A052 for sweaty single hot laps and hill climbs is how I feel. Nankang CRS on the EF at Honda Nationals was great but took take a bit longer to warm up and was a more consistent tyre to lap on. To try for me is RE71rs But more importantly CRS do look the best 😆
Thank you for reviewing your tyres mate. It is very informative. Nice you're in AU. Looks like Japanese tyres suffer a bit here. Also, nice that you aren't biased to one brand👍🏽👍🏽
@@cahernandezhe I wouldn't say they suffer, they are high performance tyres built for a certain purpose and that is fast individual laps. RE71RS, CRS and A052 are all great tyres if you choose the right one, or even another tyre in the 200tw category.
Great review as always Rhys. A052 in my smsp experience, we only get about 70% through the lap before they completely fall off grip wise and right front on the fwd Hondas usually last about 4/6 hot laps over 3 15 minute sessions before they need to get binned. A052 is also great in the wet.
@@cgrschannel7256 yeah, the RE71RS is a really good tyre and probably the best overall tyre and will probably be where I end up after this set wears out.
nice review. I'll be intersted to try something new when i kill my curren Kenda KR20A Kaisers. I don't really have anything to compare them to, other than a few street tires, but for $200 tires I'm definitely happy with them. Not looking forward to forking out for 18s in better-known brands though haha

Keen to see a review on the new 200tw "Hoosier Track Attack Pro" in the near future!
Aslong as they make it in 15" sizes
@@EnasiAU 205/50/15 due at the end of this year, 225/45/15 the end of next. I assume we'll be able to order them once they are available in the US.
@@rhysrhysrhyssounds good!
Very keen to see this comparison as well. Running CR-S atm and I'm enjoying them. (lapping not sprints etc).
@@rhysrhysrhys they are available on tirerack and are confirmed to be more exxy than A052s lol
hahaha love the subtle jabs at what time attack truely is (only 3 laps vs a 15min sessions :P)

Thanks Chris, appreciate it.
No surprise that is your experience with A052s considering the pace and power you guys are running up there!
@@rhysrhysrhys I also do think for dry running. RE71RS is a faster tyre and I think is able to do back to back laps.

@@rhysrhysrhys Have you ran the v730 or rs4's in the past before? how do you compare them when accounting for cost
There is a measurable difference in favour of the a052 against the crs for 60ft times.
Perfect tyre for Friday night drags at Calder then!
