I just finished the first two Redux games last night (- got ‘em free on EPIC). Will likely not be moving onto this one. 😛 Lol, and this dude said he didn’t even play Metro 2033.
I'm not sure why exodus is so popular. To me, it was, and by far, the least appealing of the 3 I played (the other 2 being last light and 2033). I found the atmosphère to be much more captivating in the previous games, and I rooted more for the characters. The voice acting is very poor in Exodus, dialogues starting all together and lagging unnecessarily long. I had a very hard time get involved with the characters. And the controls are frankly quite buggy, as the game mechanics: almost impassable benches, weird long slide on object after a jump that makes you slide into the air...etc... and so on and so for. I looked more like an unfinished game to me than anything else to be honest.
If you lower the resolution by one notch and use the in built fsr it plays at a stable 40 fps on the medium preset. The mix of controller controls and the trackpad make it feel better on the steam deck than with keyboard and mouse.

Also, it can be purchased dirt cheap nowadays :)
this game has only one issue and it's pretty HUGE it's TOO FREAKING SHORT btw the game was suppose to be like 10 times the size but for many reasons especially their Publisher the game was scaled down time after time after time but man i would love 100h Metro Exodus
This review convinced me to buy the enhanced edition but i did have one question, does the game offer anything to do once all the main story is over? like sidequests or tasks
I don’t think so, it’s been a while since I played it but from what I can remember once you beat it that’s it unfortunately
@@JacksGameReviews alright, thanks for the info :)
You can start a new game in "New Game Plus" mode which gives you new options and difficulty settings and lets you start with the xbow if you like. And there are two DLCs, Two Colonels and Sam's story, but they are separate stories in same game world.
Can someone explain how my first playthrough I had a limit of 15 minutes of filters and my second playthrough has a limit of 30 .. I haven’t changed anything just curious
The jank on this game is what makes it charming to me gameplaywise.
Cyberpunk n metro exodus is though two best games ever made storywise
Buy with the DLCs (gold edition).
Good point, it’s usually on sale most of the time anyway :D
Just bought the gold edition on for $5 on PlayStation
It's on sale for $6 thinking of getting it
Just got it for $6 for my PS5
It's a good game but I don't understand the huge amount of love for the series is it mainly nostalgia? I like read the notes but everything else is alright
Man you guys are insane. The dialogue and characters are so cringe I can barely finish this game. Whenever someone starts monologuing I just get up from my PC and go get a drink until they finish.
Play it in Russian - the dialogue sounds more natural.
Welp i just spoiled myself. I just got past volga with a different duke ending from the on in this vid.....
Dont just buy this get all 3 theyre amazing
I just buy it on ps5 the gold edition never playing it so i will give it a try 😊
One of the caviats of the game is that Volga is too good and sets too high expectations for the rest of the game.
I wish so hard dead city would have been an open world.
Volga was the hardest level in the game too it felt really out of place
greeat game apart from that game breaking bug when you come out the tunnel and enter the desert biome for the first time. I HATED THAT, Had to uninstall and walk away
Great review
One of the best game I played
I just finished the first two Redux games last night (- got ‘em free on EPIC). Will likely not be moving onto this one. 😛
Lol, and this dude said he didn’t even play Metro 2033.
So this is my first metro i guess ima play them backwards 😂
I just started playing 2033.
You think that you can spolier this strony or game in 2023??
Anyone know how this runs on steamdeck? The other 2 run very well on sd!
If you lower the resolution by one notch and use the in built fsr it plays at a stable 40 fps on the medium preset. The mix of controller controls and the trackpad make it feel better on the steam deck than with keyboard and mouse.
Its my birthday today
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAI!
Happy birthday.
I've played 2. times. Unskippable cutscenes and shitty movement are real pain in the ass.
Trueeeee forgot you can’t skip the cutscenes
Weird choice
