Very clean mods
In my opinion, flaws in the original design needs to be addressed before anything else. So my top 5 would be in this order:
1: Cobb Accessport with the Stage 0 OTS tune.
2: IAG/Crawford AOS(Air Oil separator for those who don't know) separator to greatly reduce the carbon build up on your valves. There's videos of guys who have shown what the valves look like after 30,000 miles and it's horrible. These FA20 direct injection engines have a LOT of carbon build up and it's fast.
3: Perrin Pitch stop mount. There are reports of the OEM mounts cracking/breaking so upgrading that is a must in my opinion.
4: Front mount intercooler for less heatsoak and better intake temps overall.
5: Save up for either better brake pads/Brembos from a STI of the same generation/15'+ STi transmission swap. 1 or these three.
These are just my Top 5 initial mods in my opinion.

Cobb stage 0 is a copy of the factory map. You would want to run "Stage 1".
FMIC is a total waste of time and money, unless you are going with a super insane giant turbo !!!! What most people seem to not realise, is your intercooler only functions if your vehicle is moving at a good speed !!!!! There's a reason why, when dyno testing, they put a fan of some type on the intercooler. So as long as you are actually driving your car, and not doing parking lot drifting the TMIC is way more than adequate. Other big mistake people make with the TMIC is they remove all the plastic shrouding around it that directs the airflow through it. it was put there for a reason - not just to block off the view of your intake !!!!
Stage 0 tune was just for the horrible factory throttle mapping. 30% throttle is 100% throttle and that right there to me ruins MPG's and is just plain annoying. If there was a tune to just do throttle 1:1 then I'd use just that. Cobb Stage 1 requires actual mods if I remember right. I'm basing my list off of a stock WRX. Not with bolt-ons already.
I based my intercooler as being a potential mod because of IAT's while you're at a stop with a top mount vs a front mount. The top mount throughout the years has been documented as soaking in a lot of heat while the car is idle. This is lower with a front mount as the intercoolers position is not on the top of the engine, rather in front where air is much cooler and not soaking in the extreme heat dissipation off of the engine. My list are opinions so please take it as such. Nothing is said to be set "in stone".

common misconception that one guy made up and everyone started saying. It doesn't void your warranty, nothing can void your warranty but what it can possibly do is deny you a claim.
A crap car with a warranty or a great car that might have warranty issues easy choice.

You really need to rotate those camber plates man! They aren't meant to sit diagonally. If they don't fit, that means you need to swap them left to right.

Rims and tires*. You won't call the rims as wheels if the rims are not functional wheel yet.so you need to put the tires on the rims to make it a whole functional wheels.

Very first mod that should be done BRAKES - if you can't stop, you shouldn't be moving. SECOND - Transmission - the stock gears can't even handle the stock hp, never mind trying to increase it. THIRD - Driveshafts - same reason as number 2. Fourth - Internals - you need to seriously upgrade the crank and rods before you do anything to the FA20 - they cheaped out on these right from factory, so much so that in future years you are going to hear us poor boosted FA20 owners crying of bent rods as much as you hear the current EJ25 owners crying about ringland failure. And finally #5 - an air/oil separator aka knockout can - the '15 owners are already dealing with the very expensive process of de-carboning their intake valves due to the direct injection. Now that you have done all of that, you can get your accessport and get to work !! - or for 1/4 of the money you just spent - buy the STi to begin with!
I make 380whp and have no transmission issues. Been modded since 400 miles. Another friend of mine makes 440whp, 60k miles. Both of us stock motor stock transmissions, no issues
With a good tune and tq kept low or having tq not come on until later in the rpms, it helps save the rods. Get a good tune before anything
