I do not think there is a tool or database that I know up to find that out. The only way to know for sure is to test them out in a version of Mame or if they come from a collection it normally has a year on it.
The revenue chart comparing video games to music and movies is laughable because games cost like $70 a piece now and have DLCs that cost $10 and higher and seem to come out quite frequently whereas with a music most people pay $8 or $10 a month for Spotify or Apple Music, if that. You go buy a movie for $10-$15 and don't have to buy DLC for it. Ever. So of course revenue for video games is going to be more because it costs more. Just common sense. 🤣😂

I do not own a steam deck yet so I will not be of much help in that area. However I do know if you want to run emulators on the steam deck you want to get Emudeck it makes the whole process easier.
You just stick a thumb drive with your games and bios into the Steam Deck and copy them over while in desktop mode. It's so simple bro. Emudeck literally has text files in each folder to tell you exactly what goes there. Hope this helps.

Most of my files were gone, but I still had steam, Microsoft edge, and my emulator, DeSmuMeE. And I checked if I had my emulated games. And I did. But my pc is safe now. So I’m confused, like usual.
Most if not all of these roms are hash-checked to verify they are exactly what they should be. That type of blue-screen issue might indicate a failing hard drive. Not sure how old it is but you might want to run a diskscan to make sure it's not dying on you.
Well on 3ds for example, the encrypted will only work on official 3ds consoles not emulators but decrypted will work on emulators but not the consoles. Hope that helps!
Some systems do not need bios files (NES, Sega Genesis) while others do( Ps1, Dreamcast). When you try to run a game and it does not load or you get a message about needing bios then you will know that system needs them to run.
If you download the full RetroArch or Batocera bios package you should be good. It is hard to keep up with what needs bios files and what don't. For example old Atari 2600 doesn't need bios, but old ColecoVision does. The whole bios package doesn't take up a lot of space so you might as well download all of them.

Its ok to preserve and archive the games, but making a video about it knowing that all the emulation is being under fire and direct attack is dangerous for these web sites.
