I have found several games, especially under the PS1 menu that don't work (Doom, Classic Games by Intellevision, etc.). The boot up works, I can only watch demos and credits, like it doesn't even recognize my controller trying to push start. Recently, I purchased the LABISTS Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Complete Starter PRO Kit with 32GB Micro SD Card (4GB RAM). I was finally able to get it set up and I was able to play a few games on it last night (5/26/21). The main reason why I decided to go with a Raspberry Pi was because I'm a child of the 80s and 90s. I wanted to have a system that let me play retro video games such as arcade games and console games (Genesis & SNES) from that time period. The problem I've run into now is that some of the roms work fine and others don't. I can't figure out why this is happening. I have heard that arcade roms use MAME, etc . . . Some of the arcade and 16-bit console roms are working, but other ones are not. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix this latest issue that I'm facing? Thanks.
Its just the emulator that is trying to play the games. You got to load the correct emulator for it. If you don't have it then it has to be downloaded. Thanks for checking out the video.
I removed some non-working roms from my flash drive, but those same roms remain in my Raspberry Pi 4 device. They're still there even after I restart Emulation Station. Why is this? How can I remedy this?

The same thing is happening to me on the TV using an HDMI cable. It was working just fine about an hour ago, and then my son played it and clicked something and now the games are loading but when you click on it the screen turns black like it's going to load and it just goes back to the main list of games. Any suggestions for having the same issue on the TV? We can't seem to find the reconfiguration screen that you showed on this video.
Gonna have to try this out pulled the tmnt 4 player rom off the rick dangerous forever image that works on that image fine in the pi but when i put it on the v man image I have in my pi 4 now it dont work

KI on a pi4 only works with mame 2016, but if its the arcade version you need to overclock it. I have a video on my channel showing you how it plays , you just have to look at the latest videos on the channel. I appreciate the comment as well.
You have to go into retroarch and set the ratio to what the size of your screen is. If you don't keep it on core provided then vertical games will be full screen as well. Up to you.
I mean the video preview when you are selecting games. Like when you highlight AVP in the video and the small window on the right shows a clip of the game. I cannot figure out how to enable that.
It means boosting the cpu to its highest level, but you can risk burning out your pi if it is not cooled properly. I recommend 2 fans if you decide to overclock it, but again do this at your own risk.

Well that means that is the only one that was installed. If you hook your pi up to the internet and then go to retropie or options. Then go to retropie setup, then manage packages and then optional packages and download the other emulators you want. Hope this helps.

My system used to run fine, but now no games at all load. Games I've played before no longer work. I just get a black screen.
If you have a pi it could be a bad micro sd card but it could also br the main emulator as well.
What if none of the emulators work?
Are you being serious? Just making sure is all. At least one of them should work or its just a bad rom.
