in atmosphere to challenge the best of movies or novels. The Stalker games were mentioned in this vid; I find that Metro Exodus is somewhat similar to Call of Pripyat in just that one detail: maybe the plot points aren't the of the grandest scale, but that's a strength. CoP is about some helicopters, with really no great reveal, and Metro Exodus does what it does, and the plot isn't as basic as in CoP, but the smallish slice of time (even though it's a long period story-wise) is done perfectly. They also did the troupe of NPC co-adventurers really well. So happy you didn't focus on the negative points

Is there ANYONE reviewing this game on any of the base consoles? Everyone's reviewing it on PC with $3k+ rigs getting a million frames per second. It's not really indicative of what the game looks like when only a small portion of people have those systems.

Just playing this now (Enhanced Edition). The train is really fun. It's kinda neat to take a breather and watch the scenery go by. Still buggy though. Floating objects like buckets and bottles and dialogue often overlaps making it hard/impossible to follow. Overall though, it's a lot of fun. Reminds me of the later Fallout games.

*LAUGHS IN RANGER HARDCORE*
Yeah, I don't really get the AI being dumb thing. They aren't the brightest and can easily be outsmarted if you hide in the shadows, but overall, they are alert, take cover, and only really seem to rush you if they have the upper hand.
They were pretty easy in ranger hardcore though but only because it was my 2nd play-through and I had the crossbow lol. But for a first encounter, they offer a good challenge, even on the second hardest difficulty.
Massively underrated comment. Ranger hardcore is the best way to play the game imo but most people won’t do it.

A lot of today's protagonists are selfish and egotistical when compared to Artyom, male or female, reason why Exodus was such a nice change of pace.
wow, you literally explained everything i felt about the game
i finished the game some days ago and i still feel mixed emotions, the relationship of artyom and anna is beautiful, yet living in such ruined world is cruel.
and their relationship is perfect like you said, she saved him alot, yet she always shows that she's always dependent on him and that he's her incentive to live and the same for him, while other games with similar relationship doesnt give you that, it shows you that both love each other, yet they are strong on their own, so they feel cold.
but what touches me more deeper is, are humans so dump like this to destroy their world?, i mean, wars are understandable when a party fights the other for something and one of them wins, but what i dont understand, why use weapons that will wipe us both and leave nothing for us?
Damn dis is an essay 6 paragraphs but no hate i do agree with u but damn
Want to like your comment but it’s 69
I think it had a strong traditional relationship because it's Russian. That's one thing Russia has over the US, we have to have gays and transgenders in everything.

Though if there was one flaw, it was the fact the AK-47 jammed a lot more than it's real life counterpart probably would have haha._

Edward 40handys Really? I’m on a PS4 Pro on a 1080 screen and the latency/input lag makes the game unplayable. There’s a delay to everything. Know cyberpunk is gonna be another masterpiece from cd project red, that I agree with.

So happy you didn't focus on the negative points

scenes link very well with the action and story. I love the creatures,
people and snow landscape. I played the first part for 6 hours...
stopped to have a rest a save some of the fun for another day :) Best
Game I've played A+ 5 Star ****** Keep up the good work ! Thank you :)
