Great job on the vid! The "book" value for the stoichometric (a/f )is 14.7. Real world it's 14.3 for older engines. Dropping not lower than mid 12 to one under heavy loads. But, every engine is a bit differant.
Watch, on you tube, Nick's garage as he dyno tests and tunes all of his builds. It will give some really great insite on tuning.

did you test the new sniper 2 system or the original sniper? either way appreciate the video!

@ebifurai415 this is the original sniper. They don't offer the sniper 2 in the 2300 model. I will be doing a sniper 2 on the rockcrawler I am currently building though. Will do a full install and tune video on it.

@@OldIronOffroad sounds good! bummer they don't offer the new sniper in a 2 barrel configuration. I'm looking to replace my holley 2300 after stalling in a steep/exposed grade a few days ago. sketchy to say the least haha.

@@ebifurai415 No doubt!! I expect they will make the switch on the 2300 stuff soon as well

Thanks for the info! Just installed one of these on my 78 power wagon and wheeled it this weekend. Now I have an idea on how to go look more in to its tuning.

Thanks for the info! That demystified a lot for me. im going to go for it im not afraid of working through new software and this looks fairly straight forward. Really appreciate the honest opinion.

Is there a reason the AFR targets are in a very block segregated fashion or should this be more smooth from different rpm and map ratios? Asking because I’m not sure and I’ve seen some look very smoothed or more based on map psig than rpm?

This is how the wizard populates the AFR table. Some manual smoothing of the table is recommended.

Hey Levi, you said this was on an IH 345 V8. Was this the 2bbl Sniper? And if so, was it on a 2bbl or 4 bbl intake? I am worried about the spreadbore 4 bbl intake I currently have messing with the Sniper 2bbl setup. I do plan on swapping over to the sniper 2bbl this year. I am interested in more on this topic.

This was the 2 bbl sniper. We actually swapped the intake over from a 4 to a 2 for the install.
